When I started going to Vision Express, I started noticing the difference - the staff were a lot more professional and competent, but still as friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of frames to choose from and when I order contact lenses, I have the option of either having them delivered to my home or collection within 3 days! When I was in the US recently the receptionist posted my prescription to me for free as I had to order new lenses out here, which saved me the hefty cost of an eye exam and lens aftercare exam in the US. The type of coloured contact lens I wear is hard to find, but they still are able to order them within their 3-day period even though they had to track them down (they'd never ordered them before). They go above and beyond to help their customers so I'd recommend them to anyone, even if the price is a little higher than what I was used to.

They like to give discounts to regular customers, and the staff are extremely friendly. However, the receptionist is quite the dud - for over 7 years I regularly ordered the same types of contact lenses (Acuvue) every month, and each time she would either order the wrong power lenses, the wrong amount, the wrong colour or the wrong brand. Sometimes the lenses would even be broken. After a while the contact lens supplier (an external supplier) said he would accept no more returns, so I was stuck with many the wrong brand/broken lenses etc. The final straw was when the receptionist ordered Focus Dailies, a brand I'd never even tried or mentioned, and both she and the manager had the nerve to tell me that this brand was what I'd been ordering for the past 7 years every month! I showed them receipts and previous empty boxes of my Acuvue orders, but the receptionist stuck to her story but then apologised. Since then I've been with Vision Express, who order my lenses and deliver them within 3 days. I'd have to wait at least a week at Large & Large, and it would take up to three weeks because of delays due to the receptionist's idiocy and incompetence. Avoid ordering contact lenses from here!
