They were unable to book me into another slot when I wasn't working. Would not recommend them if you need to book time off work as appointment slots are not reliable. After 4 years with them have now swapped back to my much more reliable village optician.

After changing my schedule to attend and a half hour drive, Vision Express said that they had not "confirmed" the appointment; neither had they informed me that I did not have the slot. So they have taken a page from the airlines and now double book people so that they are not inconvenienced with a cancellation. Most time slots are not available, I assume because they are already double booked. My mistake thinking an open slot was an "open slot" -- no where does it say that it's a "Waiting List", but every VE employee will explain it as such, even customer service. At the end of their email, they state: "We look forward to seeing you." Never again.

It's a shame when perfectly good establishments get brought down by a single irate customer. I got a very short notice booking, from a lady at the till who even remembered my name when I cam back. I had an eye test and was treated very professionally by the optician. I then had a very smooth experience choosing a pair of glasses, and they've promised to deliver those glasses quicker than their normal service because I have to travel on business Though in fairness, they haven't yet delivered them So perhaps I should update this review if and when I get the glasses! They weren't spectacularly helpful, or friendly, just professional and reasonable. I'd happily go back, but hope I don't need to.

Very upset by my last visit to Specsavers and felt so let down by the service I thought I should…read morewrite a review. The actual eye test was brilliant the lady was excellent explaining everything and fixing all the problems I had. After the eye test I was asked to do a test on a machine where you have to wear a patch over one eye at a time and then click a clicker everytime you see a light. The Floor manager gave me the patch to put on and sat me down then asked another sales lady to come and watch how to do it so she could do it on her own for other people. However he kept saying he didn't even know how it worked and didn't care if I could hear. Neither of them were clear if it was working but didn't tell me to my face. I was then asked to sit outside the room I had done the test in and wait. I waited for a little while before being asked to do it again. They talked again about not knowing how it worked. At no point did they ask if I was ok for time or ask if I was ok or even apologise for keeping me so long. After the second test I was asked to wait again outside the room. After waiting they told me I would have to do the test again on collection of my glasses still no explanation of the test or why I wa shaving to retake it or any apology or anything! A total disreguard of the customer. I was in there just for an eye test but was there for 2 hours. I was so annoyed as parking costs were higher than expected, it's just lucky I didn't have any important appointments to get to!

Very professional staff makes you feel important and welcome, always ready to assist. OK, it is not the cheapest option, but when it comes to health - I am prepared to pay extra and be sure I get quality in return. They have great variety of frames - starting from standard clasic ones, up to designer stuff. Depends how much you are prepared to spend. If I remember right, they do NHS glasses as well.
