They were unable to book me into another slot when I wasn't working. Would not recommend them if you need to book time off work as appointment slots are not reliable. After changing my schedule to attend and a half hour drive, Vision Express said that they had not "confirmed" the appointment; neither had they informed me that I did not have the slot. So they have taken a page from the airlines and now double book people so that they are not inconvenienced with a cancellation. Most time slots are not available, I assume because they are already double booked. My mistake thinking an open slot was an "open slot" -- no where does it say that it's a "Waiting List", but every VE employee will explain it as such, even customer service. At the end of their email, they state: "We look forward to seeing you." Never again.

OK, it is not the cheapest option, but when it comes to health - I am prepared to pay extra and be sure I get quality in return. They have great variety of frames - starting from standard clasic ones, up to designer stuff. Depends how much you are prepared to spend. If I remember right, they do NHS glasses as well.

The test itself was very thorough and choosing my specs was a breeze with lots of frames to choose from. They also said they would try to get my glasses for me quickly as l had broken my other pair. Very pleasant and professional staff who knew rheir stuff. Going back for contacts tomorrow. All round a good experience.
