I am a BIG fan of Just Essentials and I really wish we had these shops up in Glasgow. This shop is a haven for all your make up, hair & beauty needs. The thing I like most about JE is that they stock other different brands of make up that you can't easily buy in other shops (or at all). They also have a great line in faux big name perfumes. They used to only have a few but since I last visited they have extended their range and it is now quite extensive. They have a list behind the counter if you have a particular favourite scent and if it's on the list then the smell-alike will cost you a fraction of the price of the real thing. Before Trading Standards get involved I must add that these scents AREN'T claiming to be or even pretending to be the real thang ~ they all have very peculiar names that don't sound anything like the big name perfume they smell a bit like (Two of my faves being Tender Stalking& Bondage! Haha! S'nice). My favourite smells are the 2 that smell very similar to Alien; Stars and another that comes in a funky and rather mental purple bottle called something like Galactica ~ both are really good prices (roughly £5.99) and I can vouch that they are a lovely alternative to the real thing. Good as a handbag scent. The other reason I am now even MORE of a JE fan is that they now stock one of favourite hair dye brands; Manic Panic. This is an American brand of semi-permanent hair dye that is quite hard to get hold of in any shops in the UK and I usually have to buy mine online (with a hefty P&P added on top!) so the fact you can just walk into JE and buy a tub of MP hair dye for a really reasonable £9.99 is brilliant! I tell thee, I shall be getting my Mum to post me up supplies when I run out! They also stock the great Directions and Crazy Colour. As well as LOADS of make-up, nail varnishes, eyelashes, perfumes, piercing jewellery & hair dyes they also specialise in hair extensions & coloured/party contact lenses, in all varieties of styles & shades for both. The ladies who work in here are always lovely and very helpful and the prices are really good. As I said, I REALLY wish there was one in Glasgow! Kings Lynn; you lucky people!
