I had an appt to drop off my two dogs for 11:15 am on a Sunday but due to having to drop my daughter off at a camp, we were running behind. When I finally was back to my phone at 12:30, I text Danielle who is an employee and asked if we could reschedule for the evening drop off time which was indicated to be no issue when we toured the place. I never received a response. I did not text the Specialty Care number because the last time I did to cancel a reservation, they never saw it, and this prevented the spot from being filled. Also, they don't answer their phones, ever, so why would I? Around 5:30pm, I sent a final text as seen in this attachment and basically informed them that they had wasted my time and I had to make new arrangements. Once I received the inappropriate response from Danielle, I decided to send all the screenshots to the specialty care line in hopes Leslie would see them. She called me the next day and proceeded to gas light me into believing this was my fault somehow continuously asking me why did I not call her? Because no one ever answers the phone and it's not my job to chase around the staff when her employee is a representative of the business and should have been able to handle the request. And if she couldn't, then send me to who could. Leslie is not a nice person when you try to give constructive feedback as any normal, reasonable person would do. They wasted my time, caused me distress with having to rearrange boarding and I would urge folks to rethink using this place. I was polite and patient with Leslie but she became aggressive in her tone when I told her this place was not a good fit for us and there wasn't anything g left to discuss. That wasn't good enough. She continued to repeat herself as if I was a toddler she was trying to scold so I just hung up. Very bazaar behavior. I think she was recording the conversation because there have been previous reviews that she likes to threaten to sue you if you tell the truth about the business practices. read more

If I could give a negative review, I would. We entrusted her with the care of our cat for a weekend. Leslie put our cat in an outside dog pen. Had we known she was going to do that, we never would have left him there! When she got up the next morning, the pen was empty. She gave us a very hard time about putting up flyers in the neighborhood, coming onto her property to look for him, etc. Sent me a nasty-gram on my phone after we put an ad in the paper, threatening to sue us because we put the name of her boarding facility in the ad. She's a nasty piece of work. Didn't give two cents about our cat. Avoid at all costs!!! read more

Specially Pet Care is so unbelievably awesome, caring, and professional! They even send out the cutest Christmas cards. I love the fact that my cats can enjoy the comfort of our home and have Leslie check in on them. She plays with them, brushes them, and sometimes leaves a new toy. She even texts me upon visits (with pictures at times) to let me know all is well. Furthermore, she has assisted me with some previous undesirable pet behaviors. Finally, she will even bring in your mail or packages and/or water plants if needed. Everyone that I know that uses her loves her and is very pleased. A++ read more

This place is amazing! The entire staff takes such good care of our Bella. She adores them. We adore them. We love it that they all have veterinary experience and know how to take care of special needs pets. We never worry about Bella when she is their care. Our vet has nothing but good things to say about them. Leslie Drummond runs a great service, from day care to extended stays, as well as home visits. The dogs all have a great time in the yard romping around with other dogs. They also have the sweetest groomer, Laura, that can coax even the more difficult pets to let her give them a groom. Specialty Pet Care is essential to anyone who has a disabled pet in their family. Leslie Drummond is the very capable owner. She is a Veterinary Technician who is SC Board Certified and earned her creditials at UGA. We have boarded with Leslie since 2010. Not only did we have 2 pets (St. Bernard and Sheltie) with disabilities but one had cancer, as well. She never hesitated to take our pet to the ER or specialist when she felt our pet wasn't feeling well. Her facilities are very clean, comfy (home like) and secure. She often updates along the way as to how the pets in her care are doing.She has also taken care of our two rescued cats. They absolutely love her, just as our dogs did. Columbia is very fortunate to have Leslie here for all of the special needs pets. I highly recommend Specialty Pet Care. I never worry when they are with Leslie! read more
