Barbara did a fantastic job staging our home and getting it open-house ready. Her design choices made such a difference--removing personal distractions while creating warm, inviting spaces that helped buyers see the full potential of the home. We truly believe Barbara's staging helped shorten the time it took to sell our property by making it stand out from the moment buyers walked through the door. She's talented, professional, easy to work with, and a pleasure throughout the entire process. We couldn't have been happier with the results and highly recommend her! read more

Barbara is amazing! She can transform a plain and boring property into a beautiful place for buyers to imagine themselves living in it. She had staged all properties for me, from large estates to condos. Their work always exceeded my expectation. Buyers and visitors always ooh and aah about how beautiful the properties were. Love her fast response and her team's ability to make tight schedule projects happen too. She would also work with my clients' budget too. read more

Over the years, I've had a few bad experiences with businesses/professionals who have stellar reviews on yelp. So, I tend to take the reviews with a grain of salt and always somewhat apprehensive when making the first contact. Barbara proved to be exactly what all the other reviews portray her to be. It took me a few tries, but I believe I finally found a stager whom I can work with for the rest of my real estate career. She has this calm, unrushed and charming personality that I feel really comfortable to be around her and to talk to her. She is also an excellent communicator. She has an uncanny way of addressing complex issues even before you bring it up. (Not all professionals are like this. I can't stress enough how important this is for me.) She has a very competitive pricing and the quality of staging was beyond my expectation. When the seller got home from work on the day the staging was done, he called me right away and I'd never seen him more excited. We ended up having a few solid offers in the first week and there is no doubt in my mind that Barbara's staging gave us the extra push that we needed to accomplish our goal. Working with Barbara was such a fun and rewarding experience that I think I can honestly say that I am looking forward to starting my next project/listing even more so than usual because it means I will get a chance to work with her again. read more

We are very pleased to have chosen Specialty Home Staging for our mom's townhome. Barbara transformed the townhome from a great looking property, to a gorgeous home. When we walked through the front door after the staging was completed, we were blown away. Barbara took time to understand what we wanted to accomplish with the staging, and exceeded our vision and expectations. We greatly appreciated her extraordinary attention to detail. Barbara went above and beyond with her level of service and responsiveness. She provided a truly worry-free experience, and we highly recommend her company. read more

Our realtor recommended Barbara. We wanted to stage while we were living in the home and she had a remarkable ability to utilize the best elements of what we had with her what she added to the appearance. A neighbor that knows our home commented on our midcentury cabinet and two leather chairs that she had never noticed before that stood out. Probably most significant was how the staging complimented the photography. We listed our home on Friday as "Coming Soon" and our realtor got a call the next day with an offer well above the asking price. The offer had to be accepted before any inspection could occur as the home was not yet "Open". Solely based on the staging and photography, the offer closed in 11 days at the second highest $/sq. ft ever in the area. Barbara worked the magic needed to bring together a solid deal in short order. She has a remarkable instinct for how to show the best points of what she is showcasing. Obviously, we could not be more satisfied. Barbara easily paid for her services. read more

Barbara Armas, owner of Speciality Home Staging is one of those rare individuals with a fantastic work ethic, honest, forthright and she can transform a home from mundane mediocrity to magical and inspiring. I've been selling homes for 23 years. The difference between other stagers and Speciality Home Staging is in the details. It's those extras, that differentiate bland, and sterile to warm, inviting and homey. The buyer clientele loves her decor. Barbara brings emotion into each space and that makes everyone smile. Unlike other stagers I never have to go behind Barbara and make changers. She's amazing. With Barbara on our side, the end result is always a higher return on my client's investment. She's a true blessing. Susan Saurastri Seven Gables Real Estate Huntington Beach, CA read more

I have had the pleasure of working with Barbara on several of my listings and she has always delivered above-expectation results, so much so that I personally hired her and her crew to stage our home when we decided to make a move. The quality I truly appreciate about Barbara is she has a talent for staging a home so that it gives the potential buyers the sense that the home is warm and lovingly cared for. It doesn't feel like a staged home where people might imagine they are in a furniture store but rather like a home they could share with the ones they love! Ultimately resulting in increased interest in the home an increased number of offers received and an increased final selling price for the home! She also takes the time to utilize items belonging to the homeowners when possible truly highlighting their nice pieces and minimizing their cost. Barbara more than covers the investment made in merchandising the home (which is reasonable) I would even venture to say if your selling your home or representing a seller you can't afford not to hire her, especially in this shifting market! Properly merchandised homes sell faster and for more than those that are not. Thank you Barbara I truly appreciate you and your team!! read more

Look no further!! Barbara is AMAZING! I was looking to list my home quickly and have never used a stager before. I was concerned about the price being too high and the style not matching my own taste. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the results! Barbara first told me she was overbooked and would not be able to help me, but after a little pleading she was willing to do a quick consult. She called me and texted me tips and had me send pictures of the current state of our home and what pieces of furniture we needed. She then was going to come by without seeing the home first and stage the best she could. I filled the dining room table with decorative items she may want to use and honestly hadn't had a chance to remove a lot of excess items I was hoping to before she came. I figured she could bring a few pieces of furniture she could and at least pull a few things together and make the house more tied together and we would clean up the excess items later. When she arrived at our house, she came with a truck full of items and asked us to go run errands for a few hours and then come back. This as a control freak totally scared me as I wanted to be able to go room by room and tell her what I envisioned. When we did return home a few hours later, I couldn't believe what she accomplished without even seeing our house before hand other than through pictures!! She found items all through the house and used them to decorate, moved furniture around and gave it a whole new life! We were beyond blown away and the house was staged ready to show! They put all excess items in the garage. Overall the highlights are: you get an amazing deal for what they do and she works with you on payment, she has a great eye and keeps with your style while makin the home feel warm and inviting, and she really tries to use what you already have so you don't have to use very much of her items. We wished we used her when we first moved in so we could live in the house looking so perfect!!! Thank you so much Barbara and team!!! read more

As a realtor and investor, I worked with different staging compaines. I am always hoping to find the most professional team with best taste and work ethic, and reasonable price. It is by no means easy! After reading so many 5-star reviews about Barbara and her team, I tried her service for 2 of my listings in one week. I believe Barbara is what I am looking for all the time. I am a perfectionist, and I told her the TV on top of the fireplace in one of my listings is kind of small, and hoping she can come back to switch it during workdays. She moved all her busy schecule on the same day I texted her (Sunday!) and drove across the county to switch it for me. She really cares about her client! Barbara, you definitely stand out among them all. I won't hesitate to recomend her team to all! read more

Our home closed in 15 days. We got 5 offers after 1 Home house. We couldn't have done it without Barbara!!! Barbara is AMAZING! I don't write yelp reviews, but I am so impressed by Barbara's work that I had to write a review. She is like the bewitch of home staging. I called Barbara on Tues morning and she had a slot open to come to my house on Wed. afternoon. She came to take some pictures of the house and said she would give me a to do list along with the price and we scheduled for the home staging for the following Tuesday. I've attached before and after pictures. The work speaks for itself! She literally comes in takes photos of before and then does the set-up. It is amazing how she can transform your house. read more

Barbara's home staging looked amazing and really came to life in our real estate photos. Her vision for combining colors, textures, shapes and furniture angles, while showing off our home was really top notch! We can't than you enough, Barbara! read more

Barbara was fantastic. She took much of our own stuff, combined it with a little bit of her own stuff, and made our home look the best it's looked in 10 years. We are so pleased with the job she did! Our home hasn't even gone on the market yet, but my wife and I know that when it does it will sell quickly. Most of the credit for that goes to Barbara and her fantastic home staging skills. Now our home has a flow to it, with different, separate, distict zones, and my wife and I love it so much we wanted to ask if Barbara would come back once we purchase a new home and help us decorate our new place. Thanks again Barbara! read more

We had quite a challenge on our hands to sell our Park Estates home after putting it on the market in November of 2018, and also with a recent downward turn in real estate values but Barbara worked her magic in our home and we received a full ask cash offer after being on the market for only 11 days! My only regret is that I didn't use Barbara when we first bought our home because she rearranged furniture, pictures and objects in such a artful and creative way that I unfortunately didn't have the vision for! It was truly a treat to have our home staged professionally and it paid off handsomely. read more

She left us with a "wow" feeling when we entered our home. We are really impressed and had thoughts like "why didnt we think of that" whether it be a picture here or a chair there. Thanks to Specialty Home Staging our home sold in less than 24 hours, following a bidding war and selling for $17,000 over the asking price. With Barbara's help our 1908 home was made to look and feel spacious, warm, inviting and up to date while taking into consideration period details and location. All along the way she gently encouraged and guided us to de-clutter and pack, repair and remove things that would distract buyers from seeing the beauty and selling points of our home. Barbara was dedicated to making my home look its best and when she was done, it really looked like it could have been in a magazine. She knew exactly what needed to be done and worked tirelessly, until it was completed. I recommend her to everyone I know that is planning on selling their home. She took a complete assessment of my space including taking a ton of photos and measurements. She came up with a game plan and then shared her vision with me.After that, she wasted no time in executing the plan. I loved that she was able to use my existing furniture and decor pieces and just deduced them by A LOT!!! I was able to use her pointers in setting up my new home. Additionally, I really loved living in my home once it was staged. Having all the clutter and needless things out of the way, make for such a stress free environment. In addition, she was just a great person with whom to work. Fun and Funny and extremely pleasant. We need more Barbaras in our daily life. read more

As a divorced, single Mom, when the time came to sell my home, I was a bit overwhelmed. I had heard another stager say, "We will take all of the furniture out from downstairs to get started," and I started to cry! My Realtor introduced me to Barbara, and in ONE DAY she completely staged my home using ALL of my furniture and accessorized with her own items. I couldn't believe the change in my home. The colors were vivid and not "beige," and the unique home items she added combined with her perfect touch, made my home look like I couldn't afford it any longer :) She moved my furniture around, re-hung mirrors and pictures, and added in some creative and bold art work. She even drives her own truck! What I enjoyed the most, and did not expect, was being able to live in my home, with my daughter and 2 dogs, during this selling process. We did not feel uncomfortable or scared to relax. It was completely stress free. Barbara was professional, caring, quiet and worked around me as I did a dreaded garage sale that same day. When she was done, the professional photos and video were amazing. Each room had its own theme and color scheme. My home looked great, felt modern and smelled wonderful, thanks to her fancy candles. My home sold in a few days for $26k over asking, and I had several buyers that went into a bidding war frenzy. I have never been more proud of my home, and that would not have been possible without Barbara's touch and creativity. Her prices were incredibly affordable for such 5 Star service. I cannot thank her enough!! I wish I could write more, but I will leave this review by saying I would highly recommend her over any of those huge, obnoxious, expensive staging companies! read more

Barbara is a true professional and wonderful at her job! She staged a home we just completed construction on in Orange County, which is a distance from my home in Los Angeles. I spoke with Barbara over the phone. She immediately went to the home to assess our needs and gave me a comprehensive quote, detailing exactly what her services provide. I hired Barbara immediately. Her work was perfect and showcased the home beautifully. Her decor absolutely showed buyers how this "house" would look as their "home." It was beautiful! She brought exactly the right pieces, completed it in 1/2 a day, and sent me stunning photos that evening. We had several offers right away! I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Barbara in person, but I feel like I know her. I highly recommend specialty home staging. Stand back and let her work her magic! Guarantee she will help you get the most for your home. read more

After learning how staged homes sell faster, I immediately began researching staging companies. I chose this company because of their professionalism, fast service, prompt returned calls, very reasonable prices, beautiful furniture and market-trending decorating ideas. This company pushed me outside of my comfort zones with some ideas, but knows what buyers want. All the little touches turned out to be stellar, as each and every prospective buyer commented on how beautiful the place looked and how they wouldn't change a thing. In fact, most families asked if they could keep the furniture. Thank you Barbara Armas for all your hard work, great ideas, and enabling me to sell my home quickly! Just check out some before and after photos. I honestly wanted to move back in when she was done. SIMPLY PERFECT! read more

My situation is a bit different than others leaving feedback for Barbara at Speciality Home Staging. I am in the process of remodeling my family, living and kitchen areas. I was looking to get rid of really good pampered furniture and I spoke to Barbara about my items. Although her inventory was already full she emailed me several times to suggest other places that could use my items. She didn't have to go through those extra steps to help me. I eventually made arrangements with The Home Consignment Center close to my house. I had to move out my items before I could buy any new items and she bent over backwards to help. And she didn't have to. If and when I ever decide to sell my home I will DEFINITELY remember Barbara at Speciality Home Staging. Barbara you're AWESOME! read more
