For my son's 10th birthday we decided to host a paintball party. When I called to make the…read morereservation and ask questions about how it all worked, they assured me that my son and his group would play only with kids his age, NOT adults. However, when we arrived and I questioned seeing kids and adults playing together, the man working behind the register stated that "The adults are more scared of the kids since they are smaller and can move quicker" and that it wasn't an issue. As our group played, they did kids and adults games and some kid only games. During the last match of kids and adults, one of the girls in our group was shot within close range (less than 6 feet) eight times in the stomach by an adult. She was crying and in pain and the welts were bleeding. The ref came over to apologize twice and say it shouldn't have happened. He said he would speak to the adult, which he did. That adult should have received a warning that if he shoots someone at that close of range again, he'd be dejected from the game. This was a grown adult man who should know better than to shoot a 13-year old girl in the stomach 8 times at close range. Please consider informing your staff who are taking reservations that games are a mix of kids and adults so parents are correctly informed. Also, when staff is explaining the rules to participants, consider telling participants that actions, like this, will not be tolerated and can result in being asked to leave.

The paintballs still sting too. The fields at this place were great. We played in the "old west" town and had a blast. I am going to try and get some friends to go play in their woods this summer after all the leaves come in.

They start you off with 100 rounds and people average 250 an hour. You do the math. We paid before we got here about $20 a person. We spent another $20 on extra ammo. That said, the guys working here are super sweet. Very safety oriented. Very friendly. Very calm. They obviously enjoy their jobs. You get a gun, you get a safety goggles, they go over the rules, split you up into teams if need be, and you go to the field. You can play different games like capture the flag but if you're hit, you raise your hand and your gun in the air and then you have to touch the wall in the back of the field before you're in the game again. There are little puffy structures you can hide behind. Paintballs here are the 50 something kind which is lower caliber and doesn't hurt as much. We didn't get the special suits and at one point I got shot in my belly where my shirt had risen up: ouch! and it was red. But not deathly pain. I could even see this for date night. Do it!

Super Friendly staff besides the main guy behind the counter (John in the red shirt)... could hear him yelling at little kids during orientation and just being flat out rude to some. I was sitting at my table with my kid and could hear John getting frustrated during the orientation which made us wonder why is he in the customer service business if he does not have patience for his customers...

This huge indoor facility must have opened recently, because I would've noticed it sooner otherwise. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the heart of downtown St. Paul this place is just a short drive for me. I went on my own on a Saturday afternoon and found just a single group playing. The staff was quite helpful and quickly got me setup and a rundown of the basics, then grouped me with the rest of the paintballers. I lucked out - the whole day stayed quiet, but I was still able to meet lots of great people, from age 12 to 40. If you need to get out of the house, it's hard to beat running around a huge course, diving behind inflatable barriers and shooting a bunch of people you just met. If I had been able to enjoy the fun for a little less $$ then this would be a 5 star for sure!

Previously before here the only other place I have played at was Combat Zone in Hinckley which is super fun but very run down so that is what I had to compare this to. This is much more kept up with plenty of picnic tables setup to accommodate our group size which was around a dozen or so. I am just a recreational player so I am basing my review from as such. Things I liked You can do all your waiver stuff online before you even get here, making checking in much faster and easier so you can get to playing. Getting a gross, sweaty rental mask just doesn't sound that great so it's nice it's worth the extra price to have your own mask. You also refill your own air tanks whenever you need it so you don't have to stand in line to get a tank swapped or filled. Lots of tables for you to spread your stuff out on and everyone in your group. Your group is assigned your own referee for the day. Course selection, having multiple courses to play keep it exciting. They have plenty of bottled water for sale which it's important to stay hydrated. Overall it was a good time, the courses are fun & staff was friendly. Paintballs are sold by the bag of 500 so if you go nuts shooting you can run up a decent size tab quickly. The time went pretty quick when I was there, I wish we would have been able to get a few more rounds in but the ref for very insistent pretty much down to the minute about being done once our time expired with no options for continuing play. I also wish they had some food, so plan on bringing all your own stuff to eat as they don't even have snacks in between matches. Overall a good time playing paintball & I would return.

I have brought probably 5-6 people here for their first experience and it has ALWAYS resulted in them coming back for a second time. The refs are a bunch of high school kids who love the sport and are learning how their first work experience goes. They do a great job and are learning so feel free to give them feedback. They have ALWAYS been open to banter and feedback to make the experience better. I will absolutely be coming back again and will continue bringing new people with me because you will go once and DEFINITELY be hooked to come a 2nd or 3rd time for sure. With regards to the guy who left the 1-Star review, take note, GroupOn Crybaby AND that guy got on Yelp to leave 1 review in his/her entire career... Whatever happened, it was years ago. They have got a great product now and definitely deserve your business! Have a ton of fun and tell them the JOSH's review on Yelp is what did the trick. They will laugh. Bring a friend!

There was no warmth and everyone acted like we were disturbing them. Then when we went to pay, a woman ignored us at the cash register while she talked to a fellow employee. No acknowledgment despite obviously seeing us. Eventually she started to check us out and stopped halfway through and said someone else would check us out. The person who eventually checked us out had been standing there idle the entire time. He ignored us. Finally, we had to bring back the shoes we purchased because of a problem with them and they refused to take them back. I understand there is a reluctance to take back shoes that have been worn (very briefly) on concrete (not dirt) but they quickly got angry and were not kind. This was the same guy, by the way, who ignored us talking to the attractive woman when we bought the shoes. Please know this review apples specifically to the Roseville store. We later went to the store in Coon Rapids, returned the same shoes WITHOUT QUESTION, and treated us with kindness and great customer service.
