Do not use this company unless you want to sit around wasting the whole day while no one shows up! We called Spec to fix/replace a water heater. We called in the morning and Joseph told us he had a few other jobs but could make it out to us this same day to inspect the water heater. He asked us to call him around 3pm and he would give us an ETA. We called at 3pm and left a message - around 3:30pm he contacted us back and said he was still busy, but would probably be done around 5:30 and said he would reach out then. 530pm comes and goes - we left several messages for him and he finally texted back around 8pm saying that he wouldn't make it but would call later. We gave up and called another company to come out the next day. We didn't hear from Joseph again until a text at 11am the next day, and he said if we were still looking for help he would "try to schedule us in?" Try? What??? We wasted a whole day waiting for this guy, and he kept saying that he would come and never did. It would be one thing if he told us earlier in the day he was too busy and couldn't make it out so we could call another company, but he kept us on the hook by telling us he was going to be able to see us that day. I am a property manager and called Joseph to come out a few weeks ago to cleared the drain late during the day for one of our rentals, he quoted me $225 and then 45 mins later he called and said he might have to charge more because it's harder. I told him to send me an invoice and I will pay him. He said he wants to be paid right away. He finished the work late and texted that the drain was cleared and asked for payment without saying how much nor sending me an invoice. My tenant said the drain was clear that night. I paid $225 him as promised at 7 am in the morning, since I really wanted to be a good client so we can work together again. Around 9 am, my tenant told me that the drain was backed up again. I called him, he returned my phone call later in the evening. The first thing he said pay him another $100 and he will come back to fix the drain, because I short paid him, still have not seen any invoice or answer from him whatsoever after the work was done. He claimed he already cleared it and I owe him payment in full. I refused to pay more and who would? I told him clearly that you will have to come back to fix the problem then I will send you the rest of the money.... he never came back. After the fact I read other one star reviews and they all said the same thing, he disappeared after collecting money. Joe is an amazing plumber. I called two plumbers and the first one asked for $1100 to unclog a drain by ripping out the drywall simply because it's back-to-back sink. Joe came in with his snake and unclogged the sink for us in less than 10 minutes. We're so happy we asked Joe to help us. He also helped us unclogged a drain line in the garage with a much beefier snake. He went above and beyond by feeding all 75ft of snakes into the drain even though the clogging is just a few feet away. He also showed us how to use a special balloon to clean out the debris. I did not have a good experience with Joseph. I needed a thermocouple replacement for my water heater. Joseph came on time, but he looked very disorganized. He struggled with disassembling the part - he easily spent 2 hours with it and then banged - literally! - together the replacement part and installed it. The heater did not work but he nevertheless asked for the full payment from my spouse because I wasn't around. He called in later to tell me that the entire assembly needed replacement. I then had to call a $$$ plumber who pointed out the places where the wiring was damaged and I had to shell out almost 500$ to fix the heater. On a weekend) when my mom and I decided that we could self install a dishwasher that we picked up from a Craigslist. Bad idea!! The pipe that was connected to the old dishwasher was copper and we snapped it in 2 causing water to go everywhere! Joseph was our savior!
