Tours are by appointment, and can be arranged via the Zelienople Historical Society. There are two museums within walking distance of each other, the Passavant House, and the Buhl House. Each house tour runs for approx. 45 minutes, and is led by a volunteer docent from the society. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person for the tour (which includes both houses). There is so much to see inside these two houses, and the docents were very interesting and knowledgeable. Also, there are gardens behind each house, and these can be viewed at any time since they are outdoors, and there is no charge just to view the gardens (The gardens at Passavant House are very nice, and include lots of heirloom vegetables, flowers, and fruit trees which are all labeled. Also there is a beautiful pavilion where you can sit and relax). The garden at Buhl house has flowers and a fountain, plus a spring that is running through a tunnel underneath the house. If you are in the area, do check out these magnificent homes that are now museums. Also, there are places to eat and shop within walking distance. We ate lunch at the Historic Kaufman Tavern after our tour . . . Cheers!

The live orchestra was spot on with the music. It was amazing to watch the actors freeze their action spread throughout the stage while another cast member sang and danced a solo. Excellent direction by Mike Cavalier and his choreography were key reasons this cast performed so well. The auditorium sound system and lighting director added to our entertaining evening. A clever set design used elevators, swinging doors, and even speedy scene changes to quickly change from various offices, street scenes and the mail room. Excellent work. Totally entertaining and very professional!

As a huge fan of the performing arts, I was so excited to find this venue in our new hometown. The performances were great as was the set design, sound, etc. The theater is a nice size. There is a decent size parking lot adjacent to the main building plus plenty of overflow parking close by. They had a concession area and gift shop set up in the lobby for snacks and show related keepsakes. This is a great local theater venue and cannot wait to bring the kids back.

It got more crowded as the day went on, so I would recommend going early. The museum is part of your admission into the Christmas Market, and it is definitely worth a visit. Small, but interesting. I enjoyed the log cabin as well. We didn't buy anything from any of the vendors, but there was a decent variety of wares. Parking is tough, even earlier in the day, so be prepared to walk a bit.

Jenn and her staff really have it together when it comes to their recital. At first I thought it was overload, way too serious and a bit on the crazy side with the strict dates, class and recital requirements, etc. but once I saw the recital I was sadly mistaken. The annual recital is a HUGE production and we were totally impressed. They do such an amazing job. My family had an excellent time at one of this season's "No Scare Sundays" at the Beacon. The corn…read moremaze and haunted house were fantastic! The petting zoo, horse rides, and concession stand were also great. The haunted house and maze are much more elaborate than we expected, and we were very impressed. Even in daylight there was a wide variety of decorations and effects in the haunted house, and the atmosphere was great. The maze also had decorations, including some which were quite grandiose. Both the house and the maze also had tunnels. Not just ordinary tunnels, either. You'll have to visit to see what I mean! There were some additional surprises, too. I won't elaborate -- go check them out! Although we visited in the daytime, we could also imagine some of the additional awesomeness nightfall would bring. The staff was all friendly and seemed to care about giving every visitor a great experience. I would definitely like to go back for the actual haunted version of this attraction. We will also likely visit again next year on a No Scare Sunday. Our visit was memorable, and the low prices made it a great value, too. We stayed almost the entire four hours it was open, and I think many families would do the same.
