And that is how it should be. My husband is a native French speaker and in my early attempts to learn with another teacher, my husband would look at me confused and say "Huh? Huh? Huh?". No more of that. He smiles so big because he is able to hear my improvement even when I cannot perceive it myself. First of all she is a typical French Woman (if there is such a thing), very professional, very exacting, a little formal at first which makes getting to know her all the more rewarding. Hence, she has the flexibility to tailor each session to address the specific needs of each student and to cover cultural aspects of the language not addressed in standard textbooks. I was entering my 4th year of French in High School, meaning it was an AP class, and I was struggling right off the bat. But then I found Angelique, and she helped me find the root of my problems in French and our lessons thereafter were all personalized towards what I needed to improve on the most.
