Best decision ever to come here. Here are the tips:…read more 1) book bus tickets online. There is a direct bus where first bus leaves at 8:50am and it's a 40 minute drive from the train station in Florence. You get there right before it opens at 10am. Bus leaves from separate area by the train station. They have round trip tickets. 2) if you want to go to Gucci, go there first as there is a long line to get in. 3) the welcome center is right where they drop you off. You can sign up for their loyalty program, pick up a map but most of all they have a service where they will hold your bags 4) be ready with your passport so you can get the VAT Tax refund. There's even an office there to process it you are eligible 5) bus leaves at a different area than the pick up We had a successful shopping trip and found the best deals. Go with a budget but also YOLO! They have almost every luxury brand there. It's outside so just plan accordingly. It's a beautiful there with so much greenery around.

As with any outlet shopping, it's very hit or miss. We stopped on our way from Florence to our next hotel in Tuscany since it was on the way. In the future I'm not sure I would go out of my way to make the visit but definitely worth it if you are passing through anyways. The Gucci and Prada store are huge and seemed to have the best deals but also the longest lines. I would also plant to eat before, after or bring your own food. There is a restaurant on site that is fine in a pinch but not great.

Most all of the stores in this outlet you can find in Florence. It costs almost 20€ per person to take the 30 minute shuttle ride to this place. So even if you do find some good deals here you have to take your -20€ into account. Yeah, there go your savings. Also this outlet is jam packed with a lot of westernized stores like Nike, Puma, Addidas, Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and so on. With the euro conversion and limited selection U.S. citizens you're much better off buying this stuff back in the States. Don't waste your vacation time coming here, not worth it at all.

My favourites are Pinko, Patrizia Pepe, CK, Nike, Ralph Lauren and Levi's outlets. The prices are always somewhat discounted (I'd say atleast -30%), so you can be sure to make good deals here! However the best times are surely around summer and winter sales. To get there you should take the A1 motorway towards Bologna and get out at an exit called Barberino di Mugello. I have a feeling there are buses that go here too from the city centre of Florence.
