Medications in house are pricey but I have to get more variety of forms which contribute to that. They use wedgewood, an online pharmacy which helps cost so you don't have to directly purchase from tje practice itself. You also have the option to have prescriptions sent over to other facilities if you find a lower cost for the medication you need to order. Im happy I found them.

i brought my very ill cat who is in last stages of life into see dr. ripley today because my…read moreregular vet, dr.foote was not available. i waited 45 minutes and dr. ripley never came in to meet or talk with me. i explained to them i had to get back to work. i was still required to pay $100 for an office visit that never happened. as i was leaving, one of the staff said the vet wanted me to know that my cat's vitals and health appeared good. i told her to tell the vet that my cat's is in process of dying and i know that his health is not good. what a bizarre experience.

Both recovered wonderfully and are both healthy loving cats! My boy kitty had an eye infection about a year ago and they promptly got him in and gave me medicine for him that would last a while. One of my favorite things about this place is they are always willing to work with my budget while giving the best care they can. I still pay for the things my pets need but they have good affordable options! The staff is kind and explains any and all questions I have pertaining to surgery , medications and care. I've always felt they give my babies the best care possible. Covid precautions have been nice as well, show up, call and then they come out to get your animal. With a small office this has been a major plus. My most recent appt is for a new puppy! They were able to get him in in a week, which is faster than other places! He was tested in another state while we were on vacation for parasites which came back positive, they were willing to receive that information and prescribe antibiotics fast! I love this place, I recommend it to anyone I know with pets. I couldn't imagine having any other vet or trusting another place with my furry family members!

She has dropped everything for emergencies time and again to help the animal in need. I've seen her take patients after hours and on her days off because she cares more about the animals. She's the best priced vet in the county which is a big plus. The clinic is attached to her home, so the animals are able to stay at the clinic and be monitored after surgeries. Dr. Carlson is the best vet in Whatcom County. My family said it right after the moved here in the late 80s and we still say it now in 2023

She listened to the symptoms, examined Mr Quill, and after observing him, called me to explain what needed to be done. He is now cough free. She also recommended he lose weight. I was new to the area when I started bringing my dogs here. I brought in their vaccination records…read moreat first appt so they'd have them on hand. Didn't have any real issues the first couple visits, the girls in the front were always really nice. The vets always came across a like a little less of their heart was in it, but they did their job so it was fine. A couple months ago they had reached out to me stating that one of my dogs needed their rabies vaccination. I told them I had the records and it didn't look like it was time (by 2 yrs) but they insisted it was. I accepted that maybe I was the ignorant one and just didn't understand how to fully read the records so I agreed to the appt. At previous visits at Banfield, if it's a routine vaccination, they've scheduled it to have the vet tech do the injection and they don't charge a separate exam fee. I asked if they had this option and they said no, that they require the vaccination fee and an exam fee for every visit. At the appt, (husband was in person, I was unable to attend but was on the ph ) the vet comes in and says she double checked the records and our dog IS up to date on rabies and doesn't need it. I explained to the vet that this was frustrating because I specifically asked the girls on the ph to double check because I knew it didn't sound right. The vet, it was a lady, was extremely dismissive, she was fumbling around with her words trying to find a way to blame us. I reiterated that I did not call their office to make the appt in error, they reached out to me and reassured that it was time for the shot, and this was their mistake. She really was not willing to admit that they made any mistake and kept saying, well this and well that, something about the computer, then switched to some excuse about how things are different by state (we were from CA) and there was some sort of discrepancy between the requirement of one year and 3-year rabies shots. I let her know that in either case she is confirming at this point that he doesn't need the shot so we essentially wasted our time bringing him in and for that reason we shouldn't be subject to an exam fee or the vaccination fee since he didn't get either one. I also asked them to update the records correctly in the computer to avoid the situation in the future. She eventually gave a half-assed apology and said we wouldn't be charged, but I clearly could hear the annoyance in her voice and her apology had absolutely no sincerity whatsoever, which honestly would have gone a long way, because we're all humans and mistakes happen. But. instead she ended up doubling down with her sour attitude and began to say that we should have extra vaccinations done, not the mandatory ones, but like kennel, cough and things like that. I explained that my dogs don't go to daycare and we have a fenced yard but if we have to send them at some point to boarding we will bring them in for the necessary vaccinations. She immediately started making several comments trying to guilt us, saying things like it's up to us if we refuse these really important shots and that she would if it was her dogs, but she can't force owners to do the right thing but it's up to us as the owners. It was really just gross how intentionally condescending she was being. As if that experience wasn't already bad enough, I have gotten several calls since from their automated system still stating that my pets rabies vaccination is overdue and that I need to call their office immediately to make the appt. That's it brother! This is a place that I won't be returning to not only because I don't deserve the abuse, but also because they clearly cannot get their records in order.

From the minute I called to make the appointment, they treated me like family. Very kind and patient. Dr. Durfee and Presley were so good with my little guy. They were gentle and took time to get to know me and my dog. They explained everything thoroughly and my little Bentley was really chill the whole time. About a month later brought Bentley for a nail trim. They did an amazing job and filed his nails so smooth. This week Bentley wasn't feeling well. I could tell. He had a cough and tummy troubles. Called the office and they fit us in right away. So friendly and kind, no pressure to purchase anything, made recommendations about current care and what may help once his tummy troubles clear. We have a plan to keep an eye on his heart condition two he can live as long as possible. I would clone him if I could. The entire team at Kulshan is amazing and I keep saying amazing because they are! If you're looking for any vet services, i truly and highly recommend them!!!

During this visit I let the tech know we would be out of town for the holidays when the last set of vaccinations were due and she stated, that's okay there is a 2 week grace period so as long as you get them in before 2 weeks they should be fine. I scheduled a time within the two week period and they told me I would have to start the vaccines all over again. This was a litter vaccine schedule so they would be charging a lot once again to re-vaccinate all of the puppies. If they were not so rude maybe I would think about it, but the staff has not been pleasant so many times. It's so unfortunate because the first appt with Dr. Erickson and his tech was absolutely amazing!!!

I have ever experienced in my life.. I wish I could remember his name, but I can't. He has red hair and tattoos on his arm.. do not take your cat here!!!!!
