A cone that's way too big
    Natty T.

Took my dog here to get neutered, they got him in within a week which was amazing with how many clients they have. Also EXTREMELY affordable. Literally 1/4th of the price I was getting quoted elsewhere. The only reason I give 4 stars is that they were pretty annoying and unhelpful about the cone situation. His cone was way too big. I explained this before leaving and they told me to put a string through the slits of his cone. This still didn't work so I had to spend 55 bucks to get my doodle a surgical suit which worked very well!

I don't even have the words to express how much I appreciate this clinic! My cat, Novi, had a full dental extraction last week, and I was so anxious about the aftercare and making sure I was doing everything possible to take the best care of her. Everyone has been incredible - answering my questions, easing my anxiety, and checking in with us. A special shout-out to Dani and Kerry who have been amazing supports to me in the after care process! They have been my absolute rocks through this whole thing, and I honestly don't think I could have made it through without their kindness, patience, and the wealth of information they've shared with me. There are also other amazing women whose names I didn't catch, but they've been wonderful as well. I would recommend this clinic to anyone in need of their services - great prices and truly exceptional aftercare support!

Second time at this facility and it continues to impress and help the community. Pricing is BEYOND reasonable. They are all friendly and they have an amazing staff. They do great work. My golden came last year for a neuter and this week my Dalmatian came for a spay, a great overall experience

Incision looks great and you can see her little IV spot too.

We brought our pup here and they did great work! Drop off was smooth. There was a lot of people and a lot of animals, but they had a good rhythm for drop off. Very efficient. They do charge extra for a bunch of little things like IV fluids and blood work. I think that's how they keep their prices low. So that was a bit of a surprise when I was expected $125 bill and ended up paying $215. But I agreed to them because it felt right for my dog. Right after surgery, the vet called me to let me know it all went well. I was so happy to hear. After hanging up the phone, I forgot to ask if she had a hernia or not, so I texted the line. They responded quickly and let me know she didn't have one. Pick up was smooth as well. I was grateful they told me she was done early. Picked her up around 3. Her incision looked great! On the way home, I noticed they even trimmed her nails. I try and trim them about 1-2 times a month, so they weren't very long, but it was time. It was nice of them to trim them for me. No additional cost.

I adopted a dog who had a procedure done at Spay & Neuter the day I got him. I was told I had to go back to S&N to get the stitches removed after 14 days... First, the stitches looked horrendous. It looked like someone off the street stitched him up instead of a licensed veterinarian. The incision sight wasn't clean at all, but very jagged and uneven. There was a large bulge of skin that looked raw. I'm pretty sure he would of had better luck getting this surgery at a Vet School. I took him back in after a week because I didn't like the way the stitches looked and I was worried his paw wouldn't heal properly. After waiting for 45 minutes in the parking lot, they took him in, restitched him, and then told me to give him daily medication...but never addressed my concerns of the initial surgery or my questions regarding the original procedure. (Ie. Why did they only remove one dewclaw and not the other?!?) No surprise, when he was scheduled to get his stitches removed, I had to wait another 35 minutes (even though I had an appointment scheduled) only to be told the incision sight hadn't healed and we needed to wait another 4 days. (Why 4? Wouldn't another week make more sense?) I went back 4 days later, waited nearly an hour in the parking lot, and once the removal was complete I saw the real damage from the original, poorly executed surgery. His poor skin did not heal together at all. It's safe to say, I will never return to Spay & Neuter again.

    That incision healed great

The vet is really good, she was able to save my dogs cracked tooth because she is specially trained to ado sealant and basically repair the tooth where most vets just pull it if it's broken. I was so happy they could save her large canine that she mostly chews with. The price was fair as well. Would highly recommend. Her teeth are perfectly white now. They also offer a sedation free dental cleaning service if the dog doesn't have major teeth problems like the broken tooth my dog has. If the dog has a good temperament they can clean the teeth with no sedation which would be much more affordable and safer for the dog. I am planning to return for the sedation free cleaning in the future.

**WARNING: NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE**…read more (It's been 7 months since the co-owner to my now deceased cat wrote this review... and we have still yet to hear from them or get any condolences whatsoever. I now feel compelled to re-share this as they are nominated for multiple undeserving 'Best of Utah' awards...) "Front desk staff are rude and without empathy. They told us they would call back with test results in X days and that a prescription would be ready for pickup in X days. That day came and went without contact. When we called them asking if the prescription was ready, and if there were test results, both were ready. But there was audible annoyance that we called them despite them not doing what they said they would, when they said they would. Dr. Lynette is nice but she has too much on her plate to do more than give a cursory glance at your pet's chart. She did not give our cat the attention she needed, and needed us to remind her of all of our cat's issues during each visit. We had an emergency and left a frantic, frightened message asking for help. Without any answer, we took our cat to an emergency vet. They immediately identified pre-existing issues and needs that Dr. Lynette failed to notice. Dr. Lynette treated our cat's symptoms and made zero effort in finding the underlying cause. This resulted in 2 traumatic experiences: 1) We had to put our poor sweet cat down. We lost a beloved member of our family. 2) We found out our beloved girl had been in pain for MONTHS and was quietly suffering because of undiagnosed and untreated issues - issues that the emergency vet eyeballed in their FIRST VISIT and that we were told weren't an issue at this vet. 3) That frantic, tear-filled voicemail that was left shortly before we took our cat to the ER? NEVER ANSWERED. How callous can you be to hear someone crying and asking for help and just...ignore it? We haven't been there in months, since our cat obviously passed away. A competent vet would have maybe noticed we weren't calling for our monthly prescription refill. Or that they never followed up on our cat's chronic UTI that was "being monitored" by them. Or that we are overdue for vaccines. Or that we are overdue for an annual check up. Nope. Nothing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM. THEY CANNOT HANDLE ANYTHING BEYOND THE MOST BASIC CHECK UP TYPE CARE." I thought this was worth sharing again, as we are still heartbroken and no one deserves for this to happen to their furry family members. Rest in peace my sweet Cocoa girl. I will love you until the end of time. I'm sorry I failed you.

I found a dog on the side of the road and rescued him to foster him. I went in to get him checked out so that I could know about any health problems before he was adopted to his forever home, and to get him some immunizations just in case he was behind. During this appt they signed me up for a Paw Plan, stating that would be the cheapest option and not mentioning that it would be several hundred dollars when I canceled the plan at his adoption. So here we are, I have spoken to their billing department (Quentin who was rude and aggressive from the beginning) and their manager (Brittney who spoke to me with a complete lack of empathy and told me it wasn't her job to explain to me why we couldn't come to a compromise over +-$100), neither of whom has been able to explain to me why I should be paying hundreds of dollars for an adopted dog to get two immunizations when I could have gone any number of other places for immunizations that would have costed me less than the Paw Plan payments. They were rude and completely uninterested in a compromised cost, and they have absolutely lost my business forever. Don't expect for any longevity of a perfect client who has paid tens of thousands of dollars over the years, to get you any special consideration. Just a small amount of compromise would have left me feeling better about the interaction and about Holladay Vet in general. I would STRONGLY suggest that Holladay Vet invest in some customer service with their billing. The vet techs and people working at the desk clearly have some; it would be a good idea to clean up the back half so that people like myself don't feel so betrayed and taken advantage of. I would suggest going to ANY other vet clinic in town.

I called and they were able to get me on the schedule for the next day. Unfortunately, I'm unsure they should have scheduled me as they were extremely busy. When I came to pick her up, much later than anticipated, the receptionist told me it would be $1700 when my estimate read $1300. The receptionist did their best to help me understand what they could and were plenty kind thankfully. I unfortunately did not read/was not verbally informed of the fine print that says full payment is required at the time of the procedure until after I had dropped my baby off. I signed up for a third party payment option they have in an emotional, rushed state to try to get my cat home but it still wasn't enough to cover the bill. They let me take my baby home anyway as the manager was gone for the day, but didn't tell me how many teeth were extracted or what work was actually done--only aftercare instructions and a giant invoice. I had to ask FOUR times to get a breakdown of what the "Feline Dental Package" the next day. I finally got the breakdown and it turns out the receptionist told me incorrectly, and that the total was not $1700 but around $1300 after all. Still, I had a remaining $370 balance after paying 400 out of pocket day of and using the third party system for another chunk of the payment, and this morning they texted me (not even a phone call) informing me that if I didn't pay the full price today by 6PM it would be sent to collections. I simply find sending a bill to collections after only 24 hours to be insane and predatory as a vet practice. I gave them an exact date (only a month away) that I could pay them by, but all of their replies were cold and not understanding. I was never referred to by my own name while interacting with any of the staff, despite them being kind in passing. Overall, I'm upset to see a vet clinic schedule me in one day and expect me to cough up $1300, hold my cat for 12 hours (not sure if this is standard in the industry though) and then send a bill for $374 to collections after ONE DAY! This was our third visit but I still didn't feel like I had personal rapport with anyone there. The impression I got of this business was that they only want "high end" customers who can afford to pay them outright for their "high end everything in house" vibe and they won't be flexible when working with those of us who are young, first time pet owners who may be struggling financially. They only tried to call me after I pointed out that it is not a good look to text me three sentences about your "policy on no payment plans" instead of informing of said policy beforehand. You can read the interactions yourself below. I did my best to stay understanding and kind but I never once received any kind of apology for the misunderstanding, for the long wait or any customer service that felt human (minus the kind receptionist at pickup). It feels like texting a corporate rep, not a person who loves animals. No payment plans in the economy of 2026 is so insane! Needless to say I will be finding a new vet after this experience
