Dog after vet visit with his little bandage after getting his teeth cleaned. He was good as new the next day!
    Catherine P.

I went here due to their great reviews. My 11 year old mutt needed his teeth cleaned and after a not-so-great experience elsewhere I brought him here. The staff was lovely and caring and understanding, Dr Lynette was empathetic, explained what they would be doing to my best buddy, and put my mind at ease about anesthesia despite his advanced age. They even called to follow up the next day. Amazing practice, and my 11-year-old now has the teeth of a 5 year old pup! :D

This clinic was wonderful. They fit me in because my dog was suffering, in spite of being entirely booked already. They watched him throughout the day and kept me informed of everything. The prices were also reasonable and less than all my previous experiences. I greatly appreciated what they did for me and my dog.

Neighborhood Veterinary Care always treats our Ellie with care! She loves the staff, as do we. They're kind and great at making recommendations as to the best options of care. They won't recommend unnecessary tests or medications. If you're looking for a vet in the Salt Lake area, take your furry friend here!

I adopted a rescue from Texas a little over a year ago. I've brought him to Neighborhood Veterinary since his first check-up! Dr. Vanessa has been so caring, so attentive, and open to any questions! Recently, my pup jumped out of our moving vehicle, scarring myself and my teenager who witnesses it heading to school. Dr. Lynette, another vet at the practice, worked in my pup to make sure he was okay! Love this place. ***Biggest shoutout*** goes to Donna, vet tech at the front desk. Donna cares SO much! Donna called me 2 times to check in on Domino after he jumped from the vehicle. Donna pushed for us to get in, she's an angel!

Neighborhood Vet is the best vet I've been to in my time owning a dog which is 10 years!!! My experience started with Ashley. Ashley answered my phone call and was very accommodating in getting me an appointment soon and fitting me into their busy schedule. She informed me that Bambi would have a drop off appointment and assured me they would take care of her and help her. This was the 3rd vet office I would visit for the same issue which was expressing my dog's impacted anal glands. I was so worried because I had visited 2 previous offices and they weren't able to help me at all but they were able to take my money, and a lot of it. However, I felt confident and at ease after speaking to Ashley. When I arrived to my appointment, I was so pleasantly greeted by both Ashley herself and another amazing woman named Donna. Donna was so sweet to me and treated me like I was family. Donna assured me that Bambi would be checked into her apartment and that she was in good hands. I've never left Bambi at a vet before but I wasn't even worried. I was so confident and relieved that she was were she belonged. After a couple hours, I was called and requested to come pick up my precious fur baby. When I arrived back at the office to pick her up, I was greeted by Doctor Vanessa. Doctor Vanessa is the vet that helped my little Bambi and she was so professional, thorough, and caring. She explained to me the entire process and how she even inserted a tiny curved syreng into the anal gland duct and flushed the gland with an antibiotic ointment. They even cleaned her up and Bambi was so happy when I was there to pick her up. Doctor Vanessa also prescribed her an oral antibiotic pill that I am giving her every 12 hours for 10 days, with food. I wanted to give Doctor Vanessa a big giant hug!!!! She is my HERO!!!! I am sooooo grateful for her patience, persistence and dedication to help Bambi and not giving up because the gland duct was very tiny and it was a very difficult procedure. I had 2 previous vets try and give up and I am so happy that I've found Neighborhood Vet. After doctor Vanessa answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, Donna helped me check out and pay. I was shocked with how reasonable the charges were. I would've paid anything to have my baby taken care of but they didn't rip me off at all. They are extremely fair on pricing and they have now earned a happy customer for life. Donna was so personable and we talked about how I feed Bambi a beautiful breakfast and what we both like to eat for breakfast. I have never felt so appreciated and welcomed by a business before. Donna is such an angel and the way she makes you feel is indescribable. Donna even walked me to the door and blew me a kiss goodbye as I left the office. The next business day, I received a beautiful and heart warming call from Donna. She just called to tell me how wonderful it was to meet me and she said she wanted to see how beautiful Bambi was feeling. She wanted to know if I had any questions or concerns and assured me that I can call them anytime before 5:30pm if I need them. I cannot express enough how very GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE I am for Neighborhood Vet, Doctor Vanessa, Ashley, and Donna. Thank you thank you thank you to all of the staff and for the exceptional customer service. I will forever be a loyal and happy customer and I cannot wait to return to my follow up appointment in 3 weeks. I feel like the staff at Neighborhood Vet are my friends. I love them!!!

I found a dog on the side of the road and rescued him to foster him. I went in to get him checked out so that I could know about any health problems before he was adopted to his forever home, and to get him some immunizations just in case he was behind. During this appt they signed me up for a Paw Plan, stating that would be the cheapest option and not mentioning that it would be several hundred dollars when I canceled the plan at his adoption. So here we are, I have spoken to their billing department (Quentin who was rude and aggressive from the beginning) and their manager (Brittney who spoke to me with a complete lack of empathy and told me it wasn't her job to explain to me why we couldn't come to a compromise over +-$100), neither of whom has been able to explain to me why I should be paying hundreds of dollars for an adopted dog to get two immunizations when I could have gone any number of other places for immunizations that would have costed me less than the Paw Plan payments. They were rude and completely uninterested in a compromised cost, and they have absolutely lost my business forever. Don't expect for any longevity of a perfect client who has paid tens of thousands of dollars over the years, to get you any special consideration. Just a small amount of compromise would have left me feeling better about the interaction and about Holladay Vet in general. I would STRONGLY suggest that Holladay Vet invest in some customer service with their billing. The vet techs and people working at the desk clearly have some; it would be a good idea to clean up the back half so that people like myself don't feel so betrayed and taken advantage of. I would suggest going to ANY other vet clinic in town.

I called and they were able to get me on the schedule for the next day. Unfortunately, I'm unsure they should have scheduled me as they were extremely busy. When I came to pick her up, much later than anticipated, the receptionist told me it would be $1700 when my estimate read $1300. The receptionist did their best to help me understand what they could and were plenty kind thankfully. I unfortunately did not read/was not verbally informed of the fine print that says full payment is required at the time of the procedure until after I had dropped my baby off. I signed up for a third party payment option they have in an emotional, rushed state to try to get my cat home but it still wasn't enough to cover the bill. They let me take my baby home anyway as the manager was gone for the day, but didn't tell me how many teeth were extracted or what work was actually done--only aftercare instructions and a giant invoice. I had to ask FOUR times to get a breakdown of what the "Feline Dental Package" the next day. I finally got the breakdown and it turns out the receptionist told me incorrectly, and that the total was not $1700 but around $1300 after all. Still, I had a remaining $370 balance after paying 400 out of pocket day of and using the third party system for another chunk of the payment, and this morning they texted me (not even a phone call) informing me that if I didn't pay the full price today by 6PM it would be sent to collections. I simply find sending a bill to collections after only 24 hours to be insane and predatory as a vet practice. I gave them an exact date (only a month away) that I could pay them by, but all of their replies were cold and not understanding. I was never referred to by my own name while interacting with any of the staff, despite them being kind in passing. Overall, I'm upset to see a vet clinic schedule me in one day and expect me to cough up $1300, hold my cat for 12 hours (not sure if this is standard in the industry though) and then send a bill for $374 to collections after ONE DAY! This was our third visit but I still didn't feel like I had personal rapport with anyone there. The impression I got of this business was that they only want "high end" customers who can afford to pay them outright for their "high end everything in house" vibe and they won't be flexible when working with those of us who are young, first time pet owners who may be struggling financially. They only tried to call me after I pointed out that it is not a good look to text me three sentences about your "policy on no payment plans" instead of informing of said policy beforehand. You can read the interactions yourself below. I did my best to stay understanding and kind but I never once received any kind of apology for the misunderstanding, for the long wait or any customer service that felt human (minus the kind receptionist at pickup). It feels like texting a corporate rep, not a person who loves animals. No payment plans in the economy of 2026 is so insane! Needless to say I will be finding a new vet after this experience
