Loved this vet clinic! They did a dental cleaning for my 6 yr old standard Poodle who had a broken tooth and lots of tartar, her breath was horrible! The vet is really good, she was able to save my dogs cracked tooth because she is specially trained to ado sealant and basically repair the tooth where most vets just pull it if it's broken. I was so happy they could save her large canine that she mostly chews with. The price was fair as well. Would highly recommend. Her teeth are perfectly white now. They also offer a sedation free dental cleaning service if the dog doesn't have major teeth problems like the broken tooth my dog has. If the dog has a good temperament they can clean the teeth with no sedation which would be much more affordable and safer for the dog. I am planning to return for the sedation free cleaning in the future. read more

I now feel compelled to re-share this as they are nominated for multiple undeserving 'Best of Utah' awards...) "Front desk staff are rude and without empathy. They told us they would call back with test results in X days and that a prescription would be ready for pickup in X days. That day came and went without contact. When we called them asking if the prescription was ready, and if there were test results, both were ready. But there was audible annoyance that we called them despite them not doing what they said they would, when they said they would. Dr. Lynette is nice but she has too much on her plate to do more than give a cursory glance at your pet's chart. She did not give our cat the attention she needed, and needed us to remind her of all of our cat's issues during each visit. We had an emergency and left a frantic, frightened message asking for help. Without any answer, we took our cat to an emergency vet. They immediately identified pre-existing issues and needs that Dr. Lynette failed to notice. Dr. Lynette treated our cat's symptoms and made zero effort in finding the underlying cause. This resulted in 2 traumatic experiences: 1) We had to put our poor sweet cat down. We lost a beloved member of our family. 2) We found out our beloved girl had been in pain for MONTHS and was quietly suffering because of undiagnosed and untreated issues - issues that the emergency vet eyeballed in their FIRST VISIT and that we were told weren't an issue at this vet. 3) That frantic, tear-filled voicemail that was left shortly before we took our cat to the ER? NEVER ANSWERED. How callous can you be to hear someone crying and asking for help and just...ignore it? We haven't been there in months, since our cat obviously passed away. A competent vet would have maybe noticed we weren't calling for our monthly prescription refill. Or that they never followed up on our cat's chronic UTI that was "being monitored" by them. Or that we are overdue for vaccines. Or that we are overdue for an annual check up. Nope. Nothing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM. The vet tried to put her ungloved/dry finger in my cat's butt for seemingly no reason at all, they gate kept a life saving prescription from us, they don't have a fax machine so if you want refills you have to physically go in and get them, and they constantly shill for Purina in a pushy and embarrassing way. Every single person on the staff that we met seemed either drunk or high on something. If I could give a zero I would. Do not waste your time. read more

I went here due to their great reviews. My 11 year old mutt needed his teeth cleaned and after a not-so-great experience elsewhere I brought him here. The staff was lovely and caring and understanding, Dr Lynette was empathetic, explained what they would be doing to my best buddy, and put my mind at ease about anesthesia despite his advanced age. Unfortunately, the news was not good for our wonderful Ninja. Dr. Jeff called to tell me the litany of things that were wrong with him. He spent about 20 -30 minutes on the phone going over our options and giving me his recommendations, which I agreed with reluctently but wholeheartedly. Which were no extra ordinary measures. We proceeded to cuddle, coddle and love Ninja. We had hoped that he would pass peacefully at home. That was not to be, we called Neighboorhood Veterinary Care early one morning to arrange to have Ninja put to sleep. They were very accommodating and fit us in with in 2 hours. Dr. Lynette performed the procedure and was so calming, loving, and sympathetic as she put Ninja to rest. I have had previous cat put to sleep at another vet, which was handeled exceptionally well, but Dr. Lynette was head and shoulders above my last experience. I truly cannot say enough good about this place. Its truly a game changer. I've had animals for 25 yrs of my adult life and this is the experience you always want out of of veterinary practice but never get! We came here last week because I was fed up with my previous vet. I have a 14 y/o golden retriever that I was told to put down immediately. Then when I called back for questions no one would answer. I was beside myself. My friend said to go to dr Lynette! From the moment you call it's a different experience. The phone was answered...kindly! I wasn't even a client yet and they took down all my info and said that I could be on a waitlist for the first available appt. Then that very night A woman named Donna called, after hours, to get all the details of my dog. She was the kindest person ever! She then called next day, had procured all my dogs records from previous vet, and informed me of a cancellation the next day. I couldn't believe how amazing they were already! Next day we arrive to the most beautiful office and we're immediately greeted and welcomed by the front desk! At every second we were taken care of and treated like we were old friends. It was unbelievable. Then the piece de resistance: Dr Lynette herself! She came into the exam room immediately and did a thorough exam on my dog. Looked extensively through his records and put him on a new regime. She was kind and thorough and caring! She didn't sugar coat anything but made a new plan for him. Then she actually called the next day to see how he was doing and to update me on a couple things! She never rushed me. She explained everything. I cried after she called. Tears of relief. It's been two weeks since we were there and my dog is thriving and hanging in there! I will never go anywhere else. This is the real deal and I feel like I won the lottery by finding her! I choose this place after many inquires at nearby vets in my area. Gave me little to no help and had none of the caring tone to their voices as to her condition. One place I stopped in at told me well she'll be okay until we can see her, a month later. NOT the case with DR. Lynette, and her staff they asked questions and what type symptom's she was having. Had advice as to how I can help her until she can be seen which was a couple of weeks, but then the Dr. said this, I'd hate for her to wait that long if she's having trouble breathing so lets get you on the cancellation list as well. now that's something I hadn't heard before & within 2 days she was seen. Neighborhood Vet is the best vet I've been to in my time owning a dog which is 10 years!!! My experience started with Ashley. Ashley answered my phone call and was very accommodating in getting me an appointment soon and fitting me into their busy schedule. She informed me that Bambi would have a drop off appointment and assured me they would take care of her and help her. This was the 3rd vet office I would visit for the same issue which was expressing my dog's impacted anal glands. I was so worried because I had visited 2 previous offices and they weren't able to help me at all but they were able to take my money, and a lot of it. However, I felt confident and at ease after speaking to Ashley. When I arrived to my appointment, I was so pleasantly greeted by both Ashley herself and another amazing woman named Donna. Donna was so sweet to me and treated me like I was family. Donna assured me that Bambi would be checked into her apartment and that she was in good hands. I've never left Bambi at a vet before but I wasn't even worried. I was so confident and relieved that she was were she belonged. After a couple hours, I was called and requested to come pick up my precious fur baby. When I arrived back at the office to pick her up, I was greeted by Doctor Vanessa. Doctor Vanessa is the vet that helped my little Bambi and she was so professional, thorough, and caring. She explained to me the entire process and how she even inserted a tiny curved syreng into the anal gland duct and flushed the gland with an antibiotic ointment. They even cleaned her up and Bambi was so happy when I was there to pick her up. Doctor Vanessa also prescribed her an oral antibiotic pill that I am giving her every 12 hours for 10 days, with food. I wanted to give Doctor Vanessa a big giant hug!!!! She is my HERO!!!! I am sooooo grateful for her patience, persistence and dedication to help Bambi and not giving up because the gland duct was very tiny and it was a very difficult procedure. I had 2 previous vets try and give up and I am so happy that I've found Neighborhood Vet. After doctor Vanessa answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, Donna helped me check out and pay. I was shocked with how reasonable the charges were. I would've paid anything to have my baby taken care of but they didn't rip me off at all. They are extremely fair on pricing and they have now earned a happy customer for life. Donna was so personable and we talked about how I feed Bambi a beautiful breakfast and what we both like to eat for breakfast. I have never felt so appreciated and welcomed by a business before. Donna is such an angel and the way she makes you feel is indescribable. Donna even walked me to the door and blew me a kiss goodbye as I left the office. The next business day, I received a beautiful and heart warming call from Donna. She just called to tell me how wonderful it was to meet me and she said she wanted to see how beautiful Bambi was feeling. She wanted to know if I had any questions or concerns and assured me that I can call them anytime before 5:30pm if I need them. I cannot express enough how very GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE I am for Neighborhood Vet, Doctor Vanessa, Ashley, and Donna. Was taking my dog here for seizures. After failing multiple times to call in his prescriptions, my wife managed to get ahold of them before the long Labor Day weekend. They promised they'd get it in before the long weekend. After calling the pharmacy multiple times, they told me they hadn't gotten a single call from a vet. It was clear she just took off without calling it in. They completely failed to care for my poor pooch. This wasn't the first time either. They've had issues calling in prescriptions at least 4 or 5 other times, and each time they blamed the pharmacy. I've never been to a vet where the staff cared so little for my dog. He could have died... needless to say I don't go to them anymore, and needless to say the new vet has no issues calling in prescriptions to the same exact pharmacy they tried to tell me was the issue. I'm so thankful for the entire staff here, they are very patient and extremely compassionate. We brought our 10 month old kitten in on an emergency visit, they saw us immediately. The vet was very through and kind with the outcome of the exam. We had no other options for our sweet boy, and we had to put him to sleep. It was the most kind and calm euthanasia I have ever seen. They gave us time to say our goodbyes before and after. They offer many options for cremation and memorials. I was able to get in due to a cancellation fairly quickly. This was my first visit and from the time I entered the office till the time I left I was highly impressed with the care, compassion and professionalism. We saw both Dr. Lynette and Dr. Vanessa and they were both fabulous. Both times Abby was our vet tech and she was also amazing! After my initial appointment I was scheduled for a week later follow up, but the next morning I knew I needed to get him back in. They worked with my complicated nightshift schedule and got Moe in that next day. I have been to many veterinary offices and I can say by far this was my best experience. "Nearby when you need us." Is pretty much a gimmick and false advertising as it stands now since they wouldn't see my dog due to not taking any new 'patients'. The person who answered the phone was also fairly rude about telling me this. They scoffed at me and said 'where did you hear about us?' This is kind of a crazy review because I have never been to Neighborhood Veterinary Care, but the kindness on the phone was amazing. Our dog is having sudden issues walking. When I called the vet we had used in the past, I was curtly told they couldn't see me for a week. There was no compassion. I called Neighborhood Veterinary Care and was treated with so much concern and kindness. They, too were booked. I received a call back apologizing for the delay and was told to either call back or leave my number for them to call me back first thing in the morning. The vet was willing to try to see my sweet dog. In the meantime, I was able to slip into a canceled spot at another vet. I kept the appointment. 2 weeks ago my puppy got diagnosed with HOD at a different vet office. they gave me some medicine for her and told me that we needed to find a vet office to take her to within the next 2 weeks. i called probably somewhere around 12 vet offices trying to see if they could squeeze her in anytime between then and now and no one could besides this place! i'm so very glad that they were able to take her and that i lucked out with such amazing people! everyone was so happy to see her and very helpful and kind! not to mention the price of this visit was 1/6 of the price of her initial visit to a different vet! they got me right into the exam room right as i got in the door. i don't know if it is possible to have a better vet experience than what i had today! my puppy got a new med and is on her way to feeling better! :) read more

This is the most wonderful place to take your pets. The vets and technicians are knowledgeable and most helpful in using their resources to help you and your pets. I brought in a litter of four tiny Maltese puppies, and they were so kind and sweet to Lola's babies. It was the puppies first visit, and it went so well. The staff were wonderful. This poor rating is more for their exploitative business model which prioritizes charging exorbitant prices for necessary services and management defending such practices. After being charged $600 for getting my dog fixed, I asked why it was so much more expensive than comparable services, to which management responded by shaming me for my economic class ("most customers can pay no issue") for not having fat stack$ and insultingly offering a 17$ cost reduction to take of the pain medication. Like that was the issue. If you have the money go here but if you are like me and a regular working class person seeking essential care for a pet go somewhere affordable and with better management.
