Aaron of MMC was very helpful before and during the event. The BMW staff had everything planed perfectly and the day from the events, to the water/snacks all day and lunch went smoothly. We had plenty of time in the cars at each event although I could always use more- LOL Why not right? We were broken into 3 groups and we rotated throughout the day. Drag Racing- in M2 Competitions, and M5 Competitions, Auto Cross - in 240i, and follow the leader- in M-Performance 440ix and 330i. As the day went on it became clear that this the BMW staff and the MMC are focused giving you the most exhilarating experience in a safe environment. You really got to see what these cars are capable of in a controlled environment. I was impressed at the grip and handling of the BMW cars at my limits and the nimbleness of all the cars especially the large 4300lb M5 Competition. I'm a grown man and cannot remember a time I had more fun, ever. The hot laps at the end of the day with the instructor driving showed you that as good as you think you are, you are nowhere close to giving any of these guys a run for their money. They make it look so easy, and very same cars under their hands and feet are so much faster around the track, so much more balanced and settled feeling and smooth as compared to the best of the weekend warriors that attended this event. This is a place I can see you really honing your driving skills and becoming better and better each week. The beautifully landscaped grounds, state of the art physical plant, the most amazing BMW M cars, the best track in the NE I've driven and the caliber of the instructors really make the difference. The instructors I drove with were John, Tyler, Eric and the Rally Car Instructor who took me on a wild hot lap in the Powder Blue M3. With all the speed, G's and surgical execution of the track on that hot lap, I must have repressed his name but if I recall I will come back and include. His calling of the track in the lead and follow was amazing. Calling out where your wheels should be in relation to run out strips, red cones, white cones, run over humps, and he called brake zones by flag number. I'm still not sure how he saw us all in his mirror giving us pointers the whole way while driving himself. It was a fun learning adventure and made us all better drivers for the experience with him. I cannot wait until I can figure out a way to get back to MMC !

After more than 20 years of successful shows in the Netherlands, Mysteryland hopped across the pond…read moreand done did their first US festival on the iconic Woodstock '69 grounds. Needless to say, we purchased 3-day camping tickets back in December the first three minutes they went on sale, and all had a killer weekend! The inaugural Mysteryland USA festival featured ten combined stages/areas stages with a Sunday School 3-stage mini-fest going on all weekend. A Friday night pre-party hosted by Nicky Romero was available to those with Nomad weekend camping passes, and Saturday/Sunday set times ran from 1pm all the way till 2am both days. Steve Aoki closed out the main stage on Saturday and Kaskade did the honors on Sunday, but from open to close, our day was jam-packed with killer sets both days, and plenty of exploring and dancing all around. A+ on stage design, sound, lighting, and of course, the talent! The healing garden, complete with yoga and other cool stuff added some well-needed relaxation/rejuvenation to an otherwise high-energy weekend, and there were plenty of (albeit REALLY pricey) food options. Best of all, the campgrounds provided solace just a short walk away from the party! I'm grading on a curve since this is their first time here in the states, but there's a short list for improvement: 1 - Birdie Bucks - Yes, the festival was cashless, with all purchases scanned from your wristband, but you could only purchase "Birdie Bucks" at select locations, and at the "exchange rate" of $10 USD for 9 Birdie Bucks. They claim to refund unused bucks after the festival, but then deduct a $5 service charge, so unless you want to lose money, you need to be planning & doing math so as to use all your wristband funds...and who the hell wants to do that at a festival?! Compound that with the fact that the entire system went down for a few hours, paralyzing all purchases, and you've got reason to reconsider the rationale for the system. ...Fortunately, I found a workaround to the leftover Bucks situation - Go to the merch shop (which accepts BOTH cash and Birdie Bucks), make a purchase, deplete your wristband balance first, then pay the balance in cash. 2 - Water refill stations - located dangerously close (read: inside) the outhouse area causing even more congestion, with not nearly enough pressure to fill up those camelbaks. Here's where they could take a page from Electric Zoo or EDC and have dedicated high-pressure water refill stations manned by volunteers to keep the line moving and the crowd spread out. All in all, in my mind, ID&T, the Mysteryland organizers did a terrific job their first year, and I hope that the Bethel Woods organizers feel the same so we can party on again next Memorial Day weekend!

Do I really want to reveal the mystery that is Mysteryland? As much as I want to keep this place a…read moresecret, hidden away for no one else to discover, I have to shout from the rooftops just how amazing this festival is. 1) The Logistics - Getting in, out, and around is EASY! Having been to many other festivals where just parking your car is a nightmare, Mysteryland had it all figured out. The little roads around the fest took a beating with heavy traffic but it was nothing like Woodstock back in the day I'm sure. The bathrooms were kept extremely clean at all times. I never had issues with toilet paper or disgusting porta-potties. 2) The People - Everyone was so nice and respectful. The staff were always wishing for us to have an amazing time. I loved the vibes here! 4) The Music - A nice selection of genres from hip top and trap to dark techno and everything in between. The sound was amazing! 5) The Stages - They were so perfectly placed. It was easy to go from stage to stage in 5 minutes. I saw so many artists in one day, I was so surprised! The design of the stages is so unique and each has their own vibe. With a festival that is not sold out like Mysteryland, getting to the front of each stage is an easy task. Where you would expect people to be sardines rammed up against the rail, it is the complete opposite. I vowed to never go front row at a show again after recieving many bruises after Steve Aoki in Toronto. Well here I was, front row at Claude Von Stroke and I had a good foot around me to dance and enjoy myself. I was never shoved or pushed once the entire weekend. 6) The Camping - Camp sites were huge and spacious. The Plaza Central with shops, food, and activities stayed open 24/7 which was a big plus. The general store had everything from underwear to extra tents and sleeping bags. 7) The History - This is where WOODSTOCK HAPPENED!! That is probably the most amazing thing about all of this. The hill we climb each day to go to the festival is where thousands of people stood to watch some of the greatest acts to ever live. The museum on site is very well done and can bring a tear to your eye. So much emotion in one place. Music really does bring everyone together. I'll be back Mysteryland! As long as you are around, I will be coming to visit!!

None have been as entertaining and exciting to watch as Savage Race located partially in the woods of a Skirmish course in the middle of eastern PA. There is a spectator fee ($15 online in advance, $25 day of), which I originally thought was lame the first time we were here about three years ago. That was until I saw we as non participants could actually run parallel to the actual course the entire 6 miles!! We are able to be right there in the action and watch so closely as our loved ones did their thing! It was awesome then and it just gets better after I got a feel for the land. If you're a down to get in a bit of a workout and get down and muddy, and probably a bit wet, this is a great race to attend! The kiddos who are actually free to watch love it too! Dress appropriately with hiking boots or sneaks and clothes you don't care that much about. We always bring a backpack with water or Gatorade, clean socks, a dry towel and flip flops. It takes roughly 1.5-2 hrs to finish. If you're not into experiencing Savage so closely, there are tables and chairs as well as some shaded areas near the final course, the Colosses, which is the best! The whole race is very well organized and is family friendly. They are very thorough with their waivers, so make sure everyone has their printed out and has their ID's ready. The area and crowds aren't super overwhelming as many of these races can be. I never worry about not being able to meet up with my entire party afterwards since we're all right there together pretty much the entire way. There's also a nice mix of natural elements and wooded areas too, which also sets this race apart from others. There's always an entertaining dj and a guy who gets everyone at the starting line pumped. The energy is infectious and everyone is super nice! This year they've added more food options such as 2 for $5 tacos to their usual burgers (beef and veggie), chicken fingers, fries and such, but we usually go to eat elsewhere afterward. Your bib price includes a cold beer post race. Parking is $10 for cars and $20 for trailers. Cash only. Just a heads up, you probably won't have reception. Unlike most races he's had to drag me to, this one we all enjoy as a family so much! Always an awesome, enjoyable day!!

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the staff couldn't care less about safety or customer service -- the employees spent more time talking to each other than supervising any attractions, the cashier lady was rude and hostile, and there was zero guidance or oversight at any of the stations. The property itself is disgusting: trash everywhere, bathrooms that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, animal areas that were dirty and poorly maintained, and the lake water was murky, green, and full of debris -- not remotely safe for children. Speaking of safety, my child was put into an adult go-kart, set on the fastest speed, and crashed into a wall because there was no supervision at all. The machines are old, broken down, and clearly neglected, making every ride a potential hazard. Almost all advertised activities were either closed, broken, or required extra fees, making the experience outrageously expensive for what amounts to chaos and neglect. Other reviews online confirm the same problems -- rude staff, dirty facilities, unsafe rides -- so this isn't an isolated incident. It's honestly one of the worst places I've ever been to, and unless they fire their staff, clean up their property, fix their unsafe rides, and learn what customer service means, they don't deserve anyone's business. Family Fun Farm is a disaster: unsafe, overpriced, and completely unprofessional. If you care about your family's safety, cleanliness, or sanity, stay as far away as possible -- this place is a ticking time bomb disguised as a "family-friendly farm."
