I left sparklight last yr due to prices continually increasing without an explanation. When I decided I had had enough they of course said they could lower my bill and why didn't I ask. I had been asking the last few months before I canceled to no avail. I decided two months ago to give them another try in hopes that would not happen again. It did!! Only took them two months to charge 10 more than what I agreed to pay. Called this morning to ask why the increase. No answer as to why just a mistake. A MISTAKE MY BUTT! Ur company knows exactly what ur doing and I have to wonder how many people just pay this and not even look or question it. I had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman named Rodriguez and he was very helpful and apologized for the mistake. What a man. Thank u. Ur company sucks though and should be ashamed when they price increase people for no reason at all. Shame on u Sparklight. We will see how tje next couple of months go with billing. This is one of those services you wish you could give negative stars! The most unreliable and overpriced internet service I have ever used! For those that can appreciate it, I'd rather revert back to dial up internet. Definitely recommend utilizing a hotspot long before you think of signing up for this service. read more

In late 2017, thanks to Cable One's staggeringly unreliable phone "service," my family did not learn of my father's death until almost 24 hours after the fact, when the funeral home his body was taken to finally got through. The hospital had called several times, but it never rang through. Nor was the voicemail indicator on the line working. This is just a minute example of how monopolies damage people every day, and don't "care," because of course, whatever the Supreme Court says, corporations are NOT people, are NOT citizens, AND are NOT capable of compassion or even responsibility. And anyone who thinks otherwise is a willing stooge. Shame on you. read more

It's a good thing they don't have contracts because they also don't have competent employees. I cancelled service after two weeks -- and even that was a lot of trouble. For only the second time in my life of writing reviews, if I could give a minus star review, I would here. We called to have internet put in my Dad's room at his retirement home and made the appointment. I got the automated reminder call that the appointment was the next day. I showed up at Dad's room and waited thru the two hour window they promised. No one showed up. I called Sparklight. After much searching, and transferring, I was told that the appoint was canceled. This person said that they were not allowed to go into retirement homes and we know that they do business there. No one called to tell us they cancelled. So I called the main number and got put on the phone with a salesperson who guaranteed me that they can install internet there and apologized for the problem and made another appointment for us the next week. You guessed it, no one showed up again. No one called us, so I called them. After a lot of searching again, I was told that the mgr of the branch in Twin Falls canceled the appointment and was not courteous enough to have someone call us and let us know. I was pretty hot and my wife and I went to their office address, and no one was there but some installation people. I wouldn't recommend these people for internet service to anyone. We called Centurylink (should have called them first) and the service has now already been installed. read more

I recently had my DVR box go out and Cable One came out and fixed it the next business day which was Monday morning. The customer service representive over the phone was very pleasant and easy to work with and had a technician at my house immediately. The technician was very friendly and replaced the DVR with no charge and hooked everything up for me and it was running great. Thank you so much for the awesome customer service!! read more

I've used cable one for years; however, this past year has really disappointed me in terms of service. The internet has got out three times for at least an hour at a time just in the last month. We never get any notification or recognition that there is an outage and it is nearly impossible to get a straight answer when there is one. Plus I would like to hope that we would get compensated for the outage time in terms of our bill, but I truly doubt that would happen. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! I thought I would try out their service so I called and set it up with one of their technicians who ran my social security number and charged my card $125.00. They set up a day which I took work off for and never showed up. They didn't send me a text or anything and when I called I was informed they canceled it. I understand things happen but as an established company the unprofessionalism they portrayed due to an error on their part and how they handled it is unacceptable. Please DO NOT get internet service through this company. They have untrained people taking your personal information and "overlooking" it just to charge your card and not show up and then want more money. The result was no internet, having to wait 7 days for a refund which I'm still waiting on, and my time I took off work for someone to not show up. Absolutely not okay so please be careful with this company they are unprofessional and only care about collecting your money saying you owe more and all in all a HUGE HEADACHE. If I could give Sparklight in Twin Falls no stars, I would. We moved to the area in Dec and our former internet provider was not yet in the area we moved to, so we had to settle for sparklight. Big mistake. Their service sucks on a good day. We don't have cable, we stream TV and movies and have up to five devices going at once between desk tops laptops and our tablets and phone. We signed up for the highest data amount, the one that guaranteed fast speeds. Not sure what they consider fast, but watching the little circle spin for up to 30 seconds before it loads would not be considered fast. We have to regularly reset our router and often get kicked off. During COVID when we worked and did school from home Sparklight was pathetic. Speeds are horrible, connections are horrible. We call and they tell us to reset the router. So as soon as our prior company gets out to our area we will be changing. If you need internet in Twin Falls, DO NOT go to Sparklight. read more

OK so I was leary about getting cable one internet recently. Lots of bad reviews. Would they deliver anywhere near 50mb/s? Would the ping be acceptable for gaming? We had 5mb/s centurylink internet for $50/month, and I generally liked it. I had specifically requested they turn "fastpath" on, which reduces ping times as well as reducing reliability. With that on, I felt like we had a very responsive internet connection, and I was worried cable internet was going to ruin the 'delicate' balance I had set up. We bought an sb6180 off of ebay for $30 (I would highly recommend this model). It was a bit of a pain to setup because of how I wanted it set up, but eventually got the problems fixed with some help from support. They weren't amazing, but they got the job done. However, once I got the service installed, I was thrilled to find out that they were able to reliably EXCEED 50mb/s WHILE having lower pings times to the same server vs centurylink w/ fastpath on. And over the past several months, we have had no issues with the service, consistently providing over 50mb/s and very low latency. For the same $/month as centurylink, we now get over 10x the bandwidth, slightly lower ping times (ping will be a lot lower coming from a normal connection), and a more stable connection. If you're looking for the best internet service in the Burley and nearby areas, then that would be cable one's internet. Their support may not be 5*, but as long as the service works, then I don't care. read more

My experiences with Cable one have always been great. I've used them for over 30 years since back when they were King Videocable. I love that no matter what time of day or night I have a technical problem I am able to get help. The technician on the phone always gets me fixed in little or no time. Thanks Cable One. I use their cable for television and in the recent years their wireless internet. It's awesome. They walk me thru unplug this, unplug that, plug back in and away I go. It's extremely rare that I have an issue. Cable One is great. read more

USED to be cable one was "the bomb" times change OMG!!! Since September we've had 2 service calls and made several other calls about our service.. you've seen the commercials w/the spinning circle?? THAT is cable one!! We drop the internet on a daily basis, usually numerous times a day. Call them??? There doesn't appear to be an issues they say. Going to give them ONE more chance then is GOOD BY Cable one and HELLO Century Link or ANYONE else as the slowest is still going to be quicker/better than cable one! read more

Cable One is by far the worst in providing customer service. The internet "techs" have no idea what they are doing. I tried to get my spam filter working......No help, wrote a letter to the corporate office requesting help, they did not even have the decency to answer my letter. You would think that company collecting $1,524 every month would at least offer help with there product. read more
