They do show up the Quality is okay ..for what u pay .u no what they say U get what u pay for.like Values in life .and the services is on time they come in and get it done in no time .I have had people come in and it take them all day .and from what I can tell it's all new internet speed.but it's put together in way that people that dont have the knowledge of the internet service. I used this company for over a decade. In that time, without warning, channels were dropped and rates went up. I was told that I needed to buy new packages in order to get the same programming I'd enjoyed for over 10 years. Their Internet was a joke and getting tech support was like pulling teeth--the technicians over the phone expected me to do all the work and were loathe to send anyone out. The one time a technician came out he was surly and insulting the entire time. Just a redneck slap of whitetrash with a chip on his shoulder and the mealy-mouthed attitude that accompanies that kind of lifestyle. I have since gone to AT&T U-Verse and will never look back. We have been very happy with Cableone until recently. They have changed their format for their directory guide and also the list that shows recorded programs from the dvr. The screens for both of these were large and easy to read and operate. Now they have changed it to a dark grey and black screen with words almost half the size. It is very aggravating to try and see and this may seem like not a big deal, but when you are disabled, elderly or someone who watches a lot of tv, you use the guide quite often. Other than that, the service is excellent. If this is also a problem for you, please call Cableone or write a complaint. Hopefuly, they will put it back the way it was. read more

I loathe Sparklight (CableOne.) They boast of fast internet but the connection quality is terrible. I lag in games to the point that it's almost useless to play. I reset my modem constantly. It helps for a short while but it never lasts. read more

If you stay in a small town this is the only choice you have. I bet if they had competition they will treat their customers better. They will change your plan in a minute to over charge you for faulty internet. read more

Cable One has the WORST customer service EVER. After hours, it takes FOREVER to get someone on the phone, and when you do- it is more of a person just there to take calls. The person can't EVER help you resolve your issue! They just say for you to wait until the morning. In store, there is ALWAYS just ONE person at the desk and that person is always EXTREMELY slow! I have been in there about 3 times. All 30-40minute waits! HORRIBLE. The only reason I give two stars is because the two ladies that normally work in customer service behind the desk are extremely kind. Just slow. read more

Most of Calhoun County has no choice when it comes to cable service. Cable One is the only provider for the majority of this area so customer service isn't anywhere near their top 20 things to do on any given day. For years I put up with spotty internet and cable reception. My service would go out sometimes several times a day. I'd call to get service. The support rep on the phone would tap on his keyboard a minute and then affirm with some surprise that my connection goes in and out. A guy would come out and tinker for a bit then leave. A few days would go by and the situation would repeat. Sometimes we'd go a few weeks with no interruption then bingo- we start the cycle again. My mother-in-law once tried to get an optional feature removed from her telephone service. The Cable One agent who took her call bungled something and killed her internet and cable service. For days she called and went round and round with one Cable One rep after another. Nobody knew what went wrong or how to fix it. After days of stress and lack of connection, they restored everything without any real apology, explaination and absolutely no reimbursement for all the time she went without service. I'm living in another city now with a great cable provider. I now have blazingly fast internet and have had absolutely no issues for the year I've been here. Cable One's slogan is "Watch us make you smile." They absolutely will- when you leave them and sign up with someone else. read more

I am so disappointed with Cable One. I became a customer in 2009 when the price was 35.00 per item when I bundled. I did expect an increase, what I did not count on was 80.00 per month for standard cable alone shooting my bill to almost 200.00 a month. As a good customer, I do not understand why a decent rate can not be applied for those who do pay on time. The body line is my cost for internet is 50.00 and 50.00 for my phone. Yes, I am searching for other options. I've cut back to the economy package for the t.v. and my bill has dropped my items purchase to around 40.00 a month, and I am left with seven channels to watch. I also believe the package is to steep. Everyone should find another carrier. I'm working on that now. Cable is much to high. read more

Really hated to leave. Reliability and service were good over the 25+ years, but this price increase in February 2018 with notice that another hike of 39% could be expected in 2019, was the last straw. Not to mention the absence of On Demand technology and so few channels on the Basic Plan. read more
