But I decided to give it a go & Jeremy (I'm pretty sure that was his name) worked diligently for 4 hours to try to get it as clean as he could. He did an amazing job! It looked SO much better once he was finished. Of course, they were right. My couch isn't bleach white anymore. But they were able to get many stains out & make it look so much more presentable. I'm thankful for the honesty & effort put into cleaning our beautiful couch. I will be using Smith Bro's in the future. Our couch is a large sectional & they charged $275 to have it cleaned & an additional $150 for the scotch guard product they use (only it's better than scotch guard). We did not inspect every room immediately after the cleaning because we trusted them completely -- in fact, we even gave them a 20% tip for the service. When I contacted them about the broken item, instead of being honest or apologetic, they denied responsibility and later sent me a photo of the broken decor claiming it was already broken beforehand. That response made no sense because we were home the entire time they were cleaning. If the item had truly already been broken before they touched anything, any professional and trustworthy company would have immediately informed us when they noticed it -- not wait until after being confronted. The dishonesty was far more upsetting than the broken decor itself. Accidents happen, but lying to customers and trying to avoid accountability is unacceptable. Another concern was their payment policy. They required half the payment upfront before starting the cleaning and the remaining balance afterward. I have never experienced this with a professional cleaning company before, and combined with this experience, it left a very bad impression. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
