UPDATE: I have been using Miae's services since 2007 and she has always been reliable.  As…read moreaforementioned in my 2015 review, she has assisted my family with 2 condo purchases.  However, since then, she also has provided other services for subsequent deed/title transfers and advice on avoiding probate court.  In response to some of the past reviews, the 1st one sounds like she's angry for not getting hired after a poor job interview with the office...no complaint for any legal service that was provided. As for the 2012 review, people should realize that most questions/problems get resolved, and resolved very quicky, just by getting on the phone...being at work is no excuse for not availing yourself for a phone call...one of you could have skipped lunch.  Legal/real estate matters are very serious matters requiring preparation and work by both sides!  As for emailing, I and most professional persons would agree with Miae. The amount of time it takes to write an email, wait for a response, and wondering/waiting when you'll get a response is a total waste of everyone's time...a follow-up call should have been made same or next day.  It's not like a store when you pay for exactly what you want and get the item instantly...legal/real estate matters require a working relationship because attorneys aren't mind readers.  Miae has always been able to address all my questions/concerns because I prepare a list of them and discuss them with her.  By preparing in this way, value is added by moving the discussion along, opening up the conversation and potentially bringing up more questions that I, or the lawyer, didn't think of before. You sound like a millennial who would rather IM, DM and text and who lost the basic skill of conversation along with cursive writing...both are lost arts nowadays with newer generations. Finally, the 2018 review with crazy all-caps, Miae always speaks to us in English and you're accusing her of only speaking with non-English speaking clients?  You need to check your own English because you really meant to write "unscrupulous". Miae absolutely knows what she's doing!  She has a good moral compass, is professional,  knowledgeable and very reliable.  If you need assistance with real estate contract/deed or personal will matters, then I definitely recommend her services.

OUR DEAL FELL DUE BECAUSE KAIKO WAS IRRESPONSIVE AND LACKED EXPERTISE. We chose Kaiko as our attorney thinking they would provide us proper attorney services and we would be able to get the contract process started. Little did we know, they delayed the contract signing by mentioning that there may be some issues with the condo which will likely be addressed if they did their due diligence by reviewing board minutes. We went out of our way to chase documents when it was their job to do so, we had to call back and forth with Kaiko to get a simple response that addressed our questions. We would call Kaiko's office and then ask if they reached out to condo management, THEN they would email management during our call to ask because they did not email at all! At the end of the day, if youre looking to use them as attorneys, I WOULD NOT recommend them because your deal may fall through due to negligence.
