Pleasantly Surprised…read more My stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise from the moment I booked. I reserved the room through the app as a Gold member, which comes with a few perks, and since I only needed the room for one night, the process was simple and convenient. I arrived around 3:00 PM and was greeted promptly by the front desk. I planned to check in at that time but was told it would be about five more minutes while they finished preparing the room--no problem at all. I decided to head to the conference I was in town for and returned later that evening around 7:30 PM. At that time, there was quite a crowd checking in and only one person working the front desk, which resulted in a short wait. Despite that, the check-in process went smoothly. I was informed that the in-person room rate was higher than what I had booked online; however, as a Gold member, they honored the original price. That genuinely surprised me, as I've never experienced that level of consideration before. Once in the room, there were a few details that kept the stay from being a full five-star experience. Upon entry, there was a noticeable damp, stuffy smell--possibly due to the apartment-style layout. Additionally, a bit more attention to cleaning would have helped: there was a broken fingernail on the floor, hair on the sofa, and a food stain on the dresser. Nothing major, but noticeable, especially since I had been told the room was being cleaned several hours earlier. From that point on, however, everything was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was a standout. While it was standard hotel fare, it was clearly prepared with care and had great flavor. On a cold winter morning, the hot breakfast, along with coffee, tea, juice, muffins, oatmeal, eggs, and a full breakfast bar, was both comforting and impressive. Overall, aside from those few minor issues, I truly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. With a bit more attention to detail in room cleaning and additional front desk staffing during peak check-in times, this hotel could easily deliver a consistent five-star experience.

For example the side door our key was not working and they called maintenance to check the battery in the door. Then our other key lost its access to the room so they quickly helped us get a replacement. I called to ask for an extended check out as we were so exhausted, we're trying to rest more because our son has insomnia and kept us up almost all night and he finally fell asleep. as sure as i asked to extend he woke up and wanted to swim but that was very helpful to have the extended time to have him swim because then he slept almost the entire ride home. The staff were extremely polite to him and he just loved all of their kindness as well as did we. From the moment we checked in until we left we felt very well taken care of and the hotel was room was clean, perfect space for us and our two dogs. Again, amazing staff!!!! We look forward to making this he a regular place to stop now vs our previous location in Jackson. We come through this area about 2-3x a year and we're excited to find a hotel with such pleasant staff and clean premises.

Ok, this one's a mixed bag, folks. I've stayed at this Homewood Suites over a half-dozen times, so…read moreit felt overdue to finally leave a review. To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

I stayed here for three nights at this Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel property in Jackson,…read moreMississippi. It was late April 2025 when I stayed here. It was nice little place to rest my head. This Hilton property is about walking distance from the event location that I wanted to be a part of, so it was definitely a great choice for me to stay here during my time in Jackson Mississippi. With that said, I found this Hilton property on hotels.com. I booked it once before my arrival here and definitely felt like I belonged here. It is a Hilton property, of course, so it had all the modern amenities and felt very comfortable here. This experience was very nice and felt like I was rested and definitely got my moneys worth. Although the cost of the hotel was between 125 and 199 per night, comfort and safety is very much important to me. I booked a room with the king bed, per usual, so I could be relaxed and have a good night sleep every night I was here. The hotel featured large enough space for their breakfast area and TVs to watch while having breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, they had a nice spread of breakfast items which included hot food as well as cold cereal, coffee, and tea. I enjoyed their hot food the most because that's what most hotels do for their guests. Typical breakfast food include bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, and either oatmeal or hashbrowns. Sometimes it's either a hot biscuit or waffles, depending on the hotel chain. It was nice to have that experience and nourishment for two mornings when I was there. There's always something about a hot meal this morning that feels great and for the day. This hotel does that and I'm grateful for it. The overall experience here at this Homewood suites by Hilton hotel property in Jackson. Mississippi was very nice and definitely would love to stay here again. I did enjoy the spacious lobby and the check-in process was very quick and painless. The staff here was very professional and friendly, which made it nice . I actually had a problem with my room key at one point during my stay, so they helped me out by rekeying my room key. All they asked was for some sort of identification. I think they had a swimming pool on site, but I never used it. They also had a gym room on site, but I never used it either. The room itself was on the third floor. The king bed was quite nice and comfortable and definitely got a good nights rest on three nights I was there. The room itself was very clean and was typical of any hotel room, as far as furnishings. It had a microwave and a mini fridge. The TV didn't work properly, but I don't care. I use my phone anyway so it's all good. The Wi-Fi was pretty strong so I used that during my stay here. Just complaining about anything other than the TV is moot though. For the most part, though, I stay here at this Hilton property, but possibly one of the most enjoyable because I was in walking distance to what I was supposed to be here to do and the comfort level was not surprisingly above average. Everything was good here and hope to be back sometime soon, if my future travels permit me to do so to come back to Jackson Mississippi. In the meantime, though, I will definitely highly recommend staying here if you are passing through Jackson or have business or pleasure in the city or vicinity. It was definitely a nice place to stay. It was like a home away from home for me, even though it was a short day. A weekend stay. This Homewood suites by Hilton Hotel haters to everybody and anybody who wishes to stay here. It's physically located at 2815 North State St. in the Fondren District in Jackson Mississippi. Like all hotels in the industry, they accept major credit cards. Majority of the bookings come from direct on their website or through third-party companies websites, like hotels.com like I did. As far as parking goes, they have enough parking to accommodate their guests at any given time, but check ahead to make sure because you don't want to be left without a spot for the night. Even then, you would try to find adequate street parking nearby to help you with that. If you like me, I love public transportation, so best bet is for you to see if there's public transportation routes from the airport to the hotel. During this particular trip though, I ended up using Uber because it was very convenient and doesn't waste time on Jackson's public transportation system. Whether you're saving money on travel or not, use your best judgment in budgeting was right for you. This hotel doesn't always have the best bells and whistles, but it gives you comfort and luxury at an affordable cost. Definitely try to stay here if your travels permit you used to do so. It was a pleasant and pleasurable experience. Hope you will do the same when you stay at this Hilton property in Jackson, Mississippi. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 3.0 stars for the prices but everything else was great! Support local! Bathroom very large also and well appointed. Exceptional lighting. 2. Kitchen access upstairs for ice, free soda, coffee, tea or water, homemade cookies bt elevator or stairs. Honor system for alcohol (we didnt try any). 3. Accommodating pleasant staff. 4. Old historic house and small but pretty grounds you can walk around. The magnolias are ancient and spectacular. Wish we could have seen them in bloom. 5. Can order nicely prepared meals to room or eat in library lounge - breakfast or dinner. Def an old southern feel to the place. Cons: 1. Parking was tight and hard to to manuever but they did have a cart available for rooms that are further away - partially broken. 2. In downtown area, kind of dingy and run down - but somewhat charming w many old craftsman homes around. 3. Could have used some hanging baskets and annuals for more color and charm - would help brighten the mood of the run down area of town - 4. And wish theyd answer the phones. We left messages almost everytime we called (they were good about calling back). This leaves one feeling disconnected from a warm hospitable experience.

Even if you don't own ANY camping gear, you could either buy it there on the spot or rent it! Everyone from the park is VERY friendly! Everyone from the park admin, to security, to Yogi himself!!! You all made our stay wonderful! They have everything set up for a great time with family! The lake is the main attraction to this area but there is SO MUCH MORE than that. You have your kiddy playgrounds, pool, miniature golf, boats to explore the lake, fishing, golf carts equipped with off road tires to explore the grounds, cabins, and THAT'S not even mentioning all the activities they have planned for all around the clock fun such as MOVIE times with snacks, KARAOKE, and so much more that we didn't even get to check out because ALL our time was taken up with park activities! And if your not in the mood for making food around the campfire, their a cafeteria and snack bar on the premises that you can refuel, cool down and enjoy some arcade fun at! :D Highly recommend this park for everyone! :D

It rained the day we got there, and there is nothing but sand clay dirt of a mess. Need to gravel them roads to avoid just a mess of mud on ground. Patio doors had no locks so not a good feeling to be safe with kids on a lake. NO INTERNET AT ALL. I am not sure why they even have tv's in cabins to think it would work. Your phone hotspot won't even work there. Food was cheap but out of everything. Didn't even have sugar. The Kids activities sucked. Art class consisted of giving one sea shell and some wal-mart paint. Dance party was non-existant. Waterslide is not huge. It is just plasic down a small hill. Everything you do is an extra cost. The water park is fine if you do day pass but the price of actually staying there is not worth it. The staff (which are very younger) are actually very nice and trained to say, I'm sorry, very well. so kuddo's on that piece of customer service! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Decent hotel stay, sort of ruined by the false advertising on Expedia. Not sure who's at fault,…read morebut it's BS. Jackson is a less than favorable community for my auto charging needs. There is only one set of old ass Superchargers at the janky outlet mall. Getting in and out of that mall is mind numbingly frustrating. The traffic coming from Ridgeland into Pearl (where the SC is located) is always backed up. It sucks so bad. Sometimes it's ten mins to go one mile. Why is this relevant? I chose this hotel so I could charge overnight and not have to use the SC in Pearl. I arrived to find them all out of order, possibly never fully installed. Despite that it was clearly advertised as having a charging station. So I check in, dangerously low on energy and go to plug my car in. No power at any of the stations I tried. I go and ask the front desk lady and she says, "yea they work, try another one". Stupidly I listen to her and then the real frustration sets in. I now realize I have to drive to Pearl and sit there and charge. See above. Not to mention the POS chargers limited me to 75kW max on that visit. Lovely. Room was fine after my anger subsided. I would have actually enjoyed my stay had I not felt duped. AC units were extremely loud though. Breakfast offerings are so bad. I don't know who eats this at a corporate level and says "Yep! That is the one!!! People will love this! Why can't we just have bacon and sausage that come from pigs rather emulsified and formed trash meat. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. They even had chicken freaking nuggets for breakfast. What the what? They texted me and asked how it was after I got there. I told them what I thought. No response from Ashley. Oh well. We will try something else next time. '25 - 41/111
