This store does have a wide range of products that other stores do not, I had tried many local stores to look for a game, which I was in a rush for, for a birthday and couldn't wait till Monday and was left in this rush after a damaged Tesco Direct order - the woman was absent from the counter and they was no bell and no one could radio through, it is good this stall is at the front of the store unlike Middleton, where it is at the back but still waiting 20 minutes for someone to serve me when I was front of the queue and they was other staff (they were not authorized to go on this till) : They should at least of been able to get a member of staff on the till or radio through. I didn't really look around the store but it is a very big store and is located just before Manchester Fort in a small retail park what has a Grainger Games and a Costa Coffee. This particular Tesco was actually the subject of Peter Kay's Car Share, a BBC programme where his character "worked" here and drove around the Manchester / Cheetham Hill area. This is probably one of the better Manchester stores of Tesco to go to as it does have a very big range with it being one of the biggest stores in the area, alongside Oldham Huddersfield Road and does deserve the "Superstore" title due to its size, unlike nearby Rochdale, due to my extremely long waits at the Tesco Direct desk and no one being able to assist me, or even radio through, I feel 3 stars is fair but I will be coming back very soon to do a shop and then do a new , more detailed review on their stock of items, especially gluten free.

After mooching round, and having no luck, I approached Keith, who was stacking shelves. he couldn't have been more helpful, he checked on his little "computer" . He found them on there, but apparently there weren't any in store, he checked a number of flavours, but to no avail, it then came up "No Location" which Keith explained they may be a new product that just hasn't arrived at Tesco yet,. Although I was unable to purchase my "Perkier Bars" I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Keith, he is a credit to your store, and shows what customer service is all about.

And that's what you get in Nisa. There is a smiling employee behind a counter to greet you no matter what time you walk in there. Okay, so if you're looking as dishevelled as I usually did on my way to Spinningfields when I worked there and can't bear the thought of human beings looking at you it can feel a little uncomfortable, but at the end of the day (or the beginning in my case) the sentiment is there and it made me feel warm and fuzzy. Which is always a nice feeling, unless it's accompanied with churning nausea. This particular brand of newsagent is one I've found myself using a lot when trundling around Spinningfields. It's a much needed addition to the district. For Leftbank dwellers it's a place to quickly pop out to in your sweats and Uggs (Bear Paws for me, but then again I don't live in Leftbank) and get that last minute pint of milk, packet of cigarettes, bottle of wine, magazine and suchlike. It is rather large though, around the same size as the Tesco Metro on Quay Street, but generally I wouldn't come here for the major stuff I'd grab in Tesco, simply because in newsagents such as this they do tend to bump the prices up a little. And because of my obsessive compulsive I-like-things-to-be-under-a-quid rule, not all things obviously but simple store cupboard standbys, well, it doesn't really suit me. Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly extortionately expensive. I'm just weird like that. As I briefly mentioned, location wise it is great. This particular area is lacking in shops for essentials, so it's great to see a simple little mini market alongside a dry cleaner. I may no longer work in Spinningfields but I certainly walk around there a lot, and this is certainly still useful. It's even got a stand where you can grab freshly made hot wraps for all your demanding appetite needs. Plus I recently discovered it's pronounced "Nicer". Who'd o'thunkit? Nisa, I salute you, and your ability to drill a friendly facial expression into every employee at the shop. Now if you could just teach me the secret to eternal happiness that you've seemingly taught them... wait a minute, is that a self-help book I see under the cashier's desk?

A beer as well is like a must after such a terrible day, and usually nowhere is open at that time in the night. Lucky me, one day I took the tram from town to Salford Quays and I've discovered a lovely little shop, Nisa. Definitely not good for lots of shopping, because I'm afraid it is quite expensive. Local shop basically. But, for few little items at 11 in the night is awesome. The staff is really friendly. I usually chat to one the guys that never believes me when I tell him my age, he asks me about my day at work and offers a nice smile which makes me believe that he might be the manager trying to keep the customers interested. If I want to go for a walk on the Quays, I stop there to buy a coke or something for the journey. I love that they have the best tropical juice ever. It is the only shop that sells that brand, which I believe that might be their own.

It is now a 24 hour store. In the Summer of 2008 it extended onto the University playing fields, with many protests from local people. It offers a Clothing Department, Garage, Tesco Direct, Pharmacy and an instore bakery. There are also lots of toys on offer. The car park is huge and there are plenty of Car Parking facilities for disabled people.

Adams was a pet shop, but sadly it did not sell fish food. In fact, it seemed to sell much more human food including a reasonable range of cheap fruit and veg. So, the next time I was wandering through Chorlton Place I decided to pop into this shop for some fruit and veg. Strangely enough a man came in and asked if they sold fish tanks. The shop assistant pulled one down off a shelf and said he'd give it to him for £10 off, as he had ordered it in for a customer who had never come back and collected it. Maybe it was a pet shop in disguise? The fruit and veg was tasty and much cheaper than in the supermarkets, but for some reason I've never really shopped here since. For fruit and veg I tend to go to freshsave (also in the precinct) or Khawarja Brothers on the Manchester Road. Oh, and I got the fish food from Quality Save, but fishy was a snob and wouldn't touch it, so I had to find a proper pet shop.
