This Saturday, I stopped by again since it was the kickoff point for the Miami Lakes Reindeer Run 5K. Humble Brag: while not placing, I completed it on an about a 9 minute mile. It's an improvement from when I started exercising. The park has a couple of picnic shelters, a basketball court as well as body weight strength training stations. The park bathroom building was also clean. Parking is available on both sides of the street adjacent the park. For today's event, there were a couple of vendor booths, including food vendors, a podiatrist and a different gym than the one I go to. The run was through a mapped out course along Commerce Way.

My one complain is that they charge you $20 to park at a public park that is free to park.

Running the race took me through different parts of the park, and I was really impressed by the trails. They definitely caught my attention, and I'd love to come back just to explore them on a walk. Overall, the park seems well maintained and taken care of, which made the experience even better.

The park is safely nestled behind the Hialeah Gardens Police Department and for the most part is fenced in. Dont let the busy feels of 103rd st fool you, this park is nestled under the shade of the tall pine trees (which I am glad are still around). If you have an avid climber this park is for you! There are so many structures to climb but at the same time I feel like this park is better suited for older kids (Maybe older than 4). The play structures span more than 2 levels making it hard for the little ones to reach the top and when they are at the top it is really hard to maneuver the area to get into the slides. My 3 yr old found this structure quite intimidating when leaving the second level. If you do come to this park with a small child the good thing is there is a small path to walk, 2 swings for infants, several benches, and a nice picnic table under a gazebo. I wanted to give this park 5 stars but I find it quite dangerous as the structure are very high and I found spots where small hands and feet could get stuck while climbing a tunnel. I also recommend coming to the parl in earlier hours so that you can find a parking spot. Simply pull in as if you are going to the police station and loop around behind it.

As such, it has very little shaded areas aside from the covered shelters, playgrounds & amphitheater. I come here couple times a week for the boys soccer events and practice. The park features multiple large open fields, playgrounds, and baseball fields. There are also bathrooms conveniently located throughout. We visited for the Miramar Kite Festival, which was such a fun experience. The city did a fantastic job organizing the event. There were multiple food trucks, a DJ, and a variety of tent vendors, including the city, fire rescue, PDQ, and other local businesses. One of the highlights was that the city gave out free kites to all guests. The turnout was great, and the atmosphere was lively. One large field was dedicated to kite flying, while a baseball outfield was set up as a kids' zone with several bounce houses for different age groups. We brought a picnic setup and beach chairs and truly enjoyed spending the day here. Overall, it was a wonderful event, and this park is a great place to visit!

Parking can be a bit tough but if you luck out, you can park in the very busy parking lot. If not, you have to follow signage to park at a nearby school. When you park here, you have to walk through the school to get to the park. If you aren't too familiar with the area, it can be super confusing and may even deter you from going to the park. It would be super useful if they had signage from the school parking lot and throughout the school to help people find their way to the park. Overall, still a cute park to play sports at and bring your kids.

Soffer was given the primary responsibility to develop an upscale community around the Turnberry Country Club. Originally named Turnberry he renamed the project Aventura, the Spanish word for adventure. The exercise trail is 10 feet wide, paved, and ADA accessible. It is 3.1 miles long and goes around the Turnberry Isle Resort Golf Course along Country Club Drive. Along the path is landscaping, shade trees, lights, benches, and water fountains. This easy to traverse trail is a popular pace for the community to safely walk, run, jog, rollerblade and bike. It takes most people an hour or less to complete. Pets are allowed as long as leashed six feet or less. On one side of the trail is the road so it is not as scenic as the trails through natural areas that I prefer.
