NO FENCED-IN AREA. It is just a patch of grass. This is NOT a traditional dog park where the dogs can play and socialize.

It was about a 2 mile round trip between it, my office and the cow field. This Saturday, I stopped by again since it was the kickoff point for the Miami Lakes Reindeer Run 5K. Humble Brag: while not placing, I completed it on an about a 9 minute mile. It's an improvement from when I started exercising. The park has a couple of picnic shelters, a basketball court as well as body weight strength training stations. The park bathroom building was also clean. Parking is available on both sides of the street adjacent the park. For today's event, there were a couple of vendor booths, including food vendors, a podiatrist and a different gym than the one I go to. The run was through a mapped out course along Commerce Way.

Some Saturday they host Like a farmers market. On 4th of July they host free event with music and have food trucks to purchase food and drinks. The fire work show was spectacular this year.

Our family spent weeks organizing everything, invested a significant amount of money, and arrived early to spend over two hours decorating the reserved birthday area we had rented for the day. There was a brief moment of thunder, and we completely understand that guests cannot be in the water during lightning or thunder for safety reasons. However, the thunder stopped almost immediately, there was no rain at that time or for the rest of the day, yet the staff forced everyone to leave the park. We were also required to take down all of our birthday decorations, despite having paid to reserve the space. The staff was rude, provided little to no explanation, and told us we would not receive a refund. This policy was never disclosed to us when booking the birthday rental. About 1hr later, we were finally allowed back into the park, but by then we had to completely redecorate the party area and contact all of the families and children who had already left so they could return. It created unnecessary stress, confusion, and took away from what should have been a special day for an 8-year-old. This is a warning to anyone considering booking a birthday party or group event here. Be aware that if weather causes even a brief closure, you may be forced to leave, dismantle your entire event, and receive no refund or clear communication. We were very disappointed by how this situation was handled and expected much better customer service.

As such, it has very little shaded areas aside from the covered shelters, playgrounds & amphitheater. I come here couple times a week for the boys soccer events and practice. The lawns are usually well kept and even. It's great for many types of workouts, walks, etc. It's a great spot to catch a sunset on a clear day as well. The bathroom facilities were ok, sparsely located for this sized park.

The park features multiple large open fields, playgrounds, and baseball fields. There are also bathrooms conveniently located throughout. We visited for the Miramar Kite Festival, which was such a fun experience. The city did a fantastic job organizing the event. There were multiple food trucks, a DJ, and a variety of tent vendors, including the city, fire rescue, PDQ, and other local businesses. One of the highlights was that the city gave out free kites to all guests. The turnout was great, and the atmosphere was lively. One large field was dedicated to kite flying, while a baseball outfield was set up as a kids' zone with several bounce houses for different age groups. We brought a picnic setup and beach chairs and truly enjoyed spending the day here. Overall, it was a wonderful event, and this park is a great place to visit!
