Fabulous handmade bathroom gooeys, face masks, facial scrubs, bath additives, bath bombs, scrubs,…read morescents, etc. Just walking past is an aromatic delight. All products are green and non animal tested, and sourced locally. A little pricey, but everything lasts, and makes you feel great - a real treat for mind and body!! Staff are helpful and friendly, and there's often an offer available. They don't have a men's section as such, but somes aromas wouldn't suit men's pallattes, or maybe would!

Being lucky enough to visit the original Lush store is a true privilege for any Lush fan - this is…read morewhere it all began! Poole isn't usually my go-to shopping destination, but I'll often go out of my way to make a trip here. The store is tiny and gets cramped with more than a few visitors, yet is stuffed to the brim with any Lush items you could want, from bubble bars and shower gels to shampoos and henna hair dyes, even at Christmas when there are even more goodies to choose from. This is the only store in the world that features the exclusive (and beautiful) 29 High Street perfume, the perfume that smells exactly like a Lush store in a bottle, as well as some special edition tote bags you won't find anywhere else. They also feature a more extensive collection of perfumes (both solids and liquids) than your regular Lush store. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, a joy to talk to and always surprise me with great new product recommendations and samples. I feel like sometimes there are too many staff members in the shop but it can get busy very quickly. There is also a Lush Spa location next door, one of only a few in the country - I haven't yet been lucky enough to try this out myself but I've heard it's a must-visit if you happen to be in the area! Even though Poole isn't the most stand-out shopping destination this is absolutely worth a trip.

My local Space NK store - I visit fairly regularly to stock up on some of my favourite products…read more This store sells most of the brands you'd expect to see, including Sunday Riley, Tom Ford, Oskia, Diptyque, Living Proof, Oribe and lots more (although they only carry a few select Hourglass products). For anyone unfamiliar with Space NK, it's the closest thing to Sephora we have in the UK and sells a good selection of popular high end makeup, skincare, body and hair products, most individual items costing upwards of £20. Definitely not somewhere to be tempted by if you're on a tight budget! Most of the staff at this store are quite friendly and helpful, although it is often busy and all staff members are usually otherwise occupied. One particular member of staff with short dark hair (I don't know her name) is the only one I have an issue with, as she is never helpful, often loudly gossiping to other staff and always walks away from me when I obviously try to approach her for help! However I haven't seen her in a while so not sure if she still works there. I enjoy browsing some of my favourite blogger-recommended beauty products in person and asking advice when I can grab an assistant when they're not busy, although I wish they gave out samples. I'm reluctant to spend money on many of these non-refundable high end products when I don't even know if they'll work for me. Specific products I make a trip to this store to buy aren't always in stock, so call ahead to avoid disappointment. On my last visit I waited in a queue for 15 minutes just to be told the Nars primer I wanted was out of stock - a bit annoying as I'd been waiting around for so long! If you're making regular purchases, I'd recommend signing up for the free points-based loyalty card, as a £50 spend within 3 months will get you £5 off your next purchase. Overall this can be a fun store to browse, but I prefer to make my purchases online as the product selection is better and I don't have to wait around for someone to eventually serve me!

I visited SpaceNk in Bournemouth when it first opened recently and would definitely recommend…read morecoming here over Debenhams/Beales for beauty advice/products. The sales assistants all are really nice, helpful and NOT snooty like they can be in some expensive beauty places. SpaceNk carry a wide range of top brands Eve Lom, Ren (amazing!), nars, Jurlique, Laura Mercia, Model Co, Caudalie, Aromatherapy Associates and much more, I bought some gorgeous candles from here too (sorry can't remember the brand). The layout and design of the shop is gorgeous and generally it makes a nice shopping experience so if you want to be pampered or buy someone a special gift, visit here :)

Bristol isn't short on department stores, but top of my favourites list is House of Fraser. Since…read moreit changed location it's undergone a swanky makeover making it as bright and shiny as Cabot Circus itself. It may be that I don't cope well with change but I find the layout of the new store a little confusing, often meaning I walk past the same rail of clothes several times before finding a polite shop assistant to point me in the right direction. In-keeping with the ethos of Cabot Circus, this House of Fraser stocks high-end lines such as Vivienne Westwood and Lulu Guinness in amongst Miss Sixty and French Connection which can push it into a "looking not buying" category of department stores. I tend to come for the small but extensive Paperchase and Benefit stands, and a bit of a window shop in the ladies department. Not great for every day wear, but worth a look if you're looking for a "special occasion" outfit.

When it moved from the Horsefair to shiny new Cabot Circus, House of Fraser had a bit of a…read moremakeover. No longer the frumpy department store most people walked past to get to Debenhams, now this has an emphasis on the higher quality (and higher priced) brands. Over four floors, with cosmetics, accessories and Paperchase on the lower floor, mens on the middle, women's fashion on the third floor and home decor on the top floor, it is a sprawling space with indiscernible boundaries between the brand displays. It doesn't have a great flow for browsing round, but its not bad. I come here mainly for Mango and Ted Baker brands (although there is a Ted Baker shop in Cabot Circus their women's range is better here).
