The spa has so much potential, but the abundant faux greenery is faded and dingy and it is everywhere. The doors are filthy black around the handles so it makes you wonder what else isn't clean. With some attention to detail this could be a beautiful spa. They have "luxury" options and wonderful Aveda products, but the environment is severely neglected. The massage itself wasn't the best I've had but was okay. I won't go back to this location until they renovate. read more

Be aware of the pricing. The couples massages pose as a combined cost but it is not. It is per person. That was not clearly communicated to me at time of booking. Although owner states she indicated the cost, she did not. They will also tack on additional costs, such as curling your hair, etc. read more

Picked this spa for a girls day out. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and shown around. The spa is dated with its decor and in need of renovation. There was a sauna and steam room available for coed use - both were nice. The relaxation room had comfy leather chaise lounges and blankets - but was in an area that was a passage between front of spa and back rooms where treatments are done - making for foot traffic and noise that impacts your ability to relax. The three treatments we chose were a massage, facial and pedicure. The hot stone massage was excellent (coming from someone who has been to many spas and had many massages!). The lavender facial was also excellent. The pedicure was a miss but I appreciated the way they handled our feedback. This has the potential to be a much better spa - they have good people working there. Hopefully they read this feedback and make some investments in renovation. read more

Great services but the business needs a lot of work. Appts booked at wrong location , other appts at wrong time, always running late, problem with methods of payment. A total disorganized mess! Such a shame because the massage therapists are top notch. read more

The first time I came here I was treated like royalty by the staff this time I sort of was greeted lukewarm taken to wait for my massage by an attendant who was not helpful. She didn't want me to shower before (even tho I waited like 15 min after I took a quickie) and I was given a tattered stained bath robe and my locker didn't work. David at the desk was however super friendly and accommodating allowing me to use my tatty robe to go upstairs (promising to return it). And Aileen was sweet in the hair salon while Kelly gave me a great service and excellent massage. So it's uneven in its overall quality. It is a bit outdated but maintains a spa clean quality. I love the dark room to relax in between services. Fully stocked Aveda products in lockers and all amenities of a first class spa. Accessible pricing that includes a 20% tip so you need not grapple with change. Overall a great option while your partner indulges his or her gambling habit you can detox and renew here for sure read more

This was our second year visiting the spa. We will not be back. The year before we tried the "around the world" packages and liked the services, but found them too short in length. This year we booked several full services each. The year before we were promised the "mud bath" but when arrived the mud was not available due to "shipping issues". This year we asked if we could get the mud bath "complimentary" as we didn't get it last year and were told that "the mud is too much trouble to clean up when they are so overbooked for a Saturday." That was the first warning that our experience might not be the "high end" spa day we were expecting. Let me start by saying... The practitioners are wonderful. But management completely overbooked the day. We booked our services 3 months in advance for a Saturday (reserving services that cost over $1500 for the 4 of us). When we arrived we were told that all the lockers in the women's room were either used or broken, so they said we could use the men's locker room - that no men were booked that day. We said ok, but as soon as we came out from changing, a man was waiting to go in to change. We saw/ran into at least 4 other male guests throughout the day using the men's locker room. This made for uncomfortable "knocking", "peaking around doors" changing, and felt like we couldn't shower, hair dryer, services in the locker room for fear that a guy was standing outside the door waiting to use the bathroom. (several of the locks on the mens locker's were broken too) Two of us had to "double up" for our massages and have them at the same time in their "couples" room. They asked if it was "ok" prior but, didn't have another option in the event we said no. When we asked for a discount because of this, they said they would see what they could do, but in the end were "unable to adjust the price". I'm pretty sure we were the first ones that scheduled services on that day, it was unprofessional that we were "bumped" together so they could take other reservations for the private rooms. We ordered lunch in the spa from Ruth's Chris. Food was ok, cold fries, cold au jus, and they charged us $20 extra for a wedge salad, that later that night we found on the Ruth's Chris dinner menu for $10. The menu we ordered from had no prices on it, and we were not informed of the charge ahead of time. We knew we would pay "extra for the salad" but we never would have ordered two wedge salads for a total of $40 in addition to the $80 we spent for the lunch. It wasn't like they had to take another trip from the restaurant (down the hallway from the spa) so there was absolutely no need for an additional $10 fee per salad over what the restaurant charges. The room you eat in is tiny, surrounded by the spa treatment rooms, so you feel like you can't chat as you'll interrupt/disturb someone else services. There was never room in the lounge area to sit between services. Again, due to overbooking, we were shuffled into the sauna just to find a place to sit. (only 5 chairs in the lounge area). We were a group of 4, and at one time there were 9 other guests in the lounge area waiting for services. We sat in the sauna and the 5 were on the lounge chairs, and 4 others had to stand around. All in a room roughly 12' x 12'. Couldn't use the steam room as it sits 4 (tightly) and was always occupied between services. I counted at least 20 other guests in the spa area (not including the 4 chair hair salon or 4 station mani/pedi room.) These were people getting services in the same 4 hour time period we were getting ours - and they have no more than 6 treatment spaces and the 5 seat lounge. WAY too many people in a small area that is supposed to be peaceful and zen-like. They didn't have sandals to fit- only very large ones (size 10 +) were left in the grab box, and we were given what seemed to be the leftover wraps. (broken snaps, too small one had holes in it). We arrived 1 hour after they opened. The spa is VERY small with limited space. We knew about the size of the spa going into our "annual spa weekend" and booked literally 3 months in advance to be sure we would get our spots. It was a disappointing experience. The staff were hustling all day. They were good clinicians (excellent massage, scrubs & facials) The manicures & pedicures are "meh" for the $70 they charge for each. We were willing to give it another shot this year, but will try another spa next year. The management seems to not care about "returning" business. I guess they figure that in a casino, they'll get enough "one timers" to cover the bottom line. read more

This spa was offering a discount special of %50off any service with a $10 donation to a cancer cause. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves doe to this special. We have were to this location some time back, although usually going to the one in Pittston for which the price is half the cost and the service is twice as good. When I initially phoned this location to take advantage of the special I asked the price of the couples massage and it was $220. They also told me the special was valid at the Pittston location, but when I phone there, I was informed the casino location was mis-informed and that the special was only valid at the casino location. So, we went ahead and booked it COMPLETELY RELYING on the special price. We arrived 15 minutes early, got into our robes and filled out the paperwork before being led into the couples room. (which by the way, in someone else's view they described it as "gaudy", and I could understand why). On the form, they ask for any areas you would like more focus on as well as areas to avoid. I requested more attention be given to shoulders and lower calves. My partner and I compared notes later and agreed that our therapists were pretty much "non descript". Nothing negative but there wasn't anything special that would make you want to return to them. They did a "signature" massage which was relaxing but a lot of jerky and light motions rather than long, silky pressure. No special attention was given to the areas requested, in my opinion. The upsetting part of this is the when we went to pay the bill it rang up @ $179!! Now, when I had the math calculated in my head, it would have been 50% off of $220 or $110. Add to that the $10 donation. When I questioned the price, I was told they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the original price!!! This amounted to $44!!! I told the girl that this was not legal, because a gratuity is just that. As a paralegal, I have seen this argument before and it never holds, but the businesses rely on the patrons kind of putting their tail between their legs and not causing a scene. In this case, we did something like that. I questioned it in detail, but the girl would not budge. At first, she was NOT handing me a receipt but, then did so. However, it is next to impossible to figure out how they charged . When checking the next day with the credit card company, they somehow reduced the charge to $159. I think this is because they charged two $10 "donations", which we paid cash, but they also added into the fee. Bottom line is, no one should be made to pay a "gratuity" determined by someone else.Honestly, these two therapists WERE NOT worthy of receiving a $22 tip on top of their salary. Hell, I don't make that much!! We will NOT be returning to this location, but will stick with Alexanders. read more

I've been to this spa about 3 or 4 times so far and I love my services from James the MT. There recently was a mix up because one of the receptionist didn't put me down for a Request with James so I ended up getting moved over with another technician which I was not happy about because I've been trying to find the time with James. So once I got a confirmation call and found out I had someone else I explained why I wasn't happy. The manager apologized for the mix up, gave me a call back and I got in with James (he stayed longer for his shift for me) and I also received a curiosity gift card for the inconvenience because my time was push an hour later. So I appreciated the extra mile they both put in to make my experience as it should be "relaxing". One thing I will say is I do believe the front desk does need to be on the job more. Twice I've called to set a massage up and girls have told me they would call me back and no one ever did so I would have to call again. Other then that, I really like the spa it's definitely relaxing ! Thanks read more
