Over the last few months I've continued seeing Svetlana exclusively for my waxing needs and we've discussed inconsistencies with my leg and Brazilian waxing. There have also been a few issues with sugaring my bikini area. On one occasion the sugaring was so rough and painful the skin was ripped off my bikini area (I decided no more sugaring after that ordeal) and my legs have had leftover hairs time and time again. Svetlana informed me that it's common when you start waxing again and once you've done it for roughly a year it will stop happening. It's been almost a year where I've exclusively waxed with her but there hasn't been a change. When I get home I'm still tweezing missed hair. I decided to ask her about it and she informed me that she doesn't have much experience with waxing my hair type. I was under the impression she did based on her many accolades. She was kind enough to recommend Natalia on JFK Street at another Skin Spa. If you have very fine/straight hair you won't have any problems when going here. But if your hair is curly or thick you may want to reconsider. Lastly, there have also been occasions where I've been accidentally overcharged for services. The first time I called her after noticing my bank statement and the second time I had to email her. The overcharged amount wasn't refunded but was applied to my next service. My quest continues...

TL;DR: I spent over $17,500 at Finesse for liposuction that completely failed--and was left with…read moresevere scarring and zero results. I had an unsuccessful liposuction procedure with Dr. Shektman at Finesse. During my initial consultation, their salesperson, Kim, assured me that the procedure would dramatically improve my postpartum body. Based on these claims, I spent more than $17,500--with no positive outcome whatsoever. After the surgery clearly failed (which Kim, Joanna, and Dr. Shektman all acknowledged), they offered me a Morpheus8 treatment, claiming it could correct the skin folding caused by the liposuction. They said they'd "only" charge me an additional $500. I agreed, hoping to improve some of the damage done by lipo. That treatment was performed by their esthetician, Rachel--and it made things significantly worse. Six months later, my abdomen is still covered in severe scarring (see pics). When I sought help, they insisted I come in for a five-minute evaluation by their nurse, Joanna, and esthetician, Rachel--neither of whom has the medical expertise to handle the kind of deep tissue scarring I experienced. Dr. Shektman's only recommendation was hydrocortisone, which is wildly inappropriate for subdermal scarring caused by a failed RF microneedling procedure. The bottom line is: I'm not wasting more time listening to cosmetic "professionals" who are clearly out of their depth and caused the damage in the first place. I've waited nearly a year to write this review, hoping that someone at Finesse--Dr. Shektman, Kim, anyone--would take responsibility and at least offer a partial refund. That never happened. I was misled about what results I could expect, and I now have permanent scarring and an even greater financial and emotional burden. I've since seen two board-certified dermatologists and spent even more money trying to fix the damage done by Dr. Shektman and Rachel. I feel betrayed, taken advantage of, and deeply disappointed. Please--do not trust this place. They'll say whatever they need to say to close the sale, but once you've paid and signed away your rights, you're on your own. The results don't matter to them. Your health and satisfaction don't matter to them. Ironically, I've had substantially better results using Semaglutide (Ozempic), which cost $400--not $17,500--and helped me lose 30 pounds in 5 months. No scarring. No lies. No emotional trauma. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.
