Small tree for $119. Pot is not plantable

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I wish a negative star option was available. I still have not received my lychee tree that was ordered months ago. All requests for a refund have been ignored. No response from them at all in a request for the tree I was supposed to receive either. What a rip off! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Fig tree from sow exotic. Ridiculous isn't it?

Horrible. Plant is 2 inches tall. Here's a picture. Could have gone to a big box store and got the same tree for the same price at 6 feet tall. Sons got me this sow exotic gift card. When they saw this "tree", they were appalled. Should be a zero star review.

Cool packaging so the plants aren't rolling around

Great experience! I'm always a little nervous about buying plants online but I'm pleasantly surprised with my order! They used two day shipping so the plants made it across the country super quickly, and they arrived looking healthy (goji is dormant so that's why it looks like a stick lol.) The packaging is smart, they stapled them to the box so they won't roll around and smash themselves. The plant sizes are as described on the website. I'm so happy to get ahold of some of these weirder plants for my yard. :)

Dead stumps

I wish I could give them zero stars, however, yelp doesn't have that option. As of today EVERY tree but one purchased from Sow Exotic is dead and all arrived sickly. I messaged them right away because I could tell they were sick and their response was to give time and it was fall. Please avoid them if you don't wish to lose your hard earned money. Horrible HORRIBLE PLACE that gaslights you into keeping their bad trees. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Good packaging.

I was happy to see the plant came with flowers on it. Although for an "extra large pot" I was expecting something a bit bigger. Especially since the Star Fruit tree was $85.00. I ended up finding another start fruit tree like 4x the size for $65 the same week, I bought it even though this one was coming. I'm so glad I did because it was such a better deal when it comes to size. Other than size everything else seemed great.

Sapodilla with burlap cloth. Healthy and still moist after shipping.

Update: Jan 8, 2019- company did call me, refunded all costs and also shipped me the plants with an apology for the problems. Brittany explained that there was some internal problem where it showed my plants had previously shipped, when they had not. I think Sow Exotic is aware of the problem and will get things resolved. The plants that shipped were healthy, strong and packed with the utmost care ---as they always have done. In fact one box was crushed by the post office and the post office put a sticker on it alerting me that they had crushed it, and the plant was still in great shape! I still have a tree that is huge from an order in 2015-16. It is fruiting daily and everyone loves it. This has been my go to shop for Tropicals...especially food plants. Past resolved concern: I have been with this company since 2015-16--they were with EtsyPast orders have been filled quickly. I placed an order in July 2019, they partially filled it. I've been waiting for 2 plants (Sapodilla & Yellow Dragon), my emails & phone calls are usually ignored. Occasionally I get a response that it's mailing out next week. I called and emailed the first week of Oct, they told me, 'next week'. In November, after several emails & a phone call, (because I understand things happen that are unexpected). They replied that an office worker had cut through their cable line, so the order would ship out next week. Still nothing. Something is going on with this company...please save your money and don't place any orders. This has been about 6 months of me patiently calling and emailing. There are a surprising number of tropical plant nurseries, if you just look. Logees has been used for decades in my plant club (gesnariads). They have potted tropical plants that can be brought indoors. TopTropicals is a Florida based nursery with everything, including great communication. You can also get great information through California Rare Fruit Growers...look them up on the Internet. This is really unfortunate.

love their packaging - way better than nursery who use a ton of plastic- it's all compostable or biodigradable.
