I have been going to SoVita ( former Capitol) for years. Dr Schmitt is excellent. My wife and children have also had routine adjustments. Very qualified chiropractors and the staff is extremely pleasant. Only bummer is the parking. You may have to park half a block but it's worth it. read more

Wow, just went in today and this place is doing some shady stuff. They did a scales balance test for me. Where you put each foot on a separate scale to see where you carry your weight, namely to see if you favor one side. To my surprise, despite no major physical issues, I favored my right foot by 60 pounds more than my left. When the doctor left the room, I tried the scales again. Well guess what, they are rigged. I weigh about 175-180 lbs, and I when stood on just the left scale it said I weighed 135 pounds and on just the right scale, it said I weighed about 190 pounds! The scales were rigged to make me think I carried my weight wrong! Wow, if you need to trick people into thinking they need medical care when they really don't, that is just shady. No way I am going back to this place and gonna be telling a lot of people that they are doing this stuff. read more

Having prior experience with chiropractic care, I was very disappointed when they refused to align me on the day of my first visit. They claimed they couldn't until they could organize my Review of Findings for my next appointment which wasn't for another 2 days. Totally bogus, unnecessary and unheard of for a trained professional. Further more, they have a lot of dangerously false propaganda advertised in their waiting room. Today a few staff members from the Capitol Chiropractic Center, including a massage therapist, came to the office to treat all of the Rego staff to free massages. I enjoyed their services and learned more about the body in regards to the spine. At the end of the massage and consultation we all received an opportunity to come to their office for free x-rays. I recently transferred to Connecticut and found SoVita Chiropractic Center and it has truly helped me maintain my health and well-being, especially during the pandemic. After a terrible fall, Dr. Jerry Schmitt's adjustments helped me to get back to my normal routine in a very short time. In January, I contracted Covid-19 and I believe that my consistent chiropractic care was instrumental in bolstering my immune system to fight the side effects of the virus. Recently, I had endured a subluxation that caused debilitating pain and numbness and when Dr. Schmitt saw that I was truly suffering, his normal easy going, friendly, chatty disposition changed to being very concerned, focused, and immediately addressed the issues. In 24 hours, I was 85% improved and by the second visit, I was able to walk out of the office without pain. I am truly grateful for the care I have received in this office. The staff is always helpful, friendly and more than accommodating. I even received a Happy Birthday text from the office. I have also been treated by Dr. Brown and she is wonderful as well. read more

In my opinion This is a factory, run like a cult. Seriously, they use all the methods of a cult to get you hooked on their service, Customers MUST attend an evening indoctrination session featuring a lecture about every highlight of junk science mixed in with constant recommendation for "adjustments". Heck, at one point he claimed he can change the molecular structure of water by saying mean things to a glass of water. I mean way out there looney stuff, including anti vaccination nonsense. He sites lots of studies but most are either not peer reviewed or taken so far out of context as to be worthless. Keep in mind chiropractors are not real doctors, the pseudo science was invented by a magnetic healer in 1895. Each office visit includes a written test to make certain you are grasping their "science". Oh, and they bill far ahead of the national and even state average. I went through sessions to give it an honest try. Its all placebo effect nonsense. I can't believe people fall for it. Here is my experience, First I was given a full body X-ray. But NOONE ever ask if I had had any other X-rays recently. So over exposure to radiation is not a concern of theirs. They never asked the question. Then the X-rays are NOT reviewed with you by a chiropractor but rather an office sales person. All the staff are pretty blond woman but hardly qualified to be looking and commenting on X-rays. Of course they find all kinds of things wrong, all related to your spine being out of alinement. Then they recommend a treatment plan. But it not treatment with a beginning, middle and end. Its just on going treatment because, apparently, 50000 years of evolution have made humans able to deal with everything but our spines. For that the only solution are adjustments. Its all such junk science it amazing. They are huge into this thing called Subluxation. Even many chiropractor says it a load of nonsense. But for these guys its gospel truth and the cause of ALL disease. Really scary stuff when it comes to their anti vaccinations stance. I had read enough to know high velocity neck adjustment had led to strokes. When I mentioned this to them they said all those cases had "preexisting conditions" Apparently being alive is a pre existing condition because they could not to explain what those conditions were. I ask that they never do such adjustments on me. Guess what, they kept trying to do them, often so quickly I did not have time to say stop. Watch your bill. They add this thing called trigger point therapy for $50. Asked to explain it I got a very vague answer but basically it amounted to touching me, nothing more. I researched it a bit more and its from the equally quack science of myofascial treatments. But it seems every chiropractor defines it differently and applies it differently. Basically it a way pad the bill Well, If you want a big doss of placebo effect then by all means waste your money. Otherwise loose weight, see a good physical therapist and stick with real science and real doctors. read more

I have had the same experience as Frank P and Elizabeth M. I signed up for all these adjustments, and I ended up terminating before hand. Wasnt easy though-- they literally kept stalking me by phone to come in. I started having night mares about the secretary calling- and I dont mean metaphorically. Literally, I'd have bad dreams about these guys chasing me down to complete my adjustments, because they kept calling so much through the day. My issues with this place were as follows: 1. The pamphlets all had to do with God,etc...which is fine if that is what youbelieve, but it makes non christians uncomfortable 2. The claims made by those articles (which seemed more like indoctrination material) were just plain bad science (i.e. making generalizations about something that has been tried with only 4 people). 3. I hated the amount of time it took to watch those videos. Total waste of time. It wasnt necessary. On the plus side: 1. The staff were professional (before the hounding started). 2. The doctors are good. But the hassle it takes to break free of their hold is not worth the pros in this case. read more

To be quite honest, I was fairly happy with the chiropractic care I received here, its the way they run their business that I have the problem with. I went in for a sore neck and they tried to convince me that I needed months of chiropractic adjustments to align my spine. I spent my first appointment signing up for my next 30 adjustments and watching a video about how important chiropractic care is . Each time I went in for an adjustment I was given a piece literature to read in an attempt to indoctrinate me in to their chiropractic cult. The leaflets all seemed to mention something about "God" , I found this quite presumptuous, do you have to have to believe in god to receive chiropractic care? Several times they tried to get me to suggest names of friends and family members who may need chiropractic care so they could solicit them. Each visit I became more and more uncomfortable with this place as they seemed more interested in getting me in for appointments (and taking my cash) than they were concerned with my actual health and well being. As soon as my neck was well enough to stop going I called and canceled the remainder of my appointments, I didn't receive a very friendly response on the phone and they practicality hung up on me. On a regular basis I get someone walking in to office building asking me to fill out a survey for them - another attempt to get names of people to solicit. The last guy who came here told me he was applying for a marketing job with them and the person who brought back the most completed surveys would get hired. Dr. Boghosian was great, he was very welcoming and learned about my medical history before moving forward with my adjustment. worst experience , I never worked at a place that treated me so badly . I never thought I would ever write a negative review about a place but it is so necessary . I do not reccommend working here . I never felt so discriminated in my life . As far as disgusting this place is , ladies please be careful with the gowns they do not wash them !!! If you are trying to grow in an office and be treated fairly do not apply here . I had issues with my checks and the manager did not care . I had to constantly email my boss about my problems and never got a reply . The boss did not care until I brought up calling the labor department . Shouldn't have to be that way .
