The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and offer informative advice. Recently, this post office has branched out and it is now also a delicatessen, offering a range of food items, mainly in the health food type line, and a range of mouthwatering quiches, cheeses and cakes - which I believe are locally produced and are absolutely gorgeous. With some off street parking just in front it is very convenient.

As a bonus I have to say their level of customer service is excellent. It's a very rare commodity these days but it survives in Stanley Post Office. I had not been here long when, as I walked up to the counter, I was recognised and welcomed in a way that made me instantly feel like I had lived here all my life. This post office is an absolute godsend to the people of south hetton and long may it continue. I moved away from east sussex where sadly every single local post office closed which to most peoples horror only left the main one in the centre of town, which was very inconveient and always full to bursting and often had queus out the door and up the road!
