I would not recommend this store to anyone. The staff only wanted to gossip about whatever. They couldn't change a 50.00 bill. The fake nails in the cashier were non functional. I stopped in here to kill some time before a Yelp event in the area. I'm glad I did. I spent a half hour browsing. This store has hundreds of unique items that reflect the old southwest. From wine bottle holders that resemble rattle snakes to their tribute to old route 66. Many of these unique treasures are hand crafted. I was particularly impressed by the Native American and cowboy doll display. The crafter paid close attention to detail. They have all the usual stuff you would see at most souvenir shops such as cards, tee shirts, jewelry, etc... I had a poor experience at this store. One of the employees, Mackenzie I think her name is had such a rude attitude when I asked her a question she looks annoyed. It was just a simple question about something in the store and the store manager didnt seem so involved she was just sitting and not caring how her employees treat their customers. They have everything from the pedestrain to the unique, from the super cheap to the spendy, all in one spot. If nothing else, you'll have a wonderful time looking at all of it! This second-generation locally-owned shop has high-quality merch, staff, and customer service! I found the perfect gifts for my (very hard to buy for) brother who came to visit with his family. This is not a 'souvenir shop' by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it an unreachable gallery. I was able to find fun, unique, great quality items here, and Joy was super helpful with suggestions and ideas. Before I went in I used the website to target items to shorten exposure due to Covid 19. I found that the website had very accurate descriptions of products and was easy to navigate. In my land of residence, Southwestern Reflections would be called "Made in Washington" and similarly contain more items emblazoned with local namesakes than anyone would ever want. While it is among the requirements to properly furnish an airport in a major tourist destination, it instead stands proudly in a shopping village. One might think there would be not much more to say. It certainly boasts the usual kitschy decorations, overpriced Scottsdale T-shirts, overpriced Southwestern T-shirts, slightly punchy novelty cards, and the entire line of Danger Men Cooking merchandise. (I appreciate the idea, but did this brand need its own hot sauce? Really?) However, one piece of merchandise caught my eye and has led me to consider that there may actually be more depth here. Rotating racks contained standard mild attempts at cleverness and retro pop culture clearly made for the masses like Betty Boop and Western-themed license plate-sized decorations. One item stood apart: A plate featuring a stereotypical older Native American with long hair and a rifle, proclaiming "Homeland Security Since 1492." I am still confused as to the intention of this plate in McCain's good ole' Republican Arizona, since to me this is a pretty clear "anti-American" statement of the rightful owners of this country. Is this intended to be ironic? An inside joke / "quality control" issue of a "maverick" employee at the manufacturer? Why is it here? Why has this not offended the standard tourist sensibility? I'd like to give Southwestern Reflections the benefit of the doubt that they intentionally stocked this plate as a minor act of subversion, but that's probably wishful thinking. However, it livened up what could have been a completely drab visit, so I will give them some comedy credit. Otherwise, this store is exactly what you'd expect - if you're actually looking for this kind of thing, you've probably already been to six different gift shops resembling it at the tourist traps in your path, and otherwise, you have no reason to set foot in here besides possibly to marvel as I did. read more

Came here while on a road trip cross country for a small souvenir to bring home. This place has all the tourist traps like keychains and tshirts. I did find cute cactus plants that I felt really reminded me of AZ though, so I call my trip here a success. read more

This shop in old town Scottsdale is truly a one stop shop. They carry gifts for every age and gender. They have a really great selection of kids merchandise, ranging from tee shirts to board books. Cute western wear for the little one's and stuffed animals too. They even have live cactus which they ship worldwide. The kids love to play in the rock display they have up front and they have an antique player piano in the back of the store. It is a fun place to stop and a great place to get a unique gift or a fun piece of costume jewelry. read more

Horrible customer service. My sister was in town and bought my daughter a $4 ring that broke by the time we got home. I stopped in there today, with the broken ring and receipt, which was only two weeks later and they would not exchange it. Come on...it prob cost them 25 cents. The manager even called the owner and they said "no way". I would never go in there again and I'm a local who takes out of towners to Old Town often. read more
