I am surprised by the negative reviews, and want to be certain that I share my own experiences with…read morethis office, and specifically with Eric Johansen, O.D. I initially saw him for dry eye problems, and appreciated the prompt service, minimal waiting time, and Dr Johansen's diagnostic ability, as well as his 'listening carefully' to me, as I expressed my concerns. As the dry eye problem worsened, I saw him an additional time; he ruled out retinal problems and any glaucoma/macular degeneration risk. To be honest, I find his care to be 'superior' to that of 2 'ophthalmologists' I have seen in our city. I find the office staff to be courteous and efficient, and will definitely choose this office--and Dr Johansen's care-- again (I have a refraction appt next week!)

I had been going to Cochise Eye and Laser, Dr. Thompson for many, many years. Each appointment I…read morementioned how I feel my eyes getting worse, I had double and blurry vision. My eyes measurements/numbers were always off but no medical assistant nor the dr. could explain what was going on. I often got the answer of "It is age related". My last appointment was scheduled with a female I've never seen before but thought another Doctor might see something different. She was the worst ever. Did not even take the time to exam my eyes. I was so frustrated. Found a different eye doctor who took one look at my eyes and send me to a specialist in Tucson. The specialist was in shock that no one ever consulted me about eye surgery. I have a growth on my right eye that should have been removed many years ago. I'm angry over the false treatment I received at Cochise Eye and Laser and the hundreds of dollars I had to spend on different lenses and frames that never worked. (he was never able to fit me for the correct lenses)

Loved the eye doctor and staff. I think it's the best eye exam I've ever experienced…read more The eyeglass purchase side... not so much. When did a pair of glasses become so expensive? My last prescription was filled at Costco and that's where my next one will be. Two pair of progressive glasses (one was sunglasses) with total out of pocket less than $200. Vista wanted $489 out of pocket for one pair. WTH? Plus my Costco frames were Jill Stewart and are still as good as new so I only bought replacement lenses for my main pair.

What makes this experience even more frustrating is the lack of communication. No one called us with an update or explained that there was a delay. We had to call them ourselves after waiting a month, only to find out the glasses still weren't ready. These aren't just ordinary glasses for my wife. She needs the prism lenses, and while we've been waiting she has been dealing with severe headaches. That's why getting these glasses was important to us in the first place. Delays can happen--I understand that. What I don't understand is promising roughly two weeks, letting more than a month pass, and not contacting the customer with an update. When someone's health and quality of life depend on getting the correct prescription glasses, communication and follow-through matter. Based on our experience, I am extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend this place! Horrible!

You better have a thick wallet because it's not just the prescription that could cost you. At check-in, one of the forms to sign (if you want it) refers to refraction. I know the definition and have never heard it used to refer to an eyeglass prescription. I was told there would be a cost of $50* to get a copy of my prescription, and it's not covered by insurance. * in addition to the office visit charge The other issue was regarding co-payment and, once again, the receptionist and the office manager insisted that I HAD to pay the co-pay. I have dual insurance coverage, which means the secondary insurance picks up the remaining balance not paid by the primary insurance. This has been the case for me for the past seven years. Both women insisted this was incorrect. I paid! Now, two weeks following this encounter, I was not surprised that the co-pay was refunded back to my account ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Who knew, hmm, guess I did! The receptionists needs to be replaced. She's terrible with people, and because of her, I will not be returning here. Thank you to Dr Rosen

My first meeting with them was very educational and they took a lot more time explaining my options with me than the other two doctors I had consulted with. They were very friendly and did not try to "sell" me on any kind of procedure. After choosing to go with them I scheduled my surgery and they did the rest! The process was very smooth and they assured me every step of the way. It has now been almost a year since I had the procedure completed and my vision is better than 20/20! I cannot believe I waited so long to get the Lasik Eye Surgery completed. Laser eye surgery was something that I had always wanted to do but was too nervous to let anybody mess with them. Dr. Robert Snyder was the best choice I could have ever made!!! Thank you Dr. Snyder and your entire team. If you are looking for a professional doctor to improve your eyesight, do not go anywhere else until you visit Dr. Snyder and his staff.
