Switching from skateboards to snowboards but this place was RAD. 10/10/16 Skateboard wise: Great gear selection. Few decks. Mostly trucks and wheels. I probably missed a good portion of the summer shop though. Sounded from the owner like they swap a ton of displays out entirely. Summer/Winter but still it was more impressive than most. Snowboard wise: Best store I've seen. Travel weekly for work and between moving to CO 2015 to now this is the most impressive store. Staff was friendly. They can do tune ups in house, some serious repairs too it seemed. Waxes. Detuning, all the basics. Googles, gloves, boots, bindings, jackets, pants, roller bags, board sleeves, stomp pads, and a wide selection of boards. All styles and sizes, more even than my recent trip to Christy Sports for a cheap 2016 four pack. And they are still swapping over and getting rid of last season things for new gear this season. Throw your money at this store! Next time I'm in town I'm buying a large gear bag. Looking forward to riding Purgatory and having all my boarding needs handled at the haus!

We showed up there last week with my son's brand new board which was very damaged (the tip was flayed open) and John (?) -- artiste extraordinaire -- did an amazing job for a reasonable price. We drive up from Chandler Az 3 times a year to ski at Purgatory (well my son went to the dark side and snowboards) and it occurred to us to bring the broken board with us (damaged at Flagstaff). The store doesn't have any glamorous displays but it was well organized with great brands like Toad & Co, Darn Tough, Prana, Camelback, etc. I enjoyed looking around while my husband picked out a new pair of Smith sunglasses. The store has gear for men, women and kids. The store is located in historic Durango so that means parking is mostly limited to street parking. We were in town on a busy Saturday so we ended up parking quite far away but it was worth it.

I'm not a happy long time customer! I ordered a rotary fly tying vise on 4/21/24 and I drove 2…read morehours to pick my online order and when I got there to pick my order, what they brought out was unacceptable. The vise did not come in its original sealed packaging. It was delivered from another SW store, which they wrapped in literally trash. The vise looked used and when you buy anything new it comes with paper work (manual, accessories, warranty, etc), but supposedly according to their website it was shipped from another SW store and was probably a used or turned in by another unhappy customer. I took pictures of the packaging and the store manager at the Farmington NM store didn't have an explanation or offer me any options. This is very concerning and disappointing. I was so upset that I wrote to the SW customer service as soon as I left the store, which was within 5 mins, that's how upset I was. It takes years to build a good customer relationship, but it only takes a few mins to lose a loyal customer. Update: 5/16/24 Today a member from the Sportsman's Warehouse management team reached out to me and I was glad I got an actual call back and they explained what had happened and clarified some questions. Happy to say that SW took ownership of their mistake. I'm glad that I'll continue to be a loyal customer.
