They weren't busy so I went right back for my urinalysis... then to a room. I was quickly assessed by the very kind and knowledgeable nurse. Then the nurse practitioner gave me my results... prescribed my medication, answered my questions and sent me on my way. Flu is rampant in our area so I was worried about catching it. I asked why they weren't busy. They said they have been seeing lots of patients but have been working hard. I believe it. The nice thing is they did not hurry while providing my actual care. I live nearby so I was literally treated and back home in 30 minutes.

Every single person in the office was incredibly professional, kind and patient. Dr. Rainwater explained that when you are ill, you will be seen. She doesn't like or trust her current cardiologist, so wanted to see Dr Fillecia, who has been cardiologist for me and my father before. The whole point was to get her a new cardiologist. They tried to get her to see a different cardiologist there, but she would have a hard time trusting another unknown cardiologist. I understand this, however, a steroid shot will give you a boost to give your body a chance to heal itself. I decided to go to UrgentCare of Louisiana one week after I became ill and 4 days of laringitus and just not feeling better. Dr. Anisha Turner is the BEST! She took tests and found I had Strep Throat. Not only did she give me a steroid shot, she prescribed me FIVE other meds that kicked in immediately and by that night I was 50% better and the next day I was 80% back to my healthy self. THANK YOU DR. TURNER! RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!!!! Great staff, treated with respect and clean facility!

I never had someone talk to me like that before. Guess she was having a bad day. I hope we never have to go back there. Also I hear the doctor is not much better rude also. I will not go there again. They need attitude adjustment except for the lady at front desk.

I was able to park right away. The building is a shared space, so I had to ask where my docs new office was. Found it and waited several minutes. The window was closed and there was no movement behind it. I finally knocked. I was kinda treated like I wasn't expected. Even though I got 3 confirmation texts and a physical phone call. Gail , the receptionist comes hustling in at 12:55. I got the impression she didn't like being put straight to work. Also the phone was ringing. It was from a patient trying to call a physician in another office. 1:05- weight and blood pressure. Turns out I'm fat. With great blood pressure. This nurse was very nice. Doc Mendoza was finished with me before 1:30. She wants me to quit drinking. THEY ALL WANT ME TO QUIT DRINKING. Anyway- her bedside manner is pleasant. She addressed what she needed to, without being rude or condescending. As I was leaving, Gail was much more pleasant.

My uncle recently tried going here and they refused to see him as a patient…read more First, they asked which insurance he had (you know, because their money is far more important than the patients health). He told them Medicare. If doctors actually cared the first question would be what kind of problem are you experiencing? But, no, it's "what insurance do you have"? Then they asked which doctor he wanted to see. He told them one of the men I forget which one. They then told him that, sorry, only one of our doctors is accepting Medicare. Oh, that's brilliant. Why doesn't it say that on the list of insurance that you accept? Next to Medicare it should say Dr. So and so only. The rest are more concerned about their money than actually helping you which is why they don't accept Medicare because that cuts into their paycheck. Well, Medicare is all he has. He's disabled and on disability. Like millions of other people who worked all their lives this is all he has now and this place won't give him the time of day. Then they asked which medication he's already taking. He told them. They placed him on hold and came back and told him that due to the fact that he's already taking controlled substances they can't accept him as a patient. What!?! These "controlled substances" he's already taking are prescriptions from another doctor and have nothing to do with this place. He was looking for a family doctor to help him with everything else, like when he's sick, not the medicine he is already getting elsewhere for other reasons. Any medicine prescribed by a doctor is a controlled substance. That's why you have to go to a doctor to get it. So if you're seeing a separate doctor for specialized reasons but still need a family doctor for basic reasons don't bother with these money-hungry jerks. This is absolutely outrageous. None of these charlatans should be allowed to call themselves doctors. All they care about is their money, not you. If you're poor, don't have good insurance or any insurance, disabled, on Medicare, already getting medicine from another doctor, etc, don't even bother calling this place. All they care about is their money. They don't care if you die.
