I have very fond memories of this place - you see some years ago I 'worked' here for a week for work experience. You know, that somewhat pointless third year expedition. At the time I do remember being pretty happy about finding this place and having grand day dreams about one day opening a similar business and swanning in and out while munching homemade salads and reading poetry. Or some such drivel.
Anyway, fast forward to the present day and this place is still surviving as an Art Gallery. It may have changed hands, and names, a few times but nonetheless, it is still open, trading and selling art. This, I think you'll agree is quite an achievement, especially due to the recession and the following economic trouble.
As mentioned in the other reviews, the art in here is nice, inviting and all round crowd pleasers. This takes the form of brightly painted landscapes (which I can't help but really like); famous prints (e.g. Marilyn Monroe); sketches (most noticeably the Glasgow ones with various statues and their traffic cone hats) as well as a selection of small metal figurines.
This nice and pretty inoffensive range of art is added to by the reasonable prices and very pleasant and chatty staff. Great stuff, no wonder it's been around - in one form or another - for so long. read more
