Thankfully Benjamin who is the owner of Discount Granite Fabricators LLC came in and saved the day! He and his crew were initially contracted to install the countertops in our kitchen, both bathrooms and garden tub surround. He ended up doing the installation in addition to correcting almost all of the errors from the previous contractor, which was completing the installation of the laminate floors, texture, paint, plumbing, electrical etc. They did the work in a timely manner and at a very reasonable rate. The communication was professional and consistent. We are eternally grateful that our new forever home has everything now completed properly. It is truly a place we can enjoy and be proud of. I highly recommend this contractor not only for countertops, but for so much more.

On September 29, the handle on my shower fell off. I went to Home Depot to purchase all the…read morenecessary hardware and parts, then began searching for a plumber to complete the repair. I contacted Gator Plumbing and was quoted $130-$160 for the job. I was also told the repair would take approximately 1-1.5 hours, so I scheduled an appointment. On October 5, Gator Plumbing arrived and began work at 9:00 a.m., completing the job at 10:25 a.m. However, when they prepared the invoice, they attempted to charge me $310. I reminded them of the original quote of $130-$160 and asked them to contact their office to resolve the discrepancy. After speaking with their office, they returned with a revised charge of $260 for 1.25 hours of labor. Keep in mind that I had already purchased all the necessary hardware and parts myself. Despite this, I was charged $260 for approximately 1.25 hours of work, which equates to $208 per hour in the Rio Grande Valley. To make matters worse, the work was not completed properly. The shower spout was left approximately two inches away from the shower wall, and it now has a constant drip. Neither of these issues existed before Gator Plumbing performed the repair. As a result, I now have to hire another plumbing company to correct the problems caused by this service. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of transparency regarding the final cost, the significant discrepancy between the original quote and the amount charged, and the poor quality of the workmanship. I expected to receive the service I was quoted and a properly completed repair. Instead, I paid substantially more than expected and was left with additional problems that will cost me even more money to fix. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Gator Plumbing. I believe the company should take responsibility for the excessive charge and the substandard work performed.
