Our initial impression was more of a pleasant surprise. She and I both envisioned mass chaos, but everything was very well organized. The physical location of the surgery centers extremely convenient & easily accessible from I-95 and J. Turner Butler Boulevard . Check-in was a breeze for anyone who understands modern technology. If an elderly person were to be there alone, they may have issues with the check-in process because it is all computerized. There were many different people there for many different surgeries but the wait time was minimal for my mother's Doctor and her cataract surgery. I'm uncertain how they choose, which surgeries happen in which rooms but I would think that similar surgeries all happened in the same rooms in order to keep the flow of patients moving quickly. The staff was all very cordial and greeted each patient with a smile on their face. The ones I witnessed were all soft spoken and genuinely concerned for the health and welfare of the patients they were with. The lobby, waiting room and what I could see of the receptionist's area was very clean and organized, but I was unable to view any of the operating rooms as I waited in the waiting area for my mother's procedure to be finished. From what it seems, surgery centers, streamline the surgery process, and look to be the wave of the future. This particular Center turned out to be a blessing for my mother, as she is quite anxious with anything medically related. She was pleased with the swift service and very thorough nature of the staff at Southpoint surgery center!

They are the best place to have surgeries(in/out patient). Cons: I thought they would file for my insurance. No, they want money up front. I am having both eyes done. Cataract/Glaucoma surgery. I will be out-under anesthesia. Say a prayer for me in late August, for the surgery.

There is a disconnect in…read morecommunication between the hospital, St. Vincent's where the procedures/surgery takes place and the Cancer Specialist office where the doctors, nurses and medical schedulers are. There is no communication between the two places where there should be because if no one can communicate with the other, that could mean that someone may die if proper communication is not made! There's got to be a better system in place for communication so everyone knows what is happening with the patient and everyone will know what care the patient is receiving. It would save a lot of time and energy in having to repeat why the patient or care taker is calling if the hospital and doctor's office can communicate!

He promptly scheduled me for an infusion this week and that's what I had today. There is plenty of parking, a large lobby, and even a vending machine for snacks if your infusion takes a while like mine did! Let me preface I have a horrible fear of needles, so this kind of place is a nightmare for me. When I told the nurses and the people who draw blood, they were so quick to make me as comfortable as possible. Kris, the nurse manager, was able to find a vein in my baby sized veins. She was so patient, kind, and compassionate. I get anxiety about being a burden since I can be difficult, but she didn't make me feel that way for a second. Another honorable mention is the nurse I had, Jasmine, who was so attentive and supportive. She explained things very thoroughly and made me feel confident in the treatment I was getting. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Overall, if you come here, be assured you'll have some great care with professionals who lead with compassion and patience. No one wants to go to a cancer center, but the nurses and doctors change that once you meet them.

I was able to check in for my appointment for a blood draw to be followed by an x-ray. I didn't get to sit three minutes and I was called for the blood draw lol. I was not by such a lovely woman who listened when I said I bruise easily and used a butterfly draw to make it easier. Just a prick. Seamless and quick then I walked out to check in for the x-ray where the experience was similar. I hope I can come to this facility again for some future things like mammograms, x-rays, and bloodwork. I would like to permanently break up with Labcorp. Employees here have all been free, friendly and helpful. The quality of care so far has been excellent.

I made an appointment for an initial consultation with him and went to that yesterday. He's a really nice guy and has long history of successful surgical experience. But unfortunately my insurance Florida Blue doesn't cover any sort of weight loss and I don't have the money to pay out of pocket, so my bariatric weight loss dreams ended there until I get a better insurance plan. Dr. Sharma was very kind and handled explaining things to me about insurance and giving me out of pocket estimate. If I ever do get better insurance that covers a bariatric sleeve I'll be using Dr. Sharma for it.

My weight had plummeted drastically to the point where I was skin and bones. My gastroenterologist kept telling me to take Pepsid but did nothing to address the root issue, which was a hiatal hernia. After several endoscopy sessions confirming the presence of a hernia he chose to just monitor the situation. I only wish I had found Dr. Sharma sooner. He took the time to listen to my symptoms, order the right tests and personally did my endoscopy. He discovered my hernia was much larger than my gastro initially relayed and I was scheduled for surgery soon after. His skill as a robotic surgeon is unparalleled. I did not have to take any pain meds post op at all and the incisions healed extremely well. What a blessing not to have any complications, something that speaks to Dr. Sharma's level of competence and experience. I am truly thankful and will be forever grateful for him and the standard of care he and his staff have shown to me. He has indeed given me a new life. I should also mention his facilities are spotless and state of the art. That in addition to the sweet and caring staff has always put me at ease. I couldn't recommend Dr. Sharma and New Life Surgical more for anyone who is suffering from any gastro related problem that requires surgery.

This is a medical care review for health insurance. United Healthcare is health insurance and Optum…read moreis their OTC division. The type of care is none. They don't care. Both the type and quality of care are both subpar on their over the counter benefit. They use their division called Optum to do this.This company has absolutely horrible customer. You're on hold and get cut off, so you have to call again. You're transferred to the incorrect department and they have zero concern for the quality of the medications they ship. I received gummie supplements that were liquid because they were on a FedEx truck in 100 degree weather. They re-sent them and the same result; shipped in a cardboard box, no packing & melted from being in a hot FedEx truck. I just used my quarterly supplement to order more OTC items. All of the items are compromised due to molecular breakdown from being stored on a 100+ degree FedEx truck and all of the bottles say to store at room temperature which is 68-77F or 20-25C. I spent 4 hours on the phone being transferred and cut off. None of these medications are still at full potentcy. They don't know what they can do because they are not packed at the facilities where people answer phones. My OTC benefit was completely wasted and they refused to refund it. This is one division of United Healthcare to completely avoid.

I only received one call three days after the purchase. Since then, radio silence. They feel like they do not have to deal with me because all sales are final. That's not the proper way to do business. They don't believe in their own product, why should you? Fun fact, in less than two months, they've had one salesman and another EMT quit that place. People just don't walk away from good jobs.
