An owner kept his dog on the leash while in the park, usually not a recommended habit. Grateful the town offers a dog park, but not too sure about the care and rules of the park.

The business owner came out and warned us against going to the dog park, saying he wouldn't bring his own dog there and that "if you see a pit bull, run". I've also heard from others about a different problematic large dog (and it's owner), where the dog is very aggressive and violent towards other dogs and humans. If you are concerned, perhaps stay in the gentle dog section and don't go into the rowdy section!
