Elements of Abandonment that occurred: Lack of notice without allowing time to find alternative care Failure to Ensure Continuity of care. The doctor must fail to arrange or provide info about alternative care. Patient abandonment can result in worsening of condition etc. Also lying about a diagnosis on paper without verifying the validity of the situation.
