But Matt Coley was my Mechanic and he had a new steer tire and got my alignment done in no-time flat. Great People Here. They will get you taken care of Truckers ! After having a blowout on our RV, we limped into the local Love's Truck stop in Jasper Alabama. They said that they could not help us with RV tires and referred us to Southern Tire Mart. They said that even though Southern Tire Mart was closed , they did run 24 hour service. Since Loves parking lot was full, we limped in Southern Tire Marts parking lot to change the tire ourselves using our spare. While sitting in the parking lot of Southern Tire Mart, we called their number to see what the fee would be to help change the tire. When speaking to the girl at the call center, we were a bit confused as to what state we were in ( flustered with dealing with the blowout). She said she could not find the store. I explained that we were in the parking lot. It took a minute to realize that we gave the wrong state. Once we got that figured out, she said she needed to call someone to see if they could assist. When she came back on the line, she asked if we had an account with them. I said no - that we would be paying cash. I was told that they were dealing with emergencies and would not be able to help and besides the shop in Jasper didn't do RV's. I told her that I find it hard to believe that Love's truck stop would refer us to someone only to be told that they didn't help with RV's. So we continued to work on changing out the tire ourselves. A gentleman and his wife pulled in and asked if we needed help. He stated that he worked there and could pull a truck around. After speaking to him for a bit, we realized that it was his day off and he was not on call for the weekend. He was just driving by and saw us in the parking lot working on changing the tire. After getting the tire off, we discussed whether we should buy a tire or just use the spare and try to get to Memphis and deal with in the am. He made a phone call to his boss and we were actually able to buy 3 tires, get them mounted and back safely on the road. Thank you Southern Tire Mart for getting us taken care of and having employees that take time out of their personal days to help a stranded traveler.
