Thick cut turkey (and I do mean thick), applewood-smoked bacon, Munster cheese, lettuce, sliced red onion, tomato and chipotle aioli on focaccia bread. What a great sandwich, one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever had. I got the sweet potato fries for my side, they were hot and crispy. With the side of honey mustard (which I also poured on my sandwich), it took everything over the top. Oh and it included a big pickle spear, always a plus! And for $16, that's a heck of a deal for Pinehurst. The beverage selection isn't the biggest. They have three draft beers, but there are a lot more canned options. Super friendly service as well.

We were excited to play a course that was a classic Donald Ross design and host of the 122nd LPGA US Open won by Minjee Lee. An exceptional course in every way. The Fairways are plush with green grass. The greens were well manicured and cut nice and close to create fast conditions but not overly so. A challenging design with many of the green side and fairway bunkers Donald Ross is known for. A beautiful course with some exceptional views and an overall great golf experience. I've played over 100 courses from coast to coast and would place this in the top 5. I'm already thinking about planning my next trip to play this course again.

Make sure it's working and you understand how to operate before leaving the lot. We had to have a mechanic come and inquire why our tractor would not run at an acceptable speed. Looks like the oil filter had not been changed and the equipment was starving for oxygen. Worked 6 hours before mechanic was able to come. We were credited for our experience ok. Fair but check your equipment!

(Fill in the blank: color, thinner, more rested, etc. etc.) It had proven to be one of those things that was not going to happen until the stars aligned. I'm happy to say they did. I met Gary at a local business and he graciously shared some of his work with me. After seeing what a talented photographer he was I made an appointment to come to his studio. When at the last minute my childcare fell through, Mr. Kaplan offered to have them come along (since they're big kids now) and even put a movie on the laptop for them. I've worked with several photographers over the years and I must say his demeanor and warmth went far in putting me at ease. I actually had fun with something as straight forward as a head shot! His anecdotes and musing gave me a glimpse into his broad background in the arts. I think it must be rich life experiences that make ones photography remarkable and memorable, as opposed to simply capturing an image. I'm looking forward to bringing my children to be photographed by Gary as well. I feel really lucky to have found a photographer who made me and my kids feel so totally comfortable and who's work is outstanding.

Looking back on the pictures, we realized the photographer didn't do well at properly orientating people in photos, as you typically would expect a photographer to - ex: didn't bring the group closer together to prevent weird gaps in a picture. After the wedding, the photographer was very poor at communication, and missed the estimated time to receive the photographs. This wouldn't be so bad if the photographer proactively communicated. However, we were forced to follow up with the photographer for updates.
