Beautiful venue for a wedding! Loved it and the fireworks and horse and carriage when my friend got married there.

Beautiful place for a wedding. So worth it. They had fire works and also horse and carriage to make the day a story book wedding.

Southern Oaks is what dream weddings are made of. Guests have not stopped raving, we still feel like we're on cloud 9. Flawless, well oiled machine. Dylan and Jae were the stars of the night. Maxwell was a fantastic host and DJ. Mr Bobby was wonderful. Everyone on the team was...exceptional. If you have the money; it's worth EVERY PENNY.

My cousin's wedding was here over the weekend. And they really wow us.. Couple things that went wrong but by all mean it was their fault.. We told our guests that the gate won't open and non are welcome until close to 7pm. However, our elders decided they wanted to do their own thing and show up at 6pm. When the bridal party were trying to enter and prep. Lauren our wedding coordinator was great.. She handle the problems head on. Make sure all of our elders have a place to sit and be out of the way. Bobby the owner have that gorgeous blondish hair quietly oversees everything. Yet step in to make sure everything went smoothly. Nick our party coordinator have been sent to us by Baby Jesus.. He made sure we were on point. Where to walk, when to start walking. When to stop and coordinate everything so we don't look stupid.. Food came out hot and on time. All tapas style. Jambalaya, crab wrapped in bacon, corn soup, sushi, tea sandwiches, alligators, etc. I literally took a bite on a lot but didn't have time to finish.. At the plantation. They have strict rules you must follow. Rightfully so that way there won't be any fighting, dramas, people act accordingly. Here's some of the rules listed 1) no drinks before the ceremony 2) no shots at all 3) don't feed the horse in the back 4) jump in the pool and you will have to hand over $500. I totally Understand why these rules were in place. And due to that. There were no incidents. And overall the place is gorgeously decorated. All around.. give a very historic feel. End the ceremony with fireworks. I mean what more can you ask for!!

Southern Oaks is a 5 star operation. From booking, to planning, to the big day, and follow up after, the team at Southern Oaks was outstanding. Owner Bobby personally called me after we got home to say thank you and talk more about our wedding. His #2 Lauren is wedding coordinator extraordinaire, she also is the commander on the big day! She drove her team to execute each component flawlessly throughout our reception and ceremony. They make things perfect and stay out of your way so you can enjoy the night. Having a personal attendant assigned to me was amazing because I never noticed them but my drink was also never empty and I didn't even have to ask! For the first time in my life, I attended a wedding and didn't visit the bar once!!! The lighting installed outside at the venue was magical at night. The food was delicious, abundant, and received many compliments from our guests. For enhancements we added: silver cloud limo, second line band, fireworks, drago's oyster truck, and Mardi Gras parade. I'd recommend all of them because they added a lot to the experience for us and for our guests. Tbh the fireworks were the element that truly made it over the top!!! (which is what we were going for) New Orleans: we decided to do a destination wedding because we live out west in Montana and our family is from all over (especially the Midwest). My wife and I have always loved NOLA, and we have been there many times. Once we selected NOLA, Southern Oaks came up to the top of our list for venues. We traveled down to tour the venue and for comparison we found two other venues to tour as well: The Jax & Elms Mansion. We saw those first and they were both phenomenal, but they just weren't what we wanted. When we met with Lauren and drank champagne as we toured the property envisioning our big night there, we knew it was an easy decision. When our date was available we didn't hesitate to book Southern Oaks and you should book them too! Most of our guests and family's hadn't been to NOLA before. We have heard rave reviews about the event at Southern Oaks but also the long weekend in the big easy. To say people had fun, was the understatement of the year. Many of my cousins took my mom to the side at the wedding and said "I'm just glad that I'm already married, so I don't have to try to follow this!!!" They loved the food, culture, music, and vibes. October weather in NOLA is fab too! Pat O'Brien's definitely got some extra business from our Irish crew on our wedding weekend! Thank you so much to Bobby, Lauren, and the entire Southern Oaks Teams. We wish you nothing but success, and we know you'll have it because you are so good at what you do. You will always hold a place in our hearts for being part of our wedding celebration! Ok I'm done gushing. Talk to them and get your event booked, you won't regret it!!! Shoot outs to: Dark Roux (photographer) Redfish (rehearsal dinner) Landry's (welcome party) Bourbon Orleans Hotel (hotel provider) KimStar Wise (florist) Hotard (transportation) Virgo Beauty (make up & hair)

I want to get married here again and again. Everything was so taken care of from beginning to end. I still and probably will always have guest raving about the service and FOOD! The food is out of this world. I almost wish they would open it up once a year as a restaurant just so I could have it again. As a bride there are several things that happen wedding day that can be extremely stressful and not once did I feel that way. My husband and I laugh because the people were soooo fast with everything. As soon as we got down to the last sip our drinks a new one was already in our hands. They are worth every penny. I do feel like some areas need to be updated but that just added to the charm of the place. I could rave about the staff for days but y'all get the point.... They know what they are doing!!!

As soon as you drive up you know you are somewhere special. From the front landscaping to the beautiful decor inside to the relaxing pool in the back. The doorman shakes your hand as you enter to make you feel welcomed. The food is amazing. The crawfish dressing and sweet potato casserole stand out. Sushi is from from Mikimotos on Carrollton Avenue. They are so good at perfecting every detail to make your experience outstanding whether youre the host or the guest.

The best reception venue in New Orleans! The food is amazing served by a very pleasant staff. If you are looking for that Disney experience with a True southern flare, Southern Oaks is your place! First class all the way around!

I was able to handle everything via their Instagram DM so it was really fast and efficient. Laying out all of the details ahead of time was so reassuring. What's great about GNC is they handle all the set-up, secure the location, very detail oriented, and handle all the breakdown and cleanup! All you have to do is bring the alcohol or any preferred choice of beverage. Your reservation includes a two hour reservation with the set-up and you can pay for additional hours and guests if desired. Since this was for Valentine's Day it was just for my partner and I. We were placed at the Tree of Life and I was contacted the day of with all updates. When we parked in front of the tree, my partner and I were in absolute awe of the set-up. GNC had it beautifully set up and had the area reserved with a private picnic in action. There was a mini heat generator, champagne bucket, still and sparkling water bottles, our charcuterie and sweet board, pillows, lounge pillows, blankets, so many cute VDay details, and even a few lagniappes for us to enjoy. GNC is all about the details and the Assorted Boards charcuterie boards were delish! I highly recommend using them for special occasions, dates, or a large family and friend function. I'll definitely be using this upscale service again! BTW it is SUPER AFFORDABLE.

Kelley was recommended to us by a mutual friend. We were planning a Thanksgiving family vacation…read morein New Orleans for a party of 10 people, ages ranging from 86 y/o to 12 y/o. We had already arranged our own accommodations 1 block from the French Quarter nearly a year in advance. New Orleans is a unique city and we wanted to experience it like a local while hitting the touristy destinations that everyone should see at least once (several of us had been there and had our own favorite experiences) - so deciding what we could pul off financially within in a week and getting reservations became a daunting task. Luckily I mentioned this to a neighbor in Miami Beach (where I live) and he immediately told us about his friend Kelley. He assured me she could help sort it out. Having traveled a lot, I've had mixed results using the concierge services at hotels so I would have never sought out a concierge service. Often in tourist destination cities like New Orleans I've been steered to places off the beaten path that were not good at all, or tourist destinations where the experience was sub par. I have come to the conclusion that recommendations often are based on where the concierge can get the best reward for the referral, rather than what the best place for my particular needs might be. By hiring Kelley this fear quickly disappeared. Given the extraordinary service provided, her fee was nominal and she put together a 10 page customized brochure for us with a map of the city highlighting the places she was suggesting specifically for us. Every suggestion was based on knowledge she had gained about the individual likes and dislikes of members of our group - no easy task to please diverse needs when dealing with strangers. One example of value she added - she pulled strings to get us inside the clubhouse on the finish line at the Fair Grounds for Thanksgiving Day for "opening day at the track" a New Orleans tradition we 1. would have never considered and 2. couldn't have pulled off on our own, as this books up in advance (she has connections). At her suggestion we all dressed up for the occasion and we fit right in. Great fun! Private dining rooms for 10 at Jacques Imo and Cafe Atchafalaya don't just appear out of thin air - she booked these for us and made it all happen. That little cocktail bar tucked away in a hotel just around the block from us became a regular hangout during down time - we would have NEVER found it if she hadn't clued us in. A couple of weeks before our trip one member of our party was hospitalized and it was touch and go whether or not we would be able to take the trip at all. We still hadn't finalized dinner reservations. I advised Kelley to hold off finalizing anything as I didn't want her to go to the trouble of making bookings she might have to cancel. A week before the trip everything was a go. Fortunately she had already taken the initiative to book us in the most popular places we had discussed to ensure we wouldn't be out of luck. During the trip we texted her for on the spot suggestions and help several times. She was always responsive, friendly and helpful. She even texted us during the trip a couple of times to let us know about just announced musical experiences and festivals in the Quarter. I could go on and on, but let's just say the adults had the experiences they wanted, the kids had plenty to do and had a great time, the mobility issues of one member of our party were taken into account by Kelley: She came up with a pedi-cab bar crawl (just ask her) so he could enjoy bar hopping without walking and advised us where to valet to avoid long walks at each destination. Everyone has raved about every suggestion she made. I finally met Kelley in person at the track, on Thanksgiving Day. It's great to have a knowledgeable, trusted friend who lives in a city your visiting. If you're headed to New Orleans and want to experience it like a local, I'm confident Kelley will create a memorable, personalized experience for you whether your a party of 1 or a major corporation. We felt guilty accepting her services at the fee she charged so we adjusted it to a price we could afford, but still know she put in hours of work beyond what we paid her. I can't recommend her highly enough. Clandestine sounds like it could be a bit naughty. Well, that's New Orleans for you. It also implies a secret - well, I'm letting the cat out of the bag.

Kelly and the Clandestine team literally made our JazzFest spectacular!…read more From the exclusive all access pass she arranged for us, to the hand picked venues, restaurants and local haunts we would never find on our own, each experience was top notch! However her team really went above and beyond when they noticed the rainy weather and began to scour the New Orleans area looking for all but sold out shrimp boots for 10 of us. Shrimp boots you ask? Well she correctly assumed the fair grounds would be a muddy disaster and she was right! While the rest of the tourists were slopping around in the mud like WoodStock in '69 my krewe was blasting through those puddles right to the front of the stage like a monster truck rally champ!!
