Every employee I spoke with was located at a "call center" and not even at the actual place of business. The supervisor at the call center who called herself "Jana", then changed her name to Melissa was the worst! I had a contract for services, paid a deposit and was canceled with no explanation. I relied to my detriment on this contract to fulfill a scheduled move on a specific date and time. This is by far the worst company I have ever encountered.

Early the next morning he calls with a request to adjust his proposal with an additional worker and to arrive in the morning vs the afternoon as we discussed and agreed. At this point this is a breach of contract however I accommodated this company by accepting the additional labor but keeping the schedule timeframe the same. Here is where incompetency takes place. Ryan agreed to the labor and asked me what time would I want the crew to arrive. I gave him a specific time of 12:30. Of course no show. No updates, no calls or explanations. They got my deposit and now no contact or communication. Ryan, your lack of understanding customer service and unprofessionalism has resulted in the loss of this customer and hopefully anyone else who sees this. After reading recent reviews I am happy to avoid his company.

I checked after they left and the coupons were gone. Hired them again in 2022 to move into a one bedroom apartment in St Matthew's. When they got there they did not give enough time to direct them where I wanted things, they broke one of my lamps, and I lost a box with pictures and 3 small mini cameras. My last move, I used a moving organizer She used these guys. When we got to the new apartment, again I went into my bedroom and checked my two Chester drawers. Again, the drawers had clothes stuffed into drawers they did not belong in, a pair of jeans that should have been with the clothes in the walk in closet, and they spilled a large bowl of change I had in my Chester drawers. Don't use these guys. Untrustworthy and the owners / office are no help.

I did have a bill of lading from one of the big boy moving companies so he would have an idea of the size of the load. I was able to give him the weight of the load as well as the cubic feet of the load that the national moving company had in their truck. I did explain since i had been in Louisville I had purchased new washer and dryer, a new couch, a new chair and a new table and chairs for the kitchen. He walked the house and saw what I had which most of it was still boxed from my previous move in October of 2022. He stated that a 26-foot box truck would easily accommodate my household belongings. At first he quoted me an hourly rate of $50/hr for his people to pack and load then unload. Then he quoted me a hard number of $4,300 to pack, load a 26 foot truck, drive it to Indianapolis, unload and assemble items like beds, tables and such. I received another quote from a local mover which was a little lower but since Corey seemed more professional and seemed to know what he was doing I chose Alpha Moving. The three guys showed up pretty much when scheduled, one was a little late but we all got into packing the boxes I had saved from my previous move. I was working and packing as much as they were. I bought the three of them lunch and we got back at it. Afterwards I gave them all a $20 for their efforts. On the moving day they were supposed to return between 9 and 10 AM. Robert, one of the other owners, called me at about 9:20 to say that U-Haul did not give him any blankets and that he would need to return to the U-Haul store to get some. (My thought was, wouldn't you notice that before you leave the store and not while you are driving to my house? How does that happen? Did he stop for breakfast and look in the truck? Why didn't he notice when he was there?) Robert finally arrived after 10 AM and the guys started loading. As they got closer to the back of the truck there seemed to be more close conversations between them. They came to me and asked if I can take some items with me in my SUV which I reminded them that I had two large dogs that have been wandering around the house that I will be taking with me. Then they decided that they would place some items, as much as they could, into one of the employees cars. They finally came back to me and said that everything would not fit into the truck and they would either need to rent a trailer or they could have another employee drive his personal pick up (Ford Ranger) and fit as much as they could in that for another $300.00. I told them that I was ensured by Corey that everything would fit into a 26-foot box truck with ease. I told them that I work in an industry that when you give a price you live by it. Well Corey and Robert did not and were charging me the added $300 to get my belongings to my new house. Before we left they were sliding a glass tabletop to a desk into the truck and it shattered into over a million pieces. There was glass everywhere! It took them forever to sweep it out of the truck and on to the driveway and then pick it up off of the driveway using my broom and dustpan. We finally got all loaded and ready for our trek north at around 2 PM. I knew this had the makings of a very long day already. They offloaded the furniture first so I was able to direct where each piece was to go without issue. When they began offloading the boxes that was a different story. They had some boxes that were not labeled so they inevitably ended up in the wrong room. When they finally got everything unloaded we were all standing near the front door and I thanked them for their efforts. I gave them each a $20 again and told them I wish I could give them more but that I was still upset about being charged an extra $300 for Corey underestimating the size of the truck/equipment need to move my belongings and I was going to give each one of them a $50 bill but that they would need to see Corey for it. At that time Robert told me that it all most likely would have fit in this truck but he noticed early on that when they had started packing the front of the truck there were "pockets" and open spaces and the truck should have been packed better and "tighter" than it was. At this point one of the more seasoned employees turned around and walked out the door. I believe he was upset that Robert had just thrown him under the bus in front of a client. So we ended up settling on $300 for the cost of the glass tabletop but they charge an extra 3 or 4% if you use a credit card so they charged me $150 so my total bill was $4450.00 all in. As I have been unpacking I have noticed that one particular box is missing from my many boxes. I have texted Corey to see if either of the two Alpha employees have found the box in their vehicles but he has not responded at all in well over 72 hours which is very bad business.

Wow what a crew. I Got a call a day ahead of time to confirm for the 3rd. They did have a rental truck so I was iffy? Then they started working, these guys are quick, strong and very very professional. I'm talking I have a bedroom set from Egypt I paid $12,000 for it. It's literally like 2000 lbs for all 4 pieces they padded,shrink stuff and even boxed it. Like put boxes all around it to protect it for extra protection. Plus they boxed all my t.vs at no extra fees. I had 2 estimates these guys were half the price. I was skeptical but Joey and his 3 men worked there butt off. Alex and Joey was hilarious seeing them say I'm a better mover than you . So they made us feel comfortable and very funny as well. Moving was recommended when I had to move my 95 yo aunt from an assisted living facility into a nearby nursing home. Southern Moving is the 1st moving company that I have ever given an exceptional rating, and I highly recommend others to use and will definitely use again for my moving needs. The person I spoke with when I first called them was friendly, efficient & patiently answered all my questions. She explained I would receive a call from the movers the day of when they were on their way & I did. This is the crew you want, and if you're lucky in Indians, you'll get them for your move. Efficient, professional, experienced and it shows in every detail of the move. I thought I was ready when I had boxed, marked, and identified clearly what was gonna be moved. But this superfast crew blazed through, and while the guys with truck were delayed by traffic, the other crew members had moved all stuff to the garage and had'em ready for the truck. When joey had to reschedule earlier in the week I was upset, but getting this crew today was truly a godsend. Kudos to hoetmh and team. Me and my wife had abf tractors to be offloaded and these guys were awesome. They showed up ready to work and did in the 101 degree weather- I highly recommend these guys much cheaper than most big companies and much more personal service. Service was excellent. The men worked without breaks and had us moved in a matter of a few hours. Far faster than I had expected. They carefully unwrapped furniture in plastic & the many moving pads used for additional protection. Boxes were set up at the new location and they positioned furniture to our specifications. So this was a last minute move and boy this company is awesome. Nearly within the HR they came and moved everything inside there 26 foot truck in a HR in a half. So I rushed to apps and the internet to find a backup. Most didn't even answer, but Dustin with Keep it Movin answered immediately. A real live person! Of course, with zero notice he wasn't able to get me instant help, though he did try to coordinate a crew for the same day, but it was already midafternoon by the time I called him, but what he did do was assure me he'd have a crew the next day. I gave a time I'd be available and he said he'd find a way to squeeze our mini move in even though they had already been booked for the next day too. Unlike several others who say one thing and do another, Dennis made good on his promise and two great guys, Ray and Ryan showed up and took great care of my little move. The price was very fair, and especially considering next day service. They are proof that there are still good people out there and I would definitely call on them again!

Super bad look when you're in the service industry. I would recommend Tri-State Moving as they should up within 30 minutes and got us moved quickly and turned out we were able to get the truck back in time! Go Denzel!

They even flipped on their hazards and slowed traffic on 71 making sure the antique buggy that has been in my family for generations didn't shift in transit! We knew what was happening every step of the way and owner Alex was with the crew to make sure all details were covered. We had checked other moving company estimates and thought their estimate for our needs were fairly priced. To be fair we also did our part and got all of the furniture ready to move, cleaned out drawers ahead of time, cleared paths. It's a two way street to move well! After the move Alex checked in with us asking for feedback and to make sure we felt like everything was taken care of before he considered the job done. I would use this company again for future moving needs and I was happy to be able to support a local start up clearly working hard to provide the best possible service to their clients.

We put in a service request for packing and moving with Chris. He was great at communicating until it was time to show up and complete the work after he received our $208 deposit. The two Here & There Moving employees who loaded everything were kind, courteous, and highly efficient. When I wanted to confirm a day to pick up they contacted me the next day AND was able to put me on the schedule that morning! I love to get things done quickly and thoroughly. James and Nate arrived on time. They worked quickly to remove all the junk I pointed out. There was no discrepancies with the price quoted which was a fair price with discounts even given. Nate even went the extra mile to sweep up the pile I had started in my garage. I would 100% recommend this company for your haul away needs. I plan on using them again for my next project.
