The Rusty Razor is a relatively new barbershop that is located in a strip mall. Interior is…read morespacious and features plenty of chairs to sit while waiting, as well as a Keurig with complementary coffee. The walls are lined with strips of rusted metal, as a nod to their name I presume. They do walk-ins and schedule appointments also. There have been 2-3 barbers present each time I've visited. The owner usually has a customer every time I'm there, but the other barbers are often free when I walk in. I've only done walk-ins to date, and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I used to have a regular barber in Edmond that I liked, and since I moved from Edmond I've been trying out different barbers all over OKC for the past few years. Have had a spectrum of experiences, which range from quick haircuts that are cheap and terrible, one size fits all(think places like Great Clips) to more salon-like places that focus on quality that give you a good haircut but take 30-45 minutes to do after you've been waiting for about that long. The Rusty Razor is right in the middle =of the spectrum. They don't rush you but don't spend an inordinate amount of time on the haircut either. I've had haircuts done by Destany and Amy, and while they're not the best I've ever had, they've been consistent and according to my specifications. The haircut costs $20, although I'm not sure this is barber dependent or the standard for the whole shop. It's a little steep, ideally I think it should be around $15 for what you get. However, their location is close to where I live so the convenience somewhat balances this out for me. This, along with the quick service and decent quality they provide will likely keep me coming back regularly.
