Ordered a Godfather venom red exclusive. It arrived with assembly or handling scratches on both sides of the handles. Not acceptable for a $300.00 knife. Southern Edges states that they hand inspect every knife before shipping. They must have missed this one! They also charge for shipping insurance. I deal with 12 dealers and none of them charge shipping insurance. Cost me $33.00 to send it back to PROTECH. I have another Godfather on the way today. Any flaws in this knife and I will send it back also. Probably done with Southern Edges. Too many others to buy from. EKNIVES and KNIVES SHIP FREE are two of my best dealers. If I could give SEKW less then 1 Star I would. I purchased a Benchmade Boost assisted folder, fair price, timely shipping but The Boost shipped Had a defective assist spring leaving the knife useless within minutes after un-boxing. I call and spoke with Michael and he said they would take care of it, just email "Chad" and he would send me a shipping label to return it for a refund, Chad's reply was Benchmade has a great service Dept just send it to them for repair a my expense and wait 3 to 4 week for them to fix my new $150 knife. So I send another email asking for a refund or store credit and this time the owner Garrett replyed with I can send it back at my expense for a refund but there's also a restocking fee...for a defective!!! I was a repeat customer of SEKW but not any more. They have a good selection of quality knives and very friendly staff. Gentlemen working yesterday was happy to answer questions make suggestions. However when purchasing a knife i was told it doesn't come with a sheath, I thought that was odd but not being familiar with this model knife I assumed the information was accurate. A quick online search reveals it normally comes with a sheath, sharpener and fire starter. I could have saved 25 bucks and gotten the whole set on Amazon. I don't mind paying more to support local brick and mortar businesses but paying more to get less is frustrating. read more
