Southern Edges states that they hand inspect every knife before shipping. They must have missed this one! They also charge for shipping insurance. I deal with 12 dealers and none of them charge shipping insurance. Cost me $33.00 to send it back to PROTECH. I have another Godfather on the way today. Any flaws in this knife and I will send it back also. Probably done with Southern Edges. Too many others to buy from. EKNIVES and KNIVES SHIP FREE are two of my best dealers. I call and spoke with Michael and he said they would take care of it, just email "Chad" and he would send me a shipping label to return it for a refund, Chad's reply was Benchmade has a great service Dept just send it to them for repair a my expense and wait 3 to 4 week for them to fix my new $150 knife. So I send another email asking for a refund or store credit and this time the owner Garrett replyed with I can send it back at my expense for a refund but there's also a restocking fee...for a defective!!! I was a repeat customer of SEKW but not any more. There's a lot of other online knife stores...use the ones that will stand behind the products they sell, and that's not Southern Edge Knife Works.
