Set an appointment- the salesperson walks into our backyard and so we start going through the paces he starts by saying we don't do small jobs. We typically deal with big projects which means big $$. Red flag for us since we just wanted a stone patio with a fire pit in the center 10x10. We are like ok? Is this a job you would do? Silence .... So we go into price.... Well, what would the ballpark be? Huge sigh and head scratch. I was beginning to think he didn't want the job which is fine, just tell me that and be on your way. I asked are we within $10,000, no response, he is staring down at the grass then he goes well it is a huuuge job. My husband realized what was at play, So my husband wanted to see how far he would go, $20,000 ball park? No response, $30,000? No response, $50,000 .... $60,000 well I need to have several guys here and it is very labor intensive. A 10x10 patio???? I am sure if we kept adding tens of thousands he would keep going & we were going to get ripped off. We never got a straight answer on price or project time line. What we did get was a laugh and a little amusement out of the appointment so not all was lost.

Where something had it and shattered. I called Kornell and informed him on what happened. I even texted him a picture. There was absolutely no communication from him. Also, the irrigation company came out about an hour ago and come to find out that I had a broken head again, where they damaged. So now I got a broken window and a busted sprinkler head that has to be replaced due to their incompetence. And make it so bad I was paying him an extra $25 every two weeks for them to walk my front yard to make sure that there were no sprinkler heads sticking up b4 they start cutting. The last cut, 17Jul, no one from the crew walked the front yard. I was watching them from a far. Now he has completely ghosted me. I texted him to inform that I will NO LONGER be using them at this address. $370. (Window) & $80. (Sprinkle head) later.

He takes care of the routine mowing, edging and clean up on a 10-14 day rotation. In 2020, we changed out all the shrubs that had outgrown their place close to our home. Kornell was most helpful with picking out plants that were best suited for the space, pointing out the duration of sun in a particular place, potential growth of plants, all the things the majority of people don't think about. A few plants had to be relocated to another place on the property, he was happy to move them. This spring we wanted a portion of our front lawn resodded, of course we called Southside Lawn for the job. Our lawn looks amazing! 2/5 stars 3 Climbers Tree Service did solid work on the…read moreactual grading and sod laying. The yard leveling looked great and the sod was laid well. That's where the good part ends. After the sod was down, no one told us how to care for it, no watering schedule, no feeding instructions. We also had to ask them to return to trim the sod back from where it was laid up onto the tree trunks which still has not been done. The bigger issue was a fencing job we'd discussed as follow-up work. Communication basically stopped for weeks. I told them 3-4 separate times to just order the fence, and it kept getting drawn out with no clear reason why. Never got a real update without chasing them down. Good crew for the hands-on landscaping work, but the follow-through and communication need serious improvement before I'd hire them again or recommend them for anything beyond a single, self-contained job. Honestly, if not for the crew's work ethic on the actual labor, this review would have scored much lower.

Buyer Be Ware!!!! Joey Parker is not an honest man! Last year he and his crew were hired to grade…read moreand install sod in our front and back yard. The back yard is fine, only because we hired another company to do the grading. However, we allowed Joey and his crew to grade and install in the front yard. The sod arrived the same day the grading took place and it was a hot day. In order to get the sod down before it burned, Joey rushed the grading. There are so many dips, hills and holes. Its very difficult to walk on the grass and cut the grass because the mower bounces all over the place. You can easily break a leg if running. So my grandkids can't even run and play on it because its dangerous. We also had a dry creek removed by them. Instead of taking the rocks away, which we asked and paid for, they placed some of the rocks under the sod. He said that's common in order to level the sod. Imagine walking on rocks, holes, hills, etc., in your front yard. He, himself stated that it wasn't done properly and told us he would correct it and it would be smooth as butter when he finished. Promise after promise. To date, he has never returned, and stopped responding to our phone calls or text messages. We requested a partial refund so we can correct it. No response! Looks like we will see him in court! He claimed to support veterans. Buyer Be Ware!!.

The owner of Home Pro Remodeling (Mr Joseph) is a nice guy. He came out quickly and provided a good…read moreestimate. We asked this company to paint a couple of rooms, tile a bathroom, and fix some water spots. He was able to have his crew come out and start work within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The crew used the cheapest possible plastic tarps over our carpet. They didn't stay down, and as a result, there is paint on carpets throughout the room. They didn't put tarps down at all in the other rooms, and left paint on the hardwood floor in our foyer. There are several places (like around electrical sockets) where they completely failed to paint. The crew also tried to simply paint over the water spots rather than actually repair them as had been agreed. I pointed out these issues to Mr Joseph on our walkthrough. He assured me that he would be back the following week to fix them himself. From that point forward, the excuses began to flow in and he has never shown up to remedy any of the issues (despite providing new dates along the way). After our initial meeting, I had high hopes for Home Pro Remodeling. After this experience, I would recommend finding someone else to do any work in your home or business.
