My experience was wonderful. Mark communicated promptly and personally and squeezed me in. His salon is very clean and Mark was super nice. He is truly a professional. He took his time and was incredibly focused. I got my blonde hair deep conditioned and about 4-5" cut off. Mark softened the lines around my face and added some layers. I wish I would have known about him before my trip so I could have scheduled a highlight as I have no doubt he would do an amazing job based on the other reviews and my experience with the cut. I feel the need to post my recent treatment by an older male from this location. I was not a…read morecustomer at this location however feel the gentleman inside Cut/Style behavior was exceptionally inappropriate. I arrived for a services early in the morning before either shop had opened. There was one parked truck located far left. I parked next to this truck. I then noticed a ramp where I parked. I then moved over. At that point I wasn't sure I was leaving enough space for any other clients. I then backed into a spot on the far right of the parking lot. There was nothing posted providing direction for parking. I have never been to the service provided in these small home looking sites. I actually did not notice they were separate. When my service was completed the provider said I need to walk you to your car because the neighbor renter is furious that you parked in front of his Cut/Style shop. I apologized. I got in my car then this Man is standing At my window. I rolled down the window telling him that the provider I saw Fussed at me for parking 2 spaces over from the first business. I apologized. He Ripped a large note he had left on my windshield. He stated in A loud voice "No you wanted under the tree. I had a Sunscreen in my window I didn't need "The Tree." I said I had never been to the business and apologized again. He then said In a loud voice YOU did know better. I am in complete shock. I went for a therapeutic massage based on this community recommendation. My treatment by the neighboring business owner left me feeling threaten and in complete disbelief that someone would be so threatening that I would need to be escorted to my car. I am shocked at this mans behavior, approach to me, his tone and complete lack of respect for a customer in for a new service. This tone not only hurts the business I went to it also hurts his services. I always work hard to ensure I work to keep my business local. Times are hard for everyone. I had and have some neck issues; the first time I came in I could not move my neck to the right at all. This type of massage though is not gentle, it's really to release tension and it may hurt a bit ..but you will come out feeling amazing. I'm sure you can always ask for more or less pressure. I've since moved away 30ish min away but I will continue to come back here! I'd only suggest that they make their music a little longer and ask if any guests would like a heat lamp. Upon my first visit, I explained how I hadn't had a haircut in a couple of years, but, I'm wanting to grow my hair out as long as possible for my wedding the following (this) year. Delighted to find a new bride, three other ladies swarmed around me helping with my makeup & Edith on my hair. I left there looking like a Barbie Doll. I was so under-dressed, I made an excuse to go out! Years ago, I'd stopped into a MAC store as a birthday present to myself. I let one of the consults do a makeup application for me to find the right shades. I got out to the car & immediately wiped it off. The eye shadow & liners used did NOT work with my skin tone or personality. When Edith did my makeup at Transformation Salon, it was SO me & just flawless. She even did my makeup for me on Valentine's. I've seen Edith several times since for trims, but, as she suggested, I'm doing the PM keratin treatments in between. I can't even explain how soft my hair is. We've only taken about 3 inches off, but, my hair has grown even longer & healthier. As a quick side-note: My 11 year old son has long, straight, surfer dude blond hair. We've had so many scary haircut experiences, that it's difficult finding someone he'll allow to cut his hair. He's seen Edith twice & now refuses to go anywhere else. He even asked for her card in case she ever ventures beyond Lakeway. Edith & I recently did a first attempt with my bridal up-do ideas. Edith has a lot of fun playing with my hair and has her own creative touch that I will be so grateful for on my wedding day. We'll also be doing an airbrush makeup application for the day-of, so, I'll be scheduling an appointment soon so I can see how it will look. Here we are, years later, still going back for more. The entire Transformations staff is friendly and talented, but Julian is our number-one guy. I will be very sad when the rest of humanity finally recognizes that Julian is actually a god in disguise and for his own safety he is whisked back to Valhalla where he belongs. Not a very sensible fear, but still--I fear it. Julian is the rare stylist who hears beyond the nonsense of your words ("Can you make it short, but leave it long? And lighten it up, but no layers?") and understands what you hope to be wearing on your head all day. More than that, he has the chops to make it happen. Every day, strangers stop me to remark on my beautiful hair. I tell them to talk to Julian. I hope they do. My son likes a super short do that needs a tune up every six weeks. It is never exactly the same cut--Julian refines the look every time and makes my son happier with each visit. I go every four or five months. That's because my cut keeps looking just as awesome as it grows out as it did the day he cut it. Up to a point, of course. And then I am always happy to visit Julian again. He is funny and kind, fun to talk to, and always makes my day.
