We had two projects that we called Southern Arbor Service for: remove a tall dead pine tree and trim a bamboo grove that had been strangled by a spreading vine. They came promptly at 8 am with a large crew and all the equipment needed. The pine was cut without damaging any surrounding growth and the stump was removed and ground down. Area was raked and left perfectly clean. The bamboo was accessed with a bucket truck. It was trimmed and all the debris was removed. I personally had a horrible experience with this company. Mainly with them just never calling me back or communicating to me at all. 1- I called 3 times trying to get to talk to Senior to ask him, "What are my options?" I sent text. I called his personal line and left voice mail, and I called the main office line. No one ever called me back. 2- Rather than being allowed to speak to Senior again, I instead got a work order for trimming the tree. I had asked for what my options were - meaning - could we replace the tree with someone similar? But instead was just given a work order for trimming the tree back. 3- After agreeing to the work order, I heard nothing back for a week, so I called to ask where I was on the schedule. I was told they would find out and get back to me. No one ever called me back... or called me back today either. No one ever called me back. This was my experience with this company. All we can say is AMAZING! From my first phone call, until the trucks pulled away, there was NOTHING disappointing about Southern Arbor's service. It began with Jamie, who coordinated the removal within my trip to FL, on the exact day I requested, followed up with every step of the permit process and had a great personality. The owner Damon, arrived with all his men first thing in the morning...truck after truck pulled up, and they all got right to work with minimal discussion...which was comforting because you then knew they were very experienced in their field. Had an emergence because a large branch broke and was blocking the road. It was up very high and needed a bucket truck to reach it. Called around and got lots of stories like we can get a bucket truck in 2 days. Then I called Southern Arbor Services Thank GOD. These pros were there in less than an hour. Damon and his team were exceptional. Cleaned the large branch in no time and trimmed the tree as well. Once completed there was no sign of the tree trimming left on the road. Clean up was exceptional. If I didn't get it done this afternoon there was a danger that a high vehicle would run into the hanging branch. So I can rest easy tonight knowing that will not happen.
