Worst cremation service out there, use Perkins instead! Came to my house with a truck and no padding in the bed so my poor cat was basically treated like roadkill. Then the guy proceeded to ask why my wife didn't want to get dolled up and come outside since she made the call but she was still balling her eyes out. Should've decked the idiot and took my cat back but I made the mistake to let them proceed. Still got my cats ashes back but not his blanket that he was wrapped in bc they wanted to burn that also, so lesson learned the hard way. Don't use this service! read more

Unless you want your beloved family member stuffed into a cheap "zippy bag," stay far away from this place. Michael's business shows absolutely no respect for animals--or for grieving families. There was no care, no dignity, just complete disregard. When I called to voice my heartbreak and frustration, Michael showed. no care at all. His excuse? That the bag makes it "easier for customers to pull the remains out of the urn." Are you serious? We're not digging around in an urn like it's a box of leftovers--we're mourning a member of our family. And when we did have to pull our boy out of that urn, your cheap ziploc bag popped open. Out comes Snuggles on my kitchen island. My dog deserved so much better than this careless, disgusting treatment. You should be ashamed. My family is absolutely mortified by how this business treated our baby, and the response we received. No grieving family should experience this kind of afterthought. read more

I may be a bit biased in my review due to the fact that I was a Vet tech in high school, but I was thoroughly impressed with Southeastern Pet Cremation's services. I say this because I remember receiving animals that were cremated in simple paper boxes wrapped in plastic wrap. This was not the experience I had as a pet owner with this company, however. I recently had to put my cat down and called Coastal Mobile Veterinary Clinic (another wonderful service). Dr. Hanson recommended Southeastern as a resource for my animal's cremation. The price was very affordable and the care that they took was really special. They placed my dear's ashes in a simple wooden box, attached a sprig of Rosemary with a card (for remembrance), signed a very kind and not sappy note card thanking me for my service, and also made a cast (like a Christmas ornament) of my cat's paw out of plaster of paris. All of these extras I was not expecting, but deeply touched me and helped me feel like they really cared about my cat. read more

I was heartbroken and disappointed with the services Southeastern pet cremation provided. I laid my beloved baby down and was so upset and wasn't thinking and the vets office said Southeastern could take care of her and i agreed not thinking to request or take her to Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation Service in Dutch square. When i got my baby back it was like she was an after thought. Generic Card with her name penciled in on it. Name tag was inside the card (not engraved) . Perkins Goodbye Hugs Pet Cremation definitely shows more compassion and love . You guys need to do better ! Its a business for you and a dollar ........ for Me it was my baby !!!! read more

Southeastern Pet Cremation offered exceptional care and compassion for me and my deceased pet. Colin was kind, considerate and genuinely sort for my loss. He was gentle and respectful toward my deceased pet and allowed me a final kiss goodbye to my beloved companion. Rebecca brought his remains to me in a very timely manner and was also very kind and caring. I love the rosemary sprig for remembrance that accompanied his ashes, very symbolic and meaningful for me. On  Southeastern's Pet Cremations website, they use the words and sentences,  "With Care & Compassion," "Your Pets Are Family," "We Understand," "We honor your pet." It also says: "Our commitment at Southeastern Pet Cremation is to treat your pet with respect and compassion while in our care." Those statements are absolutely not true. On June 3, 2021, Southeastern came to my residence to pick up our dog, who had been with us for over 11 years.  The vet had just left after providing euthanasia. At this time, I was extremely upset from saying goodbye to my girl. The representative from Southeastern who showed up was in his later years and walked onto my porch with what appeared to be some kind of carryingbag.  I was concerned about how he was going to carry my dog since she weighed 60 pounds.  I stated to him that I thought he would have brought a gurney.   He told me that other trucks have gurneys, but his truck did not.   My dog was laying on a sheet and he asked me if I would mind helping him carry her out to his truck.  We both picked up an end and carried her out to his pickup truck.  At this point he drops the tailgate and tosses my little girl into the back of the pickup truck like she was garbage or some roadkill that was found on the side of the road. The bed of the truck didn't have any kind of lining or carpeting at all.  It didn't really hit me until he pulled away what had just transpired. Two days later the same representative from Southeastern came to my house to drop off the remains of my dog. When I passionately voiced my concerns about the way he treated my dog, he could not even apologize. He just stood there and said that's what they gave me. My dog was not treated with any compassion or respect even while I was present.  I can only imagine what happens when no one is around watching.   I would have gladly transported my dog myself had I known that they were going to just throw her in the back of their pickup truck in that disrespectful manner.  I will never use this company again. If you love and respect your family member (pet) I would think twice before calling Southeastern Pet Cremation. read more

The first contact I had with Southeastern was by phone. Staff was very comforting and knowledgeable. When the time came to put our Sam to rest they were very caring and understanding. They came to our house and waited until our Vet Dr. Kerr had helped our Sam to be made comfortable for his last breathe with us. When they returned his ashes still very compassionate. The delivery was made by Donna who was a comfort and a professional in her attitude and caring love in delivery. Southeastern Pet Cremation are some of the post compassionate folks around. It truly takes someone special to do a job like this. My sweet dog passed away at our home in Swansboro. The very professional staff was at my home within a 1/2 hour of our sweet boy passing away. The gentleman who came to our home was so sweet and loving. He cared for our baby as if it were his own. We visited Southeastern when one of our cats passed away in 2012. Our experience was outstanding. From our initial phone conversation to walking out of the door with our cat's cremains, we were made to feel very comforted. The worker that helped us was great with directions (it's not easily found from the highway), and she walked us through the process in as much detail as we wanted (or didn't want). She was great with my wife (who had owned the cat for years), and allowed her to watch how she prepared our cat for the cremation. We were shown to a quiet waiting area and made to feel very much at ease with the process. These folks understand the gravity of the situation and take every measure to make the pet owner feel good about the experience. They have a good selection of a variety of different urns, and even make a molding of the animal's paw for you. Everything was very well done.
