During a course, I was pregnant and experiencing a medical condition that was properly communicated to the professor, yet I was denied the opportunity to take an exam or receive any reasonable alternative. This decision negatively affected my academic progress and created unnecessary stress. The lack of flexibility, communication, and student advocacy is concerning. Institutions of higher education should ensure fair treatment, especially in situations involving protected conditions such as pregnancy. I am grateful to the University for all they've done and continue to do. I understand everyone has had their experiences, but mine is my own so it's all I can speak to. The location is easy to find, as driving past it is a landmark on the north bound palmetto expressway. There are different places to park at this campus and I see it growing at a good pace. I was able to get my required documentation squared away fast quick and in a hurry. I value my time and I'm glad they valued it as well. Note: you'll need a parking decal if you're going to park there so don't rest on your laurels when it comes to that.

Not only does she personally lead some classes, she also runs the school. To do what she does, really takes skill and a vision. I fondly look back at the memories during my time in this program, this school is everything I was looking for in a RN program. Prior to Sunrise School, I had always wanted to see South Florida with my own eyes and enrolling in the school granted me my wish. My imagination of the Miami metropolitan area was always very much so a dreamy one, and graduating from the school was symbolic to my love of this unique part of America. Nothing but good memories of South Florida! I got my Florida license in August, and after only 10 days, the license was fully endorsed to California, much to my amazement by how fast the whole process was considering that it usually takes at least 1 month from what I heard. If you give it your all in this program, you will succeed. Don't make excuses for your shortcomings, take accountability for the grades you receive and just keep trying. Come to class with the right attitude and mindset because Professor Chancy really strives to ensure you understand the curriculum thus you will only pass if you match her efforts, it is only fair. RN school is NOT easy, especially if you're working full time. But again, it's all willpower that makes it possible. If I ever had to do nursing school again, it will definitely be Sunrise School of Nursing. Thank you so much for everything Professor Chancy, and all the teachers & staff that works there. Jean is also a very memorable friendly person! Wishing her and Sunrise School of Nursing the best, I hope the student enrollments keeps growing bigger and bigger!

Expect that when you first inquire they will make false claims about learning resoruces, and anything else to get you to sign up. They will tell you anything to register. Don't buy into it! The school accepts financial aid, but does not have financial aid staff. I have made countless requests to meet with financial aid over the course of weeks, and no one is available. I was told by two separate front desk personnel on different occassions that there wasn't a direct telephone line or anyone available on campus. As students we were told by professors that per administration we are stritcly prohibited from reviewing our tests. Just imagine taking an exam, and not being able to see at any point what you got wrong. How as a student will you ever correct your mistakes, if you don't know what they are to begin with. Adminstration is disorganized and just as clueless as they come. I made a SECOND request to withdraw over a week ago, they don't have an online portal so there is no way to do it automatically. Instead you must send emails to people who apparently work remote, in the hopes that they will even acknowledege your email. Be prepared to send several emails repeatedly only to recieve an open ended response. Tutoring: When I first inquired with FVI I was told by an admission rep. that there are tutors available for all courses. That was a blatant lie. TI started core nursing classes in Jan. 2022, there was no tutor available (a tutor was hired several weeks after the semester started and majority, if not all of the students in my class failed or scored poorly on their first exams in both didactic and pharmacology). Supplies: The school also lacks supplies in the lab class room. Broken pulse oximeters, bent needles, and overall just a lack of supplies that are vital to learning and skill check offs. I lost count of how many times we had to imagine and pretend in lieu of no supplies. Imagine doing skills check offs for blood glucose checks, and there aren't enough test strips for each student to complete the demonstration for check off. What a joke! Schedules: I did not recieve my class schedule until the night before class started. That was after sending at least 4 emails requesting something as simple as a schedule. Director of Nursing: I initially requested to withdraw over a month ago. The front desk personell directed me to the academic affairs department, who then suggested that I meet with the DON prior to withdrawing. I met with the DON who deflected every concern that I had about the program, and the ways things are done and not done back to me. She lacks understanding and compassion. She is blind to shortcomings and muddled practices that she has put in place for the ADN program. It is important to understand that the only time clear and consistent communication will come from FVI is during the process of admissions. Over a week after my second request to withdraw, I recieved an email from Nairobi Collado (ncollado@fvi.edu) - (unaware of her position or title) where she told me in part to, "no longer contact the school." Meanwhile my withdrawal process is not finalized.

The lack of help for students paying thousands for a class is sickening (traveling professors who reply here and there), there is false advertising, they promise "accommodation" help by email and never follow through, they have an unrealistic passing score that they bump up ever so slightly to make you complete the course again (for profit school) and overall do not care if you fail! MAJOR red flags here!!!! They also do not help you once so ever with placement for practicum. I was advised to take the Wonderlic and HESI tests to apply for the dental hygiene program, then immediately charged $100 once I passed, just for the application. They also insisted I pay $10 to have my transcripts sent through their system. When I mentioned I had most of the required pre-requisite courses because I already have a bachelor's degree, Aileen never told me that credits older than five years wouldn't count. This didn't make sense to me, especially since I hold a college degree. As a result, I would have to pay $80,000 for the entire dental hygiene program--money that I could've saved had I been given the right information upfront. The whole process felt disorganized, and I spent so much time studying for the HESI test unnecessarily. After I realized the program was going to cost so much more than expected, I requested a refund for the $100 application fee. Aileen ignored my calls and emails, but when she wanted my money, she was always quick to respond. I eventually had to track down someone else to get my refund. This school cares more about collecting fees than actually supporting students. I would strongly advise staying away from this place. There are much better, more transparent options out there.

One time there was feces clogged in the toilet and no one bothered to fix it. Other than this, the course went well all thanks to our professor which is the only reason why I would recommend this school.

We pay tens of thousands to attend a school that is lacking in sufficient equipment. Don't let them fool you, the school only consists of 2 floors in the entire office building. With very little study spaces compared to the other campuses. Additionally the "simulation labs" are quite lacking. The arms for IV insertions are falling apart and some are unusable. There are only 3 IV pumps that must be spread out through both floors. Attending open lab is a joke since there isn't enough equipment available. Many things broken or used way past their prime. WHERE is our money going? To add insult to injury, the "student events" we receive are a total joke. For Example, Los Angeles campus received a holiday party that was catered with a Crepe station with many toppings and food to choose from. Our school, where we pay the SAME amount, received cookies to "decorate" but NOT eat because the expiration date on the cookie box was 2020!!!! Are you joking? We pay 100k+ and you can't afford some non expired cookies? Our food option was one box of Walmart cookies that were old and stale. It was an absolute joke and just insulting considering there are people going into debt just to be here. DO BETTER !
