Ask the Community - Southeast Regional Park Shooting Range

What range distances are available for shooting here?

    From 5 to 200 yards.

    Is this range cash-only?

No, all the ranges take credit and debit cards as well.

What are the least busiest times at the range for handguns?

Thursdays and Fridays are the least busy. On the weekends, after twelve noon the crowds drop off.

Are there any restrictions on the type of ammunition I can use, specifically what is the policy on wolf brand ammunition? Since this is an outdoor range and wolf brand is not safe for indoor use, i expect there to be no problems...

No restrictions on brand. Plenty of folks shoot Wolf brand ammo here. However, while we don't have brand restrictions, we have type restrictions: No incendiary or tracer, no .50-cal BMG (regular .50-cal is OK, just not the high-powered .50), no… Read more

Can i rent a weapon and but amo?

We do not rent firearms or sell ammunition. We do provide firearms and ammunition for use in our basic firearms training classes, but not for general use.

Thus why they took the time necessary time to set it up correctly for me. My incredible experience started when I walked in the door. Everyone took time to greet me, seeing if I had any needs as trying to get a feel for the place. Nevertheless, I saw them offer the same caring of service to other new customers that arrived after me , and the customers they did know were all greeted by first names. I felt like I was on an episode of Cheers. When it came time to fit me, they selected a number of bows, ones for me to test fire and get a feel for. Despite thinking I walked into the shop with a preference for one brand, it was not the bow brand I chose. As the day went on, my primary bow salesman worked to tune the chosen bow to my needs. I was impressed by this shop. It was loaded with bow technicians, and each one offered feedback and or technical knowledge to both my bow salesman and to me. I learned so much from the team members of this shop, and I witnessed levels of customer service that cannot be matched. Yes, they appeared to know everyone who walked in, and it was how they delt with customers that they didn't know and or the ones that were disgruntled that spoke volumes. A girl came in with her boyfriend's bow and him on speaker phone. I can only say he was less than cordial, cussing over the phone and ranting about his older bow string--behavior that was tasteless and heard by all in the store. I expected to hear the employees talk about him or turn him away, especially given the fact that he wasn't there to begin with. Instead, I watched a young man working there take the togue lashing before defusing the situation with Roadhouse's "Be Nice" approach. He immediately took the guy's bow, placed it in the vice, and rectified the issue in a few minutes. The issue then became the guy's absence. What I learned: Take your own bow in with an arrow and your release when getting fine tune work done. Off and on I would leave my barstool to shoot more arrows, working to tune the bow with my awesome salesperson. Nevertheless, the more I both sat and watched the absolute professionalism of each team member, the more I appreciated my purchase. These guys worked to solve any problem presented to them; they gave constant feedback and aid to one another despite what they were working on; and each took help from one another, showing not only humility, but also a willingness to meet their customers' needs both efficiently and professionally. I said all of this to hopefully both help someone find an awesome archery shop and to support your local brick and mortar small business. Finally, the icing on the cake was watching League Night take place. It started off with kids, which was awesome to see so many young ones entering the sport and having such an encouraging atmosphere to learn and to grow. The adult league was similar. There was no air of arrogance; from compound to recurve, people congregated, having an awesome time and learning from both one another and the staff, so you can meet other archers with varying skill levels. Now that you've finished my book length review, what are you waiting for? Get up and go visit these guys. You won't be disappointed, and you're not turned away for being just a wall flower and learning. By the way, did I say that I was from out of state--South Carolina, and I wish I lived closer to these guys.

Great customer service while everyone who works there is very knowledgeable and helpful. Can't say…read moreenough great things about them. Thanks for all you do.
